    Hey. Watched your video. I have a Tenacious as well. You stated and showed that the blade was off center after washing it. You can easily center it by adjusting the screw in the center of the clip attachment. Perhaps a 3/4 turn might do it. Knife closed, you can see the blade moving left or right. That should do it. Take care.

    Btw, sometimes the rock container gets caught up in the circular motion of the dryer, therefore you must throw in a couple of other towels to upset the rolls. Plus, it also provides sound cushioning. Just a tip.

    I like it. I might be doing this to one of my Para 3's And one of my Kizer's. I like it better than the acid-wash finishes. I would go another hour personally though. Nice work! Thank you for the video!

    Why do people assume stonewashing requires stones ? If you want the job done properly you need to go to your nearest machine shop and aquire all the damaged ceramic lathe tips they have ( They usually have bucket loads of the dang things) Take these and do the same as you were doing with the stones and you will achieve your goal !

    Sure I would. I would probably not use a better steel simply because of how much longer it would take me to get an edge back on it. The steel on the Tenacious is not so bad, and it still took me an hour before the last take in the video, and then about another 25 minutes afterwards, but it is back to how it was before...and that is sharper than out of the box!

    You have to etch it first, and it’s a lot quicker and easier to stonewash it by hand for about 5 minutes

    You need to etch your blade with PCB etching solution FIRST.
    You can get it at Radio Shack for like $12.
    I like mine really dark so I soak it for about 10-15 minutes.
    Use gloves and goggles cause that stuff is no joke.

      Brandon Taylor yeah, Radio Shack sells ferric chloride for etching circuit boards, it’s basically what is used by most everyone who acid etches knives. Which unfortunately for the guy in this video is the step before tumbling for a stone wash finish

    You're supposed to acid wash first. Also all these people throwing it in their washing machine and using rock tumblers are wasting money and time. Throw smooth rocks in bottle shake for a few minutes and you're done 👍🏻

      , also the city and county have restrictions on length, the cops and knife shop owners usually hold the length of the knife across the width of their palm if it stick out its usually too large to carry. the law is 3" but its at the officers discretion reallly

    Go to a machine shop and ask one of the workers they will probably do it for free (I would have when I worked in die Shop) it would take all of 5 minutes in a sand blasting booth.

  • @Sir_Leelord
    @Sir_Leelord 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    should've put a bead of silicon or hot glue or a small strip of duct/electrical tape on the blade part and let it dry then tumble it.

  • @viniv20
    @viniv20 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Why not put it in the washing machine ? it tumbles enough i think and also makes less noice ..
    btw if it is less effective you could easly throw it in there a couple of times with different washes ... but i think it'd work out just fine :-)
