In this video we will take a look at how to update the Intel Motherboard's BIOS. Its important to keep this updated because Without an updated BIOS, newer hardware may not be able to function correctly. I am amazed that Intel have released updates for these older type motherboards.
DISCLAIMER:
Updating the BIOS is dangerous and doing it wrong can brick your motherboard so unless you really need the update. I will NOT be held responsible for breaking your hardware.

I tried this on an intel DQ35JO motherboard. Hit f7 but would not show usb stick. I have legacy USB enabled and uefi is disabled by default.
My gpu wasn’t displaying anything at all , my bios was from 2012 just updated with your video now my gpu is displaying . Thank you so much 🙏🏼

The reason Intel released update for such old system is simple. Spectre&Meltdown.This bios will reduce the CPU performznce with around 7-10℅ at best. It can go uoto 25% worse performance because of the Security problem.

My motherboard is an ASUS, and there are several BIOS updates available since it was released. My question is, can you go straight to the latest, or does one have to do every update from what's on the board to current - or can one just install the latest?
You sir are brilliant bought a batch of 15 machines and fixed the old logo issues and the cmos checksum failure issue
Is it still true if the BIOS update gets screwed up there is no way to back it off and the MB must be sent to the manufacturer for repair?
Currently trying too update a bios from a 1999 computer lol got the file but it needs a disk drive i have few of them only forgot where i put them hehe Nice video and yes it is important too have the latest bios upgrade if possible.

For the Love of God and Computing, why has HP Compaq decided to remove Driver Software Content and Pages from the official HP Website. Especially for my HP Compaq Presario C772TU? It appears especially cruel and unjustified that a running laptop without a stable BIOS has ZERO support from either HP the manufacturer, nor its motherboard INtel nor its BIOS developer INsyde. Anyone know of a solution, be sure to comment. And Yes I've already tried the WIn Key + B and Win Key + V restore BIOS options, but that doesn't seem to work. I'm thinking some way of getting the BIOS file from HP and then putting it on a USB storage may work?

Whenever I turn my pc on it comes up with the Intel logo and stays on that and other times it asks if I want to load defultly or change in bios if I click normal then it doesn't turn on

What about if you don't know your model number of your motherboard. Alienwarea Area 51m-766 with an ambios686 bios i think

hi im after some help i have intel board dq77cp with i5-2400 want to change for the i5 3570k say board is compatible for that chip bios is updated to 2018 all works great but when i put the 3570k in it just beeps then shuts down no picture or boot so dont no what to try next as at a loss i have got the 2400 back in and all working just dont no what to do next if you could help thanks

A nice and simple video I'll be sure to update my BIOS. But I have a question what if a BIOS update, in any case, go wrong or power for some reason goes off..is there a way to revert back to the old BIOS version just in case?
Sometimes its possible to recovery Bios, but not always.
I am a little confused, if I have an asus bios P5NE-SLI but it's an intel Q6600, should I be using an intel bios or asus bios? Is it easier to just flash the asus bios?
I absolutely love your channel btw, I am soon to go off and try acronis, I have had a 120g ssd for months and I haven't been able to get the bios to read the usb boot creatiosn for windows ten for some reason I have no idea why. If the acronis method works wI will be singing your praises...and I am not a singing kinda person.

I got a question Brian: Is there a difference between an Intel BIOS update and an ASUS BIOS update? Because I updated my BIOS update through the EZ utility when ASUS released a BIOS update. However, I'm having issues with acpi and I don't know if the Intel BIOS update will fix that or destroy the computer (if I decided to do that). It's weird bug.

Does it still work in 2021 and window 7? i have a 2007 bois by the way pretty old.
Just making sure cause they said if something went wrong in the bios its pretty much game over.
Should work with Windows 7, I am looking to update from my current Intel D945GTP mainboard on Windows 7 to this D975XBX2 so I can update to more CPUs and more memory. The only downside is that Intel has stop posting their drivers and firmwares on their website. I have never has any issues flashing the BIOS even with Intel's Express Update in Windows, just make sure you disable the network card in the BIOS or unplug the Ethernet cable before you do the BIOS update or else it will not flash the update and post an error message.
Can this motherboard support graphics cards like the rx 500 series of cards even before the bios update?
I have a Rx 580 8gb , my PC is not picking it up . I think you have to update your bios. That’s what I’m going to do.

If you don't need to flash the Bios, then leave well alone, I would only do this if you really need to.
