It hurt me to I thought my fave big knife was a beast.
In my opinion, the biggest disappointment was Condor, especially because they increased the prices so much.

I'm not disagreeing with you. Have you verified the quality of heat treatment on yours or do you use your knives the traditional way? I ask because my Condor knives all had poor heat treatments. Very soft and bad grain size.

Ive got a k tact kukri and I cleaved open a coconut and (unintentionally) carved into my sandstone balcony lmao, edge was indiscernible from new.

When youre not a fucking mongoloid and dont smash them into steel poles theyre quite durable.
Ive used various TOPS knives for sane, practical applications, also bushcraft and different hobby-related stuff, and Ive never had a blade issue, only with the handles loosening up and of course thats an easy fix.
%90 of this "testing" is just pointless nonsense and says little about the knife.
When I was young...I cut all kinds of things. I threw knives into doors, tree stumps... Of course, some underwent some modification, they were mostly shortened. I found machetes interesting but impractical to carry, so I stopped using blades and started carrying axes for everyday use in the forest. The knives sat on the shelves until I discovered Joe x. Since then, I have continued to oppress the remaining blades and intend to continue that practice. I propose that we establish an international association of destructtesters. Joe x would be president for life. If anyone agrees with the proposal, leave a thumbs up or if you disagree, leave a thumbs down.

You correct . TOPS has a quality control issue . They need to pay attention to these kinda extreme tests. The percentage of people using these blades to this extreme is rare. Most will buy the knife to open a bag of marshmallows .

Before I spend thousands on buying machete’s for work, could you put out a top 10 best machete video. I literally use a Machete everyday at work. I clear and Maintain Electrical Transmission line Right of ways and Easement’s for a major Gas and Electric Company. The qualities I’m looking for is a machete to be Tough, Lite, something that’s not overly too long I can wear and swing in tight spaces as well as being able to cut a path in thick heavy vegetation and Chop Tree Sapling’s down. Thanks for another great video

Looks like thick blades and hollow grinds and stainless steel do poorly. The cheaper machetes actually do better most of the time because they can dissipate impact force by flexing, where thick knives don’t do that as much.
