I had a hard "tent" like that at Clinch Mountain on 150 acres. Would take fall deer hunting trips and spring turkey hunting trips there. Loved spending time there and cooking meals like you do. I turned 72 and have had some health problems so I sold the land and "tent" to the son of a good friend. I have fond memories of the time I got to spend there. I owned the property for 32 years....

Minosota DNR Has got to figure something out. Wisconsin and Here in The Upper Peninsula of Michigan is heading down the same Path. Wolves. Isolated Reports From Hunters in the Northern Lower Peninsula Of Wolves crossing the Ice in Winter. Thanks for still doing the Tent Video s. It's been a part of my Deer Season here in Michigan for a few Seasons now.👍

I always wonder why cook two hamburgers and not more so you don’t work daily cooking. I admire all you do. My husband introduced me to your channel and he passed on Jan. 21 but i still watch your channel like I did with him. You work so hard at all you do. It was a warm one in Wisconsin I was a mentor this deer season for my nephew so I didn't really get to hunt but being able to pass on hunting to the next generation

It's all been logged before. Freshly logged areas always look terrible for a few years. It'll come back.

Joe, I am so sorry that y'all were not able to get together for your deer hunt this year. I understand the weather issue. We've had the same issue in our state. Just not seeing the deer moving. We don't have wolves around here, though. I love those videos. Something just so relaxing watching you do maintenance and repairs. It's just like watching my husband when he's working around our farm. So glad Joanie got to come with you. She is such a darling! And that bread buffet for the birds - they were really enjoying that! Thank you for taking time to create these videos and sharing them with us. I am not sure, it has been many years. I imagine that by now I am feeding the children and their children from the originals. They usually bring their youngsters with them in the early summer. You can tell because they are not the same color yet.
Now that I see you have installed the flue in your stove pipe, I saw an old timer shoot the hole in the stove pipe with a 22 pistol. As I remember it worked out great.
After watching your videos and your love of Gunsmoke. You inspired me and I purchased the complete set. Hopefully after all the logging there will an increase in browse and the deer will return for next year.
Huge Fan for many years. Thank you for the wood burning stove pipe replacement tips. I need to do that soon in my shop. As far as the Lord of The Rings Video, I highly recommend all three of those and all of the Hobbit. You could start with the Hobbit and then to the Lord of the Rings and watch them in the order that they occurred. Even though Lord of the Rings was filmed before Hobbit. We are into our 3rd week of rut in Northwest TX crazy the amount of deer we have this year.
Here in Tennessee, logging small areas (not clear cutting) is good for deer population. Maybe it will help your area. Supposed to be about 70° here tomorrow. Strange weather. Thanks for the videos.

My father-in-law used to shoot the pipe with a 22 bullet to get the hole for the damper. 😂
One time I didn’t have a drill or a punch of any kind to make a hole for my damper at winter camp so I shot a hole through the pipe with my 22 and it worked perfectly…. 😂 To bad about the deer but I know it’s just fun to spend time at camp no matter what is happening. For you it’s no deer and for me it might be a bad fur season. I don’t care I just love being out on my line. Some people don’t understand that. Better luck next year Joe.

A very dissapointing year. I miss the kids, especially sleepy head Sarah. LOL! Hard to except that the deer are gone. So sad. I hope things get back to normal next year. Maybe a good duck hunt will help make things better. Good luck! Take care!
Joe I love the content and have enjoyed for years. We have gone through times of low deer densities at my camp. We still stay at camp but drive up to an hour away sometimes to find some better deer numbers? Better hunting and allows for any deer that might be in your original area to possibly make it. Either way keep it up!!!!

All the canvas is covered so it does not see the elements so I have not had any issues.

I felt terrible for you watching all but especially the third deer weekend. My son for the first time in 23 years won't be with me due covid.
When judges in other parts of the country hand cuff the management of the Minnesota wolf population not sure what you have to look forward to in the future for deer hunting there.
Didn't look like you added a rain cap on the stove pipe. Water doesn't get in the stove?

Joe, did you ever think about using stainless stove pipe. I use it on my shop stove. Never burns out, and less to no kreosote build up.
