But seriously, can the Eagles just STOP doing everything they can to ruin my fondness of the band since my childhood in the 1970's! PLEASE?
I bought your albums multiple times since...
I patiently waited for "Hell to Freeze..."
HOW MUCH MORE MONEY DO YOU NEED?

Who's Still Listening To This In April 2024?

Not only am I listening to it in April, 2024 my friend…I’ll be performing it w several other Eagles classics at a small gig next month to 40 adorable elderly church folks who love the Eagles.
🎸😊🤚
Always ❤
Never stopt listning
I'm listening to one of the greatest bands in history!
You are watching probably the most talented band to ever do it.
May be, trouble is there are too many others their equal!😂
The eagles American band the best of it’s time thanks to all of them and don henley he created the eagles
@@johnmcgowan7347Nah, there's none that are their equal.
Amen, Jamie!
And formed by another brilliant voice,Linda ronstadt
To all the people that think they know how to play music nowadays here is your lesson. No computer. No voice machine. No fancy stomp box. Pure talent at its best
They had these things back then, many songs use them. Look at Earth Wind and Fire or ELO. This kind of technology, while relatively new at the time, was still being used and experimented by bands all around the world by the late 70s

The older I get, the more grateful I am. What a time it was.
That's the truth. Greatest Band ever! All important and blessed parts of my life I celebrated with these guys. Still do at 70 yrs old. AMAZING!
So True !! 😎🎶🎸
So true. Music like this will never come around again.
I agree, it’s insane to think how life changes.
True!!!!
The licks of Don Felder and the voices of Glenn Frey, Randy Meisner and Don Henley… just perfection. One of the greatest bands ever.
Don't you go forgettin' about Joe Walsh, now.
Yup!
Smooth
We all love Joe ❤
Glenn❤
One of the reasons The Eagles was successful: those musicians are all listening to each other and working together.
Yes. The eagles were a great band. The sound was fantastic. I miss the time when I was young, happy and blessed with excitement music.
Rusty
They all may not have been working together, Glen frye/Don Henley and Don felder didn't really get on cos they were outshone by his guitar skills and never gave him the credit he deserved
@@coliekeane3398I'm watching this just a couple of hours after finishing Don Felder's autobiography. Henley and Frey really screwed him over bad.
Great band, though.
Easily one of the best Live Performance of all time.
..by one of the wery best bands ever
ALL OF THEM SANG LIKE ANGELS... IDK, WHY PEOPLE ARE NOT MAKING MUSIC LIKE THIS....????????
Believe me there are still many of them that makes these today. They’re just not as famous compared to back then
Only one Eagles!
Thanks!

This content is culturally significant. Posting it on TH-cam will ensure that future generations will have access to it and appreciate it. Thank you for sharing it.
Pure talent how privileged we have been.We will never see the likes of these bands ever again in this crazy world we all live in now. Count Your Blessings.
I do…❤
Really sad so many will never know great music, but we got to live it and I'm grateful.
Eagles' 5-part harmonies are phenomenal.
So naturally talented that they sound just as good live as their studio-ized recordings.
Its hard to believe we lived in that age of such great music 😍😯
👍 Brings back some great musical memories for me now at almost 70,. I appreciate music like this even more now than I did when it was 1st released back in the early days!
Yet we did, something to ALWAYS treasure and cherish😃
Sur did loved the 70's
Still the number one American band.
That's right !
One of the BEST.
These guys have easily some of the best harmonies on the planet.

