The "Blend Mode" option is gone in Blender 4.2, replaced by two rendered methods: Dithered and Blended. I tried both but the black areas don't get the transparency applied to them. Any ideas on how to work around this issue?
is there any chance you could make a video about using textures or brushes to set up a more realistic looking version of this for flames, or maybe dust/smoke? it would help to save hours of simulation times, even if it isnt as accurate of course

This was very very interesting! I followed it all and nothing broke for me. One question, is it possible to keyframe the animation to make it go slow motion and then go back to its normal speed? I've never used that function about frames and idk how it works, this was the first time I learned about it.
sure, just keyframe different speeds of the textures at different frames in the timeline, and that should do it :) I assume you are doing the boss fight challenge by Clint ? :D

I'm panicking because it's taking me so long, I have to find a tutorial for every single thing I have in the scene and then pray that everything comes together at the end. I really like all the anime style things you can do in Blender

Click on the 'File' tab on the top left and export is one of the drop down options
