Never been to the EU/ UK. I do think that localized chains are fun to try - I always like to try them when traveling in my own country - they're going to be consistent and a somewhat fair representation of the types of food that are popular in a region. By the way - great use of the meme - fits perfectly 🤭👍
Toby are hard to knock. It's a pretty good meal, at a very reasonable price. Yes, it's not fine dining, but you wouldn't expect that from a pub chain. I've tried a few, up and down the country, and would have no qualms going again :)
At Toby you can have one type of meat or a few or a bit of each. You then serve your own veg and I generally choose just cauliflower cheese, green beans and lots of roast potatoes. You can even go back for more veg, seconds! There is full choice of sauces and you can have as much as you wish. The vegetable gravy is Mega! We have been regulars at our local Toby near Cardiff Airport for 30 years!
Toby carvery is the type of place (food wise) that is totally edible, it's not the best, but, I've never left a Toby thinking anything is bad and I've also never left a Toby feeling anything other than totally stuffed. It's good food for the price and is way way, way better than pretty much all fast food places.
Another person of culture I see 😂 I honestly don’t understand the hate I read online about it. I was extremely happy, especially given the price! thanks for watching and commenting !
TOBY odd maybe wont be in a michelin guide but toby is ok for the money .... like working peoples food ... if you dont mind paying more money there are much better ..... english sunday roast dinner is odd when done well its very good when done badly its really bad .... my friend from France a chef was astonished how bad gregs the bakers is in UK yet its busy ........ but as I said for the cost of a small cheeseburger you can get a pie drink and a cake ... UK you often get what you pay for ---- meaning pay little you wont get much ... I like spicy asian food and Im english for somebody who does like spicy fresh food --- you cant get much more bland than a TOBY dinner ...
Of course they are much better roasts. And yeah if someone is used to cuisines that are spicy then it could seem bland. But I think it’s all a matter of what you are used to. Thanks for watching and commenting! 😀

Wish there was a Toby in Cyprus so that I would become a regular too!! Thanks for commenting and watching 🙏
The Sunday roast is - like the full breakfast - one of those dishes where if you like the individual components, you'll probably like the whole meal.
Couldn’t agree more! Thanks for watching and commenting!!! 😃
