Early September. At The Tent. Splitting Wood. Dropping Trees. New Smoker BBQ. And More

  • I spent a couple of days at the Tent splitting wood and cutting down some dead trees. A new smoker BBQ to replace the failing BBQ that was up there. Exploring a new deer hunting area. Just getting things done that needed to get done before the upcoming deer hunting season. I have to head back down to Louisiana to help Melissa next week.

i dont know what it is about me. Im 65 female and your videos where you build with wood, cut wood, split wood, stack wood are my all time favorites. I think i equate wood with wealth.

How hard can it be doesn't have too many parts. My neighbor asked for help assembling his new smoker grill after he spent three hours trying to assemble it. Walked out to his truck and there on the drivers seat sat a little package with three parts he misplaced, 20 minutes later he was done and his wife still hasn't let him forget that.
Did get a really nice hamburger steak dinner out of it though, told him unnecessary but his wife insisted.
All happened in his back yard, but the look on his face when I walked up with the missing parts was priceless.
You will never run out of firewood up at the tent just harvesting dead standing and down trees.

Been dropping trees just like you for 54 tears since I was 16 cutting pulpwood in the UP. Just went on the Stihl site and others and found the angle back cut is very dangerous according to OSHA. Oh well, I'll try the new way with plastic wedges and a horizontal back cut next week.
