Today....I'm re-listening to this a few years after it slipped from my feeble memory. Love it every bit as much... and I really love the dried-out - late 80's - Plimsouls -- power pop vibe that I didn't catch the first time around.

Thank you for making music. I don't find a lot of music these days that I can instantly connect to like yours and its such a refreshing feeling to listen to something (like this) and just feel amazing about it. I also think its perfect you're not staying the same either and you're keeping your music fresh, but it still sounds like you through and through... I couldn't ask for more from you and just have to be thankful you love to make music and lots of people, myself included, love your music.

Okay..... This is dreadful compared to the live version from autumn 2017. She's ruined this song in the same way as she ruined 'No Matter Who' - by writing a melody which swings and then rejecting the best possible/most natural version of the song in favour of straightening the rhythm around it. Fair enough, but she's trying too hard to find a more 'edgy/interesting' version, but the melody sounds like it's being constricted. It's really awkward now, it just doesn't work.
It's great when it works, but for me she's just wilfully disposing of the best versions...
Anyone else heard this last year on the tour? Honestly was so much better.
Dots Grey I thought the same thing when I first listened to it but it's grown on me
I've given it 5/6 listens. I've tried, really but I've got a voice memo version from a soundcheck last year that kills this version. This sounds like a demo - sometimes the song is telling you what you should do with it.
My first time hearing this song was on NPR's "Live from here show" and damn that version kills!
