this song and she herself deserves so much more attention.
Artists like Margaret Glaspy are why I love music. Simply amazing.
Amazing is an understatement.what a beautiful voice and interesting guitar style. God it's so refreshing to hear such beautiful, written songs!
I can't wait to see her live in a few weeks with Spoon!!
Wtf. She’s so fucking unique I love the way she says her words
I just realised it was you who made me pick up a telecaster a while ago. I'm so grateful and full of awe for your talent. Cheers from Poland.
I love the meaning of this
Love it!
I saw her perform yesterday. She was incredible. I talked to her at the end of the concert and I said I am a singer. and do karaoke with my dad every Saturday. :)
lovely song
Beautiful song
Beautiful voice - Margaret, math and emotions in a perfect way!!
I love her approach to harmony! I haven't heard such songs before. Also very intimate lyrics. Needless to point out her tone
Well said...she is amazing!!?
What a great song and great performance.
Great lyrics!
Probably my favorite performance of this particular song that she's done. Simple, laid back, just her and that guitar. Love it!
I love you. The world needs your voice & your songs. Thank you.
Girl, you kill it every time.
possible star in the making. just needs to get out there
God, this is so good
i love ur voice ❤❤❤
ooh girl, that's my jam!
Love it every time!
Beautiful song - breathtaking!
Lying in bed almost in tears. I feel as if I jinxed what I had with a terrific guy by telling 3 people about him. It's like as soon as I tell anyone about something I have going on with a guy, it ends the next day. I had never felt so special, valued and safe before. He made me feel safe. Now...I feel as if he doesn't want me anymore. He just said he was dealing with something and thanked me for being patient. Told me I didn't value myself like I should because I assumed he didn't want me. I just want to be truly wanted one day. I want someone to miss me like I miss them.😞
Take it easy I'm sure you are wanted just a bit anxious
Wonderful Music Margaret, come play LA soon!
Wtf this is so amazing
o! this is fantastic
your voice is amazing to be honest :) don't give up ! :) i wish you happiness xx -Steph
Crazy good.
You are so welcome in Montréal :)
Great song.
The Telecaster was invented for Margaret
Margret, this is Alex. Met ya at Lambert's. If you're out here reading this by chance. I need to inform you this version over the current singles on Spotify is by far more intense and heartfelt than the newly recorded new album cover version.
Margaret*
Margret, this is also someone named Alex. I have never been to Lambert's and I have never met ya. If you're out here reading this by chance. I need to inform you that this version and the current singles on Spotify are both pretty great versions of the same song and everyone has an opinion. Good luck out there!

+Alex Rodgers lol yes! I didn't want ppl to think that one is better than the other in that sense. Bottom line they're both killer recordings.
Margaret, this is someone whose name is not Alex. I have never been to Lambert's, nor do I have any idea what that is. I have never met ya. If you're out here reading this by chance. I need to inform you that both Alex's have pretty great versions of the same first name, different last name.
OMG! I love you
The thing about Margaret that makes her stand apart is her arrangements. She knows how to break up a chord and add melodic lines in between, and this song is a perfect example. The way she uses syncopation in the second verse and the descending parts after the chorus make it so much richer than it would be with a lesser songwriter.
No.....plenty musicians do it and dont sound as good....thats good art men, unexplainable....
babe city
fuck i love this somg

oh my telecasgirl
Session? The audio is the recorded version from Emotions and Math. This is just a music video
Putting some samples together on my channel for Bonnaroo and discovered you in the process. I want to encourage you to keep at it because I think you have good potential. I like your songs : )
Not to be dark
But this describes where I’m at and I’d love to
Cover if you allow!
This has to be the album version, no? Did she use this take for the album, or did they overdub this? I just played this over the album version with them perfectly synced and it has to be the same audio. In either case, I love this song. If this live take is what's on the album, that's amazing.
You'll get really big on the back of this song if you put it in the right places.
great song! Anybody know what they did to her voice during the last chorus? Like double tracked it or added a harmony?
I don't know how they accomplished it, but that can be done with many of the tools out there today (TC is the one that jumps to mind). What they did sounds like a doubler with a slight delay and separated by a little pan distance in the mix.
Sounds like a chorus pedal with added reverb
sounds like a really short delay or a micro pitch shift
what is this effect on her vocals it almost sounds like doubling?
It's a playback, I don't know why...
@@antoningouttard8259 I think it's a super short delay, but not certain.
what font is the title in ?
Karen Dalton
voice...moood.. records are good too, but I think live session is much better
2 thumbs down sucks
