- In early 2023 a team of 16 people sailed on the 105ft expedition ketch S/Y Marama from Falklands to Bouvet, and then to South Africa. Bouvet is located approx 1500Nm SW of Cape of Good Hope, 1250Nm East of South Georgia, and 900Nm North of its nearest land - Antarctica. For this reason it's considered The World's Most Remote Island.
Arctic Yachts was involved in preparation of this expedition, sailing approx 4000Nm across the Southern Ocean, transferring all people and equipment onto the island and back onboard, as well spending 16 unforgettable days in this magical place. This expedition took 45 days and luckily everyone came back from this adventure in a great shape, carrying a large bag of unforgettable memories!
