    Wait so I didn't know a lot of people don't really like a crunch after mousse or gel. I like it after setting my style because it keeps the definition longer and gets softer throughout the week!
    Anyone else likes a crunch?

    I get the best result when I refresh with a second layer of mousse on dry hair. It sounds crazy, but not spraying on water beforehand when refreshing gives me really good definition. There will be crunch, but it softens throughout the week. I’ve done this with both crazy girl and mousse def.

    • @skelatori
      @skelatori ปีที่แล้ว +20

      Same here! If I see any miscreant pieces I’ll put a little mousse straight on it to refresh. On wash day I actually apply the mousse to damp hair, then if I’m going for a fuller fluffier look I’ll leave more water in my hair.

    Hi! Your hair is very similar to mine and I had the exact same experience as you using this product. It was weird, my hair felt moisturized and dry at the same time. I also noticed some frizziness on the top and sides. So, I decided to pair the bee girl mousse with the bee girl gel and got way better results. Highly encourage that. Mouse first, then gel. Cheers!

    I found the Doux mousses leave my hair feeling like straw is the best I can describe it. That’s the ‘dry’ feeling I get. I have course med/high density hair. My thinking is these two mousses work best with silkier strands. I notice that’s what the owner demos them on…

    I'm a banding method girl, pineapples have never worked for me. I band my hair every night of my W&G. Your hair is similar to mine. How many sections did you use with the scrunches? To get the round voluminous shape at your length, make a section in the crown area and pull the hair up towards your face, wrap the scrunchie leaving the curly ends free. It will lift the roots in the center of your head and give you that stretch/volume. When your hair is longer banding in 4 sections will be enough to give the volume for that look.

  • @AlexisKBarnes
    @AlexisKBarnes 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Your hair is just like mine, love it. Shape and everything. I cannot do pineapples anymore- it doesn’t ever do what I want it to do. I live in silk scrunchies banding (one for my bangs and 5-6 sections in the back). In the morning, my curls are down, rather than having to shape it back down and it’s stretched. I have high density fine hair though so I have to force my hair to be big like yours with a pick 🥹
    I think the low porosity and fine strands are why it works for me without leave in. Even spray in. Makes my hair poofy/no definition.

    In my experience I get better results when I use this foam and foams in general on damp towel dried hair starting at the front and then moving towards the back and using a tool to distribute the product. Because of my course surface texture I do need to apply enough to both smooth and clump my natural hair.

    Awesome results omg, I want to try their mousses so bad. If you want to try another product, I think you should try the aloe and coconut water gel by African pride… ( optional: I used the shea moisture curl enhancing smoothie as a leave in. With the gel by itself there’s more definition and hold) my wash n go lasted me 9 days with a refresh on day 7… I’ve stretched my hair with heat 3 times in the week and banded 4 of those nights… wash n go is fluffy and still defined.😌 as my hair gets longer I like the extra definition for 3 days but then I like to stretch and fluffffff!!!

    The way I've been getting mousse to mousse since your last video!!!! I'm putting down UFD first, letting it sit under a cap while cleaning up hurricane conditioner and then go in with the mousse as a topper. First set dries, few more pumps of mousse (because it works) and back under the dryer. I find bonnets allow to much movement for mousse so I go buff which allows less shimmy ing and shaking.

      @@BrittanyMia Yes, actually I have tried it. I love it. The first time my hair lasted 7 days. I partially dried my roots with the diffuser because my hair takes forever to dry. It look better and better each day. The second time I used it on clean dry hair after having washed and condition my hair in the morning pretty much pulled it back into a bun. However, I had to go somewhere so I said well I'll just see what happens if I soak it down with some of the mousse. That time it actually looked pretty cute as well it lasted for about 4 days. It was a softer hold and there were parts that I didn't get really well due to rushing so those parts were more poofy in the roots. During the same week that I had initially used the product the CVS in my area was having 25% off so I went around to the different ones and grab a couple of bottles so I wouldn't run out within the next few weeks. My hair is so thick and it's past my shoulders that it takes a lot of product almost 3/4 of the bottle to do it once. Again, your video is what sold me and made me finally go ahead and give it a try. Big thanks 🙌🏾🎉♥️💯

    The bee girl gel is a strong hold too! But the mousse paired with the gels ( most def w/ big poppa or crazy sexy curl w/bee girl gel) creates a softer hold and secures the integrity of the curls ( less frizz) . I would also use oil last even after the stretching process (heat+oil = fry?) and I do use the mielle pomegranate leave in !

