@@BruceWilliams by the way, I’ve been looking everywhere, but can’t find the right color strap for my Arctic. You’ve probably seen some good combinations, what would you suggest?
@MJizzle4shizzle I just put mine on the black wristbuddys. It looks good. But not amazing. Did you look at Artem sailcloth in sand beige? That may be the best option for the Arctic
@@BruceWilliams i didnt want to make it an essay long of a last comment, but yes, I’ve checked them out, horus, WB’s, and Seventh Creation, and probably a handful of less popular sites. Came to conclusion that sand looks the best because I can’t find the right “fire orange”. Just haven’t pulled the trigger yet. I remember Artem being one of your recommendations for your earlier BP related videos. Thanks, Bruce!
i must be the only person who loves the nato strap. branded color matched hardware, soft and perfect thickness. it helps im a bruins fan and the black and gold strap looks just like their socks
Nice review. I have some Blancpain x Swatch, and they are great. It's the same design as the original Fifty Fathoms. I have also changed the nato strap for a wristbuddys rubber strap.
i never got convinced on the colors, i went looking for the blue and it really didnt convinced me, instead i got a blue dial orient. Then the ocean of storms was presented on the website i went looking for it... and eventually bought it. Black is the best
I was wondering about these Swatch 50 Fathoms. I've seen the Speedmasters at the mall in Paramus NJ and wasn't impressed but I like these. You gave a great review and I do like the Black version. The aftermarket straps look great- not a fan of Nato straps.
True, just got the new gsteel GST B600 for $180! Puts into perspective how poor value these swatch collabs are. That being said, the blacked out version here looks the best, coupled with the strap
The got this right compared with the MoonSwatch. These are definitely for The Enthusiast and should be worn sparingly or on odd occasions with a rubber or different strap, as the original NATO ones are crap. Put the standard 22mm pins or screw lugs as the ones that come with them are awkward when using the tool. Not meant for swimming with albeit alright for going into a shower or a bath only. Cheaper to replace than getting a Swiss automatic movement serviced every four years. These are fun, collectible and not to be taken too seriously to avoid disappointment. Here is my subjective ranking 1. The Ocean of Storms 2. Artic 3. Antarctic 4. Atlantic 5. Pacific 6. Indian Number 2 & 3 have featured with the No Radiation and Moisture Indicator that retain the special history models that have no date for symmetry. If the case back is a synthetic crystal or hardlex , why is the front dial glass acrylic?
thank you for the comprehensive review. Your first 2 is also my first 2. but you should try blue strap with your second choice. Then it may be your first choice
Antarctic and Ocean of Storms are the best cause you won’t notice those are plastic watch when look a far. I probably will keep my Ocean of Storms as a totem when the movement won’t work anymore
The rankings were mostly what I would have gone with but the Arctic would have for sure been the bottom for me. The Indian would have been second as well

Love the ending! Doing a fulsome and serious review and then finishing up with levity is what all watch snobs need to do more of.

I bought one about a month ago and this wins out over the Speedmaster for sure.
I like these but I don't wear my Moonswatch. I'd be more inclined to go with a GShock or a Seiko in this price range if I had an itch to scratch....
I found that I rarely wore the 2 moonswatches I bought.

Antarctic and Ocean of Storms are the best cause you won’t notice those are plastic watch when look a far. I probably will keep my Ocean of Storms as a totem when the movement won’t work anymore
What strap did you use?
The Pacific needed a yellow dial... Every other watch had a dial matching the case colour
Breguet Type 20 by Swatch would be great!
I wish they release the exact watch but in a small size. But yeah if they do, it does not reflect the original fifty fathoms.

They look very attractive indeed.
Horrible stock strap, Awesome aftermarket rubber band! Really makes the watch wearable
Still too big. If 40mm then we'd be having a conversation.

Ok girly wrist...hahaha JK
Lovely watches, lovely straps. Both overpriced a bit.
Comic book watches at best.
