    Wow
    Your exuberance and positivity know no bounds
    Seriously, when I get the notification that you’ve dropped a new post I DROP everything and watch it!!
    Man, you are so awesome at this stuff. You don’t miss a single trick. Hahaha
    Of course you don’t miss a single trick you’ve been at it long enough you’re well-versed in all the video blog tricks.
    Again, you are my hero!
    If I only I could do 10% as good as you!
    I love the way you vary between the music the bike road noise and the total silence. Awesome.
    It still amazes me how you manage to ride, travel, map the route, record the route, photograph, video, everything!
    Thank you 5 times over for your trips, your site, your exertions and your never ending love of the cycling road
    I totally agree with you and your statement about being enveloped with beauty on a bicycle as opposed to a motorcycle or an automobile. I ❤️ it!!
    Btw, at the beginning of this video I noticed that Lynskey was creaking???
    Keep goin
    Love it!!
    Happy new year!!

      I'm all in to help you with your content. I wish nothing more than to grow bicycle touring and cycling in our country and the more content the better so don't hesitate to ask for help. Thank you for always encouraging me to keep at this. I feel Im growing still and reaching goals at it. Someday I'll be able to do more and I will owe it all to the support I have gotten from folks like you.
      About the Lynskey creaking, I believe what you are hearing is gravel crunching under my tires. I hear it too in the edits but tough to get it to not pick up the high pitch. My Lynskey is solid as ever and does not make noises. The only noise I get sometimes, which can drive me crazy, is from the Cane Creek eeSilk seat post when the grommets get dry. I have to take a small bolt out and rub the grommet with lip balm and it will quit. Another noise I get, which you heard on the Hot Springs NP episode is of the bottom bracket when it gets loose. I also had this happen on my last tour and it became part of the story for Season 5. The Lynskey is so solid.
      Take care and thank you, brother. Be safe.

    I have cycled up over Dallas Divide Pass to Telluride twice and it's beautiful, from Ridgeway to Placerville make a left and into Telluride and return. Mt Sneffels off to the left on the ascent from Ridgway. Nice wide shoulder, safe and wide road descent. The other way from Telluride to Naturita make a right along HWY 145 is beautiful too follows the river on other side. I want to cycle it again. I would do it in summer not winter. Congrats.

Both times I have gone thru this area I have fallen in love with the scenery and this feeling of being out there. Hi Jace. Great to hear from you. I watched a reel of yours skateboarding. Holy crap, you are really good at it. In my mid thirties I told myself I would learn to skateboard never having done it. Bought a longboard and once I figured out how to balance on it comfortably I got myself one of the shorter types like you use. Well, I did it a while and progress was so slow. I eventually injured my back and stopped. I'm telling you all this because I found out how difficult it is to skateboard. It's great to hear you are out cycling. You sure live in a spectacular place to do it. Stay safe out there, brother.

    It's always great to see a new episode. Generally, I watch them twice: once when it comes out and then again a day later. The beauty of Colorado during that time of year is like a different world for Northeast residents.
    15:10 I was waiting for the Point of Intersection between this 2023 and the 2021 trip. Not to be that guy (LOL), but while you dropped the same hill, it was on a different road heading south. You were on DD30 intersecting CO-141 West (when CO145 ended). In the Slickrock episode, you turn East on CO141 from DD30 and then head south on CO141 where it forks at CO145. 😁
    Certainly mindblowing how many miles you cycled around the USA over the years. Can't wait for the Moab episode.

      @FlyscoutRyder  13 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Not to be that guy, LOL. You crack me up, Buck. I'm the same way, though. One of the many things I miss about touring when I'm not doing it is constantly reading the map and learning about new places. If I hear someone mention a location anywhere in the world I immediately grab the phone and punch in the location. I gotta know. Yeah, that intersection in the Nucla/Naturita area was a unique moment. The other intersections I have done are in Kadoka, South Dakota, Ellensburg, Washington, and Manhattan Beach, California. Western Colorado is likely one of my favorite places to cycle. Not much traffic and plenty of scenery and climbs. Makes you feel like you are out there. Thanks for all your support all these years. Means a lot that you still appreciate the channel and the process. I'm still hopeful that my channel will self sustain someday. Be safe and Happy New Year.

    • @FlyscoutRyder
      @FlyscoutRyder  16 วันที่ผ่านมา

      It is taught tell on the video but I do my best to always set up the cameras level to the horizon. I would say that 8% would be less likely in Colorado. The passes in this state tend to be long but with less grade. The Cascade Range and the Appalachian Range tend to be shorter but way steeper. If you ever are interested in knowing the full data and description of most passes in the world check out PJAMM on the web. Great resource for what you are asking. Thanks for watching.