Who is still listening? Us old guys who graduated from HS in 1977. Became successful. And had the same thing happen? Money can't buy you love.
This song never gets old. I can listen to this song every day and night.
Songwriters, and the music that is being played on the radios these days, should be mortified when they can see what talent actually is
It is sad, that radios don't play good music anymore, but thanks to youtube, you can find talented young musicians here. And the young ones love to listen these kind of music nowadays a LOT! It is refreshing for them to hear real voice and intruments...
Damn right
Mate there are no songwriters. There is AI, a synthesiser, music & marketing executives deciding what new sh!t to peddle to middle/upper class kids/teens & a dirtier version with those a little rough around the edges. This is the age of the producer, programming a synthesiser with funky beats (bass)/ percussion, simple synthetic melody & rhythm. You need a lyricist to go/flow with it. High female sexuality emulating strip clubs are promoted & Disney's tinkerbell image. Then there are probably LGBTA tropes. Then for masculinity, because they hijacked the rap genre from protest against the establishment (themselves included) & Gestapo, some petty crime (American speak = misdemeanour) is a pre-requisite with lyrics containing as much profanity as possible while demeaning/endearing each other with a slur (they apparently own) and obviously, obscene jewelry, obscene hyper/highend exec cars, many proverbial "rap-ho's", obscene dental work, obsene fashion, tatoos(no gender bias) stunning mansions, wads of cash etc.
Just like Mozart or Wagner this music will retreat to the ears of the privileged as we fade out of existance. Ironically, perfect timing & harmony is what makes music great but the same time will erase it when everyone alive forgets. 😂
I will be enjoying/listening to these magnificent tracks to my final days, if I am lucky to. I suppose most who appreciate Wagner, Mozart, Vivaldi etc might refer to this as folk music. To each their own. I enjoy both 😂
I hate this sentiment. I'm a classic rock guy and don't listen to new music much but I'm sure there's plenty of amazing music now.
@@thenerktwins Its a tough one mate, I have a neighbour more like a nephew who has become a talented rock guitarist. In a weird irony, I had a Casiotone in the 80s which provided another neighbour the inspiration to study music. I can't play still 😂.
The same neighbour gave this baby, he is a fully grown man now, lessons. When I heard him play, I smiled sarcastically at him. Being a fatherly figure I had to share this cold fact with him. Classic Rock left the mainstream by the 90s. I would call, Bryan Adams/Dire Straits/Fleetwood Mac etc to be the last who fell under the mainstream. I would not inlude Nirvana or Metallica because I don't know a single song of theirs.
I told him the only market he would have are oldtimers. Any person in my demographic, his or younger demographics would have almost zero demand for his type of music.
Sad truth, the first American export musically was, big band/New Orleans Jazz. I still remember those tunes which when I was a kid was popular to the 60+ brigade. I would have liked to go for tap dance lessons. Who except you & those watching this clip even knows what that was/is 😂. Then came boogie-oogie, we now have genres I do not understand nor care about. So will the person who will not watch this performance. Cheers mate.
This is what I call the Perfect Song! Incredible Vocals! Harmonies and Instruments! Glenn Frey was on fire! It literally sounds like the studio version!
no autotune.no fancy computer gimmicks.just plain old super talent
Gives you (me) a warm fuzzy feeling when it DOES sound like the album, and they don't F**k it up because they try to DO TOO MUCH Live.
And the visuals that are inspired by the emotion….what a price to pay 😢
Absolutely perfect song. Their best one I think
Being ultra-true to the studio version (i.e. the song) was the hallmark of their live performances.
Do you hear this? This is called “music”!
Right on
they won't have a clue now
yess!
I'm deaf actually
Very right on my man
I’ve listened to the eagles thousands of times, and even today it feels like the first time.

I was 19 in 1977. Loved the eagles since then. Best harmonies ever. Nothing fancy. Just play and sing.
My grandmother always told me she was an Eagle’s fan, she told me she went to high school with Glenn Fray, same year, graduated same year, they even had one picture in their yearbook where she was standing right next to him.
Awesome!!!
Thank you, she’s still alive and what’s even crazier she still remembers everything, it’s absolutely nuts how life can be :)

Musical perfection. Five musicians at the top of their game the likes we'll never see again.
The best line-up ever... so sad to think both Randy and Glenn are gone now. RIP. Please let us have more from this particular gig, in fact, publish the whole concert!
If you buy the history of the eagles blu ray - it includes a disc with this full concert on it - “Eagles live at the capital centre 1977” - enjoy 😊
Indeed; I never really got to see them live but once in Chattanooga and Glenn was there and Joe Walsh in Chattanooga TN at Riverbend Festival and I was probably 8 feet away but it was so hot in June and it was so packed in with people sweating around me I got claustrophobic and left. Don't mean to be a dick but, your age is towards the best age to be a fan. You might have been able to see them live back in the 70's.
That stage is so full of talent it's a miracle it didn't collapse.
At the peak of their powers.Simply Brilliant! I`m 67 now, these guys never, and I mean never get old!

