I’m a 70-year-old grandmother four boys and one granddaughter love them dearly. They are a big blessing in my life. I was raised with four brothers older than myself only one remains they were all deer hunters and fishermen. So washing you, brings back a lot of good memories.

Hello, Joe. Just a random comment for you and your many subscribers. I'm a Brit and when I stumbled across your channel I just couldn't stop 'devouring' your videos. There's a lot of cynicism in the world today - and a lot of that is levelled at your country - but I'd like to say that your channel showcases the very best of the U.S.A.: a spirit of adventure, self-reliance and a dry sense of humour. Please keep these excellent videos coming and know that you cast a wider net than just north America!
You are blessed with the space to hunt and the freedom to do so. In Europe it's really not that easy. Many thanks and keep up the good work!

I watch your videos, not because I'm an avid hunter, nor fisher. I just like seeing you go through the basics of simple life. It just seems so peaceful. I'd love to have a small place like yours, out in the woods, like you said, so quiet you can here your ears ring. Great to watch. Good luck in deer season.

For starting your fires, go to Tractor Supply and get some Rutland fire starting squares. They really start a fire fast and they are inexpensive. They are also environmental friendly and can be used for starting charcoal. I use them for everything. I found them by accident. On a campfire I can start split wood to a roaring fire in less than 10 minutes with 2 squares. There are 24 squares in a box for $2.00.

Really been missing a new tent video!! I can't get enough of them. I I've got health problems and am disabled so I can't get up to my property for awhile. Your videos make me feel like I'm kinda there with you Joe. keep"em coming. Keep a really good coat of wax on the truck and it helps keep the branches from scratching the hell out of it and stay looking like new. Thanks for all the videos Joe it helps with the outdoor/camping withdrawls. Lol

Glad to see you back at the tent, the next list you make out for the tent add a small cookie sheet and some plastic bowls to take up there. you can line the cookie sheet with foil so you don't have to wash it, you can get this stuff at one of the dollar stores, now you have to wash the truck. ☺

Just so excited to see your videos from the tent Joe!!! It is so peaceful up there at the tent!! Jerod and I need to make a trip to the bus here soon to get ready for our rifle season the week of Thanksgiving. Of course we won't be there the whole week this year since Jerod and Louisa just had a baby boy (Colton David) on Thursday October 6th. He wants to be home for Thanksgiving so we will only be there for 4 to 5 days. Can't believe you have already gotten some snow. Just this past weekend it got down to the upper 30's to low 40's at night. It is starting to feel like fall now!! Also, every time I watch your videos from the tent I get hungry!! We did get our grill taken up to the bus, so hopefully we can cook some good steaks on the grill outside!! That was some good shooting!!!! That is some beautiful country Joe!! Love that shot of the rainbow, a true hunters paradise!! Juddie

Hi, can I suggest you look for Stainless Steel pipes for your heater. May be a bit more expensive but will last 25 plus years without being burnt out and maybe causing a roof fire. Mine are now 19 years in use and I live through the winter and use it every day when needed. Well worth the extra.

You were talking about bringing your old truck when hunting season starts, to keep from damaging the diesel. At the points where you go to the stands, cut some access lanes so the truck won't get scratched. I say the diesel will get damaged sooner or later. Why not sell/trade the old pickup, and buy a small snowmobile, and drag skiff during the deep winter? Also, if you had the snowmobile there, if you or someone you love gets injured, you could get out of there very quickly with the snowmobile. Trust me, the older you get, the more you think about that stuff. :)

The leaves are falling faster up north than they are here! Can't wait to see how you deer season goes. Quick question...why don't you use a chimney cap of some sort? Won't it being open like that cause water to get into the tent cabin? Just wondering if there was a reason why you didn't? Thanks for letting us tag along with you!

If I burn a lot of pint the cap with the mesh will clog up. Its hard to find a 5 inch cap or ring when I am at the store and thats the only time I ever think about it. I should order one online.
