Emerald green
You need to get the Let's Resin electric stirrer. Will save you lots of effort. Love purple
We use a drill bit stirrer for this big stuff. 👍

Try the resin tape where you put the silver tape. I've had issues with the silver tape leaking.
And we are just the opposite 🤦♀️ the silver tape never leaked. I honestly think it was the mold, he didn’t tape the corner properly.

@glitznglitterbymichelle1 it's a shame the tape didn't work well. The tiniest of hole can cause a mess as im sure you know. But great job you guys for not giving up. And thanks for sharing that not everything turns out great all of the time. The talent is knowing how to fix things when they go wrong (or not as planned) and not giving up. Have a great weekend. Oh boy! I went through Ian in the eye wall for 12 hours at 170-210 mph! We had $240,000 worth of damage! It’s been a year later now and no one around here is completely fixed (as more hurricanes are forming🤦♀️) I pray for you safety and no damage where you’re at. It’s not fun at all and it’s worse to have to work with insurance companies 😡
@@glitznglitterbymichelle1 thank you so much. So sorry you had to go through that. Weather can be a beast. I’m on the Atlantic coast of Canada. Maine is our neighbour. Not used to hurricanes here at all. They usually die off before they hit land but this one isn’t giving in lol. Winter storms are totally different. No flooding in winter and the trees are frozen to the ground. We’ve been getting a lot of rain in the past couple of weeks so the earth is already saturated so tree roots have nothing to hold onto. Anyway, I’m blabbering. Lol Enjoy your weekend. ❤️
Maybe because you taped the bottom but not the ends of the boards. The resin ran out the ends and down under possibly… just a thought/observation. Beautiful job❣️
You might just be right! We now have the proper molds that won’t leak! We had to wait super long for shipping and they finally arrived so hopefully no more leaks!

Would paste be better to use instead of plain mica powder or would the mix of part A of the mica resin interfere with the the normal resin pour? I f you understand what I'm trying to say!

Depends on how often the get used and washed.
So what happened that it leaked so badly?
Still not sure, I think he missed a spot of tape on the corner of the mold.
Hey Beautiful job! PLEASE somehow make a note somewhere to help people understand that you DO NOT mix the water that you used to test the color into the resin. Some people take things extremely literally. I just received a phone call from someone who said "Hey check out this video, they mix the mica in water first to get the color correct, and then add it to the resin". I understand that is not what you did nor is it what you intended to convey but that's what they understood. I explained to her that you could not add water to resin. But she was convinced that you had. Even after rewatching the video, she still believed that you had. She decided to prove me wrong. She also believed the resin calculator. She added one quart of water to 2 gallons of resin and poured it on a $400 slab of wood. Now we are waiting for it to cure. 😮 I am not in any way suggesting that you are responsible for what she did. I would just hate for anyone else to misunderstand. Love your videos and sense of humor! ❤
Omg! I never even realized that someone who works with resin doesn’t know that you never mix resin and water. Oh boy! Ok, on the next one we make I’ll try to remember to correct that! Oh goodness maybe snapshot this comment so she/he knows not to mix them. I was even showing myself mixing the resin and micas I. The purple video. And the “calculator” was extremely wrong which is why I didn’t mix what they told me. I hope their piece can be completed and cured properly. I have one coming out and edited for next week by the following one I will be more clear. Thanks for the comment!!
Resin is not food safe
Yes some of them are, here I was speaking of the oil rubbed on the wood, that is definitely food safe. Check out Odies Oil.