My wife & i saw them in Dallas in 1977. Best concert I hace ever experienced...!!! Oh too be young again in those days.. im 74 now & still get that old feeling..
Lucky you!
In my opinion, the best concert of all time would be a double bill of The Eagles and Fleetwood Mac.
July 3, 1976 the Omni, Atlanta, Georgia: The Eagles and Fleetwood Mac. Fleetwood Mac opened the concert. Many things I've forgotten about in my 72 years, but the night of 7/3/76 isn't one of them!
Let's add Lynyrd Skynyrd to that bill
This is one of their best songs. Brilliantly created. Frey’s silky voice, Felder’s brilliant lead riffs and the harmony is a perfect blend for an iconic song. Eagles at their very best.
Agreed!!!!
i agree, one of their best songs
Not sure if anyone can pick the best Eagles song, but "Seven Bridges Road" showcases their harmony better than any other song.
@@robedmund9948 that’s a great pick. I agree it’s one of their best songs but not so popular as the rest
The best vocal band ever
I love this full version of the song. I've been listening to the Eagles since the 70's and i'm not stopping, they are great, one of the best.
Love the Eagles! Still listening in 2024
I hope you’re on, I picked you because your the most recent comment. I come from a dysfunctional home, made up my mind I would break the cycle. Son is university graduate nursing, loves it. Me too Sandra best band ever I reckon this is just a classic could listen to this song 365 days a year
This is one of my favourite live concerts ever, they managed to make it sound just like the studio recording. Can’t get much better than this. Now days it’s just some performer doing a song with 3 lyrics repeated. This is 1 million times better!
I agree today’s music is just rushed to get it out there. We need an artist to step up and create music with meaning like this one.
Absolutely the best
This was my mom's favorite song, and she used to use the line "You can't hide your lyin' eyes," all the time and now I use it. Thanks for uploading.
It’s a great, great, great song and belongs in the great American songbook.
I’ve been listening to this song since 1975 and the is the best this song has ever been performed thanks to Glen and Don. Thanks guys!

I was 17 in 1977. Just started in the motor trade. Still in it and retire end of the year. Eagles have been with me all the way. 🏴
Same here 17 in 77 and that was the first time I saw them live .
Same here 17 years old just graduated hs. Music was not divided by color or genre. Those were the best days Ever !!
Same here, 17 in 1977. My 40 year old daughter knows all their songs because she was brought up on them
Happy Retirement!! May the road open up to you as you travel and relax with the Eagles playing you down the road.

Those harmonies ❤❤
The best of the best
You’ll never hear pure harmonies like this exact song ever again
Joe Walsh has those expressions the ones all great musicians get while performing
This is one of greatest songs ever-their harmony is flawless.
Definitely my favorite Eagle’s song, they wrote this song in 1971 if I’m not mistaken it was in a bar in California.
I thought Randy Meisner wrote it (?). Although I’m sure everybody contributed elements.
Hell froze over in 1994! Thank God!! Great concert. To hear a whole football stadium of people (old AND young) singing along was awesome!
This is the best Eagles song and video on TH-cam. Nothing better. Don Fingers Felder.
All the songs of Eagles are classic.
One of the best performances of this song I’ve ever seen and I’ve seen the Eagles over 20 times. Nobody can sing this song Like Glenn nobody

I am so jealous. Best vocal harmonies ever!
I was there with also. Saw many great concerts back in the day. Graduated in '77.
The soundtrack of my late teens, in 1975, then through my twenties, thirties, forties, fifties and sixties etc until I am no longer here to hear them. This band, this music, this magic will outlive all of us. God bless them all for the best music of my lifetime.
Music groups DON'T compare to 'yesteryears' groups. All members can play an instrument and sing!! No autotune! No back up singers! This is how music history is made!!!
Was fortunate to see the Eagles in 1980. Saw them sing this and many other songs at this stage in their careers. Tickets were only $6.50. I will never forget how awesome they were. Great concert.
The Eagles were really on that night, and this great song perfectly performed,
with great harmonies. Great smooth vocals by Glenn Frey, and we'll all miss
the genius he brought to the music industry. RIP Glenn.

What a song, band so melodic even if you don’t know the lyrics you know them they fall out so beautifully such an amazing piece
Man this band had it all. Bob ross Henly with catchy voice with incredible drum playing, Jesus Christ Felder with incredible technical spot on guitar playing, Mickey mouse Walsh witb funky goofy guitar playing, Hulk hogan Frey with Melodic voice and good acoustic rythm, Angelic Meisners with higher pitch vocal with spot on bass playing. If they didn't had any conflicts and if this lineup stayed throughout the 80's this band would be the greatest of all time.

50 Years old song and it is still the best one than any new songs these Woke days !
Just so beautiful !
🤢
Unironically using the word woke is so ridiculous. Stop buying into all that culture war nonsense
"The Last Resort", a song by the Eagles, solemnly describes the "white man's reign" over what is now the US, including Hawaii, and how they've ruined the environment in pursuit of their greed. So if anything, the Eagles was just as "woke" as many are today.
And along with so many other tunes from back then kills dead evrything today.

This band is/was a national treasure. My gawd, what a perfomance. Summer 1977, outer banks summer vacation, hotel california always playing. Such good days. I was 11.
OK, 40+ years later...not sure what to think...I first heard Glenn Frey on Beverley Hills Cop soundtrack (The Heat Is On) back in '84 and then subsequently found out about the Eagles who at the time seemed ok. But looking at this video, these guys are freakin' legends!...I was 3 years old when this was recorded, I don't think anyone can beat this. Freakin' awesome.