    Hey! I like the results. It is different than your other WNGs, but like you said it's a vibe. I would like to see how this works with the K18. I've never tried crazy curl. I tried the doux and I REALLY tried to be coachable and follow instructions too lol😂 Yea didn't happen. I always felt like it needed something. Fav combo was the mouse, tiny tiny bit of jojoba, and quidad climate control. Try the paul mitchell foaming pomade. I think you'll like it, bc it gets foamy like a mousse but has little heavier consistency. It give great def , volume, hold, and helps with frizz. Thanks again looking forward to the next one💜

    In your previous videos, you said you didn't like strong smells. Did you find the Bee Girl scent to be mild? I have been using the Mousse Def product but find it drying. I tried their leave-in, Fresh to Def, but the scent was too perfumy and overpowering. However, my hair felt very moisturized.

    Your results are gorgeous and I'm really needing to try this Bee Girl mousse, I already use Mousse Def.. I know it says apply to damp hair, but I've not been able to get that to work for me.. The only way I've been able to make a mousse work has been to follow my stylists techniques to the "T".. With that, I detangle during my 2nd/moisture shampoo using a tangle teaser then put mousse in my hair while still in the shower right after rinsing out conditioner in 4 large sections, probably 2-3 pumps per large section, that I then clip up and cover with a suower cap keeping soaking wet.. Using the water as a kind of elongation tool for my hair during the process of adding mousse.. I then finish my shower, moisturize my face and body, then take off my shower cap.. I then one section at a time subsection those large 4 sections.. Adding 1 to 2 pumps to each subsection.. My hair is medium density, so I only have to subsection 3-4 times in comparison to you high density folks.. It doesn't take me much time, dries fast, and gives 3-4th day hair on day 1.. But is a bit drying and doesn't last long.. All and all, I stick to my double gel routine.. Because I just prefer my 5-7day sets.. 😅

    I personally looove mousse, especially the doux mousses, and use them by themselves on wet-ish to damp hair outside of the shower in sections small enough to coat my super thick hair. I then finger coil my whole head bc that's my go to wash and go method (I know, I know, super time consuming, BUT it goes way more quickly if I use good products, like the doux or pattern which i know you also love).

I really love your videos; your wash and go series in particular is top-tier natural hair content, and as someone with a similar pattern, it's super helpful to see how you style your hair. Because applying mousse is different than the botanical gels. It’s said to work best on damp hair, not sopping wet. Although I am getting my hair wet, I don’t add as much water as I would with a gel.

    How long have you been washing your hair every 3-4 days? I’ve been watching your videos for awhile now and noticed your hair looks longer now too! I restarted my hair journey with a big chop in January and usually wash every 7 days while I used to shampoo it every 14 days when it was longer. I’m scared of drying out my hair if I was more often than that though, but your hair seems to be flourishing though!

      I've been mostly consistent with twice a week since the new year, but I've had a few weeks go by here i'll only shampoo once. Not intentionally, but sometimes it happens. I was also afraid of drying out my hair, so I feel you! But I deep condition each time I shampoo and that helps. I've tried just co-washing but it makes my scalp itchy, so I've found that shampooing 2x per week works well for me now.

      Hey 👋🏾 I do one hairstyle lol and it’s a wash and go. I’d say start with whatever hairstyle interest you most and that you like to wear if you don’t like switching it up and doing a lot of styles. Don’t spend a lot of money on equipment until you have tried your best with what you have, use natural lighting if you can (it’s the best), and be yourself.
