Appreciate the work you've done for the rest of us. A shot of espresso for me is 14-20g of coffee. So ... as cool as the whole mechanism is, not even on my list of cool things to try.
So, how are things going 2 months later? You still using your Baristina? Are you still happy with it? That thing now launched in Germany, and since I'm gonna need to replace my old Nespresso machine soon, I'm thinking about getting this one as a replacement.
@@vincentwarte4435 will do an update one day soon, indeed still very happy, tried a veriety of beans and all still works smoothly. still needs longevity testing
I don't think their market for this machine are people who care about grind settings and brew time. Maybe a pro version in the future, with an added steam wand?
@@JanMulder-j6s the milk frother has nothing do do with Baristina. it is the Illy frother (design Piero Liesoni, Liesoni & partners). it works very well, stainless steel so much nicer than non-stick (pfas) nespresso frother. it takes a bit longer to froth but result is also higher in temperature…
What's bizarre is that this guy seems to be the only guy on TH-cam with this machine. Can't Phillips ship this to other people so we can see a few different opinions.
@@larrylitmanen9877 it is still a Philips brand, but like Braun, it is a portfolio brand. Just the name, all activities under another company. And this guy bought the machine himself, out of curiosity and due to the fact it got branded as ‘the next Senseo’ which was my design (waacs 1996-2001)

I love the minimal box design.
Love the Box review as well. 😂 Thanks for your review.
Love the review. Does anyone know of when this may be released worldwide? I live in Japan and would love to get this!

the grinder probably does not go too fine, and I assume it is a pressurised basket. for that reason they might go for the 9.6 gr per shot
@@cricocoo what is too fine? indeed only one setting

Again thanks for this update.

Their website said you can add ground coffee without using the built in grinder. Have you tried that yet?
@@kc6575 yes, i’ve tried and works quite well
Thank you for testing and your time for doing this.
One question, how is the temperature 🌡️ of the coffee?
Greetings from the Netherlands
@@Europeandaytrader temperature is absolutely fine, i did not measure but i expect around 80 to 85 degrees
Can you maybe do a review of the Milk frother

I think he did great. Really informative and what I wanted to find out about the machine.

Can you use oily beans?
