Most banks now have an app where you can deposit a check by taking a picture of it. And it usually goes thru in 15 mins or less. Never have to go bank either. I use square app and have a card reader they sent for free or can manually enter it. Always get initial payment up front.

In regards to accepting payments with junk removal, could you require 50 percent down, fill up the container, then inform the customer that you're charging the next 50 percent before you head off to the dumpsite?
Or could you have the customer sign a contract stating the above, and if the customer fails to uphold their end of the contract, you take em to court, sue the shit out of them, go on a trip to the Bahamas with the extra cash, and start a rental business in the Bahamas

If you get a lot of 1.5s, why not adjust your pricing model to reflect “up to 1.5” instead of hassling with going back to collect? Then you automatically build in a little more margin on the light loads as well.

How does the client know how much to put in the roll-off to keep it at 1 ton, so they don't get docked for additional charges? Given, they know not to to put concrete, and other specific items in it. Awesome content by the way!

We let them know construction debris, flooded contents and roof material dually exceed the 1 ton and they are fine paying for it after it’s dumped and we calculate the total

What would be the best way to go about payments on a residential weekly pickup just starting out truck+trailer?

I am currently purchasing a roll off with a 20yd container to start junk removal in texas so that I can scale later to dumpster rentals. I know it might be dumb to go out and purchase a lot of equipment early on without a customer base. Do you think that my setup would be too much to start out with in junk removal, or do you think I should start out with something smaller? I know there are a lot of variables within that question, just trying to get some perspective from someone who has been doing this for a while.

I don’t think 20 is too big, we use our larger dumpster for cleanouts quite a bit !

    Excellent contact sir!
If you’re getting your dumpster fees in advance would it be possible to charge a deposit similar to a rental car? For example, dumpster charge $375 for two days and one ton but charge a $500 initial fee and refund the difference after the landfill run is complete? Thoughts?!?

If you were to stay with one side of the business, would it be junk hauling, residential trash, or dumpsters?

That’s a tough call...I typically have a good relationship with bigger clients before I run the card. If it was a 1 time thing like I mentioned in the video I would run it but you need to be careful not to ruin a good relationship with a commercial customer in the future if their protocol is to check with the higher ups
