You’ve got that right. In retrospect I am enjoying the music because of all the memories attached to my life experiences. Kinda like a soundtrack of my life. It’s great to see new fans who can sense the essence of the era thru groups like the Eagles

If you listen to this whole album (Live At Largo 77’) you can hear Don Felder just painting beautiful colors all over these songs with a Fender guitar. It’s glorious.

Eagles have always been my favorite group, and I always loved Glenn’s voice as much as Don’s. In fact my two favorite Eagles song are Glenn sung including New Kid.

I was just talking to someone about how the Eagles peaked at particularly great time in history in the US. Cheap SoCal real estate right on the beach, cheap gas&food, beautiful skinny women, no social-media mind viruses, etc. They were also the founders of "California Country" and known as the "cocaine-cowboys" for their massive drug habit. Those were the days.
Key change, beautiful harmonies, lyrics strong both literally and metaphorically -- you just don't see this combo in songs anymore, often not even one of the three.
I got to “live” the topic once, as a teenager of 17 yrs young. Visited my grandma in a small town over the summer, 1,300 miles from home. I’d “drag main” in her car & garnered lots of appreciative stares from guys. It felt sooo good as my Senior HS class was 850’ish kids. I felt like a very small fish in a big pond of 3,000 kids, back home in Tulsa. Thank you ~ Eagles! 🫶🫶
