❤😂Diego, another fantastic adventure with beautiful video scenes across America. I enjoyed your musical selections and the views of the mountains...up and down seemingly all day. You're incredible my friend. 😅thanks again for posting to take us along with you.
You are welcome, Verlin. The whole process is made a bunch easier when you ride yourself into pure magic like New Mexico brought me into. You’ll like the next episode. It is of more of New Mexico wonderfulness.
Beauty-full Beauty-Full Beauty-full!!! I’m envious. 😊 I would be hard pressed to have to pick the best of your videos. SO AWESOME Thank you soooooo much for your work both on the bike AND in the videos I watch each one at LEAST 3 times ( usually MORE!) 🙏🏻👌🏼👍🏼❤️
You are the best. Thank you for your appreciation of my channel and its content. I love the process and comments like yours fuel me to keep bring it all to share with you guys. Thank you, brother.
This is how you tell a story! I savored every minute and rewind it countless times. There were shots worth watching more than once. Nice flashback of those elks. It is not easy catching them on camera. I love those 30 something degree mornings... Thanks for the ride, Diego!
Great video as always! When you pointed-out Hermit's Peak, it brought back a nearly-forgotten memory of my youth. I hiked to the top of that mountain when I was ten years old. Did you notice that the mountain's profile looks like an old man's face lying down? Hadn't thought of that mountain in about 30 years I reckon. Thanks for all the hard work you're putting in on these videos. Ride on brother, ride on!
So cool to hear this video popped up some memories of way back and that they were good ones. Yeah, that peak was a beauty. The air and light while i was ridding thru there were great for videoing. I did not notice or know about the profile of the rock looking like a face laying down. Will look for it. Thanks for watching
New Mexico is an American treasure, alpine desert and forest, crystal clear blue skies. Truly the land of enchantment 😊❤. Thank you for sharing your great adventure!!
So much fun, & was happy to have a glimpse of Las Vegas as a friend of mine lived there for years. New Mexico holds happy adventure memories for me. Ride on Diego, a pleasure following you !
Such breathtaking landscapes. I noticed the sky looks so different there, maybe the elevation? The aspen intermingled with pine so beautiful! The elk crossing, a magical witnessing.
Im not sure but it was crystal clear, unpolluted air up there. Sometimes everything lines up. Thanks for watching. The next episode brings more New Mexico beauty.
In 2017 i thru hiked the PCT and had a massive herd come blasting thru the tree line about 100 yrds from where I stood. Scratching my head i thought "whats the hurry".... Then 2 mns after that, a big ole brown bear came lumbering out of the trees... Nature is bad ass. GREAT FOOTAGE!
This episode is the start of the best of this tour. The further west the more amazing the scenery becomes. Thanks for watching. Always great to hear from you.
New Mexico is beautiful. Years ago I rode the Santa Fe Century fondo ride in the foothills between Santa Fe and down towards Albuquerque and back in a big loop. Amazing serenity and cool folks. Coming down from crowded Colorado, it's a nice change of pace, and the food is stellar!
NM food is on point, agreed. I remember quality meals from my passing thru. I plan on going back to see more of New Mexico. Your century ride route would be great to see. Be safe out there.
New Mexico is hands down my favorite state. People are so friendly and welcoming and there's a ton of history compared to a lot of the west! You'll have to do a tour down the Southwest part of the state next time, from Pie Town all the way to Silver City!
I agree. I was so impressed with NM and keep looking ar the map to the south. I’ll definitely be going back. My next tour could be of the very souther route.
I have to agree with you that NM 518 from Mora to Taos is some of the best, if not the very best, bicycle riding anywhere. The scenery is beautiful, the mountains are challenging but very doable, the traffic is low to moderate, and the weather (at least in the summer) is perfect. I enjoyed riding along with you while watching your video.
Psyched you enjoyed watching a route you know so well. New Mexico captured me plenty. I will be heading back there someday to see more of it. The next episode, “Brazos Pass”, brings more of the state’s amazingness. Thanks for watching.
The other hawk is probably a Cooper's hawk. This is my old stomping grounds (specifically Western Colorado) and I'm so glad you got to visit. Thanks man, it was great to see my childhood home.
This is always one of my favorite types of comments. It’s so cool to be able to bring back memories with my content. Stoked you enjoyed it. Cooper’s hawk makes sense, thank you.
Great video, thanks! On the Northern Tier I had a headwind one day from Glasgow, Mt to Wolf Point, Mt. It was only 50 miles, but it took me all day, sometimes pedaling in my granny gear on the open flats with a 25mph headwind. All day... 8am until about 5pm. It became a motel night because a tornado warning was issued as I rolled into town. Low black skies, heavy winds, 10 minutes of rain, and the whole storm missed Wolf Point by 20 miles. Memories are what bike tours are about. ☮
Hello Mike. Psyched you liked the episode. It is a definite fact that the harder the challenge the more memorable it is. Headwinds are more psychology than anything else. I try relax and make it seem as if I was climbing a pass. Realizing that you are only able to go so far helps with expectations. Thank you for your comment and for watching.
Hello from Norway. So cool to hear you enjoy my content. Thank you. The next episode, “Brazos Pass”, will be the last for sometime but I’ll be editing more of this tour when I get back home. Im currently touring and collecting content for a 5th season. More on the way….
It was a lot of fun to ride in New Mexico. The next episode shows more of it as well. Currently amidst the PNW Cascade Volcanic Arc getting my butt kicked. Cycling here is next level. Im recording everything and it will make for some great episodes for later on. I hope you and Ralph are enjoying being back home after Portugal. Thank you for commenting.
This episode of yours feels extra special (they are all special!) to me because just this spring my wife and I drove this stretch of the High Road to Taos and we stopped at the Apache Canyon Scenic View Point as well. Of course by car we didn't get the intensity of the long climbs or the exhilaration of extended downhills you get on a bike. At this time I am n Germany and was riding along the rivers Rhine and Neckar for two weeks. Touring here is so much differnet from what you experience in the US in particular in the Rockies. You roll into a viallage every 6 or 7 miles, you stand on street crossings with three or more other people who use bikes. You are just another guy on a bike - nothing remarkable at all. But it is enjoyable the same time because motorists don't think you are a species from another planet. There are bikepaths paralleling the roads between towns. Stealth camping does not appear to be an option. So if you want to get a different kind of touring experience a European country would be quite a contrast for you. Keep rolling Diego!
Hello Wolfgang. So cool you are in Germany touring. It’s great to hear about what it is like there. I would thoroughly enjoy it there and will surely get the chance in the future. Really funny you saying “species from another planet”. It is true, I so often get that “crazy guy” look from people. Even friends of mine don’t get it regardless of me doing my best to explain the whole process. I get questions like “where do you shower?”. I stare puzzled at such questions. About American touring, I gotta say it is fantastic but it does require hyper focus dealing with difficult stretches of traffic management. The rewards are so amazing, though. We have so much natural beauty here in the United States. Thanks for watching. Be safe out there.

That Mora Wall was stunning. The next episode “Brazos Pass” brings more of wonderful New Mexico’s aspen groves on steroids. Also one insane downhill. I look forward to sharing it and all the amazingness I experiences as I rode west into Colorado, Utah, Nevada and California. Im currently touring the Cascades and Sierra Nevada Ranges from Vancouver to Tecate gathering content for a season 5. Thanks for checking out this episodes.
