Hi Ryan , having Nick there with you makes my wife and I very happy, He is a good teacher, mentor and friend. We support the Pethericks❤, the Moons and you. Hope for success in the reconstruction.
This is fascinating to watch and just like the Convent we see it taken back and put together again and will no doubt look lovely. Ryan I’m letting all the adverts run in full to help you!
‘No biscuits, but I’ve got a toilet that flushes’! Ah, priorities Ryan, I do appreciate someone who has the right priorities! Well, lots of progress this week and a very good decision on the attic floor. That’s great space and it makes it usable for any purpose. A nice bedroom with ensuite or a studio just adds value to the house. Looking forward to seeing what you get up to next week, stay safe!
What a great way to learn Ryan. Looking forward to next week. The world would be a better place if there were more Nicks and the Moon family around. I love their work attitude and the respect they teach their children. If you haven't watched the Magical Moon's you are missing a lot.
Music....spot on, as usual. You two make a great team. Redoing the attic floor....best decision. It's a lovely space. A lot larger than most all of the rooms in the house. Can't wait for the next video.😉
Excellent progress. Yes, you need a kettle. Put together some essentials in a plastic tub. Tea, coffee, biscuits, dishwasing liquid, tea towel, cutlery, mugs, plates, toilet paper and hand soap. Throw in some cloths for washing up. Make sure you have a first aid kit on site and get some eye protection. It will make you a little more comfortable while working. Nick is a great help and fun. ❤🐨
Especially eye protection. Those small grains of dirt. You only need one to get in your eye. We have done plenty of reno's. I will always go for the eye protection first. Dust mask or old scarf was second.
Those items that you mentioned plus a microwave oven and industrial type vacuum cleaner were all taken to my new home when I commenced my renovation to make the house inhabitable. I remember getting all the items put aside at the old house ready to take to my new home as soon as I received the keys. Being a retired safety officer, I bought a new first aid kit to take to the house. I've never had to empty a vacuum cleaner as many times as I did during the renovation. We ended up sitting on outdoor folding chairs at our breaktimes with a sturdy box as our make-do table. Luckily the previous owner left the fridge, so we were able to keep milk and cans of soft drinks cool.
You are truly blessed ! You have such a good group of people around you ! Nick is such a team player; he has his own family; works with his wonderful horses, has his own channel and he still makes time to help out you and Billy. Reminds me so much of Simon ! You are learning so much And in your learning, you are actually teaching a lot of the rest of us ! I’m 65 years old and I’ve owned my own house for almost 20 years, and I can’t tell you how many times I’ve watched you do something - - and said to myself “ oh, so that’s how I was supposed to do it!” Keep smiling and keep up the great work !!
Just look around for some plastic garden furniture that everyone has laying around somewhere (I imagine your parents or Nan will have some as well). That will make your life easy because if they become to dirty they are easily washed. For a table if you have some planks laying around and some long nails I'm sure you and nick could make a makeshift table. And don't forget a plastic tote/box to keep your tea supplies dust free (you'll be glad that you have everything on the ready and dustfree when taking a break).
@@Kaasmof I enjoy both. There are times when a spot of tea is the perfect amount of wake up needed. However, other times call for a direct infusion of caffeine-fueled pure energy for monster projects. 😊
@@samsmom1491 When I dont want coffee in the morning, my wife is really concerned, but as soon as I ask for tea, she calls an ambulance, knowing I am really seriously ill :)
Like how you are making the vlogs like a story with links in the narrative from one episode to the next. Really appreciate the music credits at the end. It will be magnifique! One step at a time.
Simple folding table and chairs are great for construction projects. They wipe down nice. Can by stored with little space. And can be used after the project as needed.
Or even folding lawn chairs. Someone must have a few to spare. And, they're a bit more comfortable than hard kitchen chairs. Easier to carry up and down the stairs, if needed. They can use a storage bin or two to keep supplies safe and clean and they'll double as side tables. When working a big project, I'm a believer in having a "Work Central" Spot. Space for my phone, coffee, pop, music/speaker, to do list, supplies...
You can make a bench from an old used plank or an old door bit of wood on bricks for the table instead of buying while renovating 😊 better than wasting money on something that end up ruined or covered in paint plaster etc.
So glad Nick is able to help you. You will learn alot from him. Brains and braun get the job done. Looking forward to seeing this renovation progress. Crack on!
Well done Ryan and of course Nick . You will be guided by his knowledge ,he will guide you in the best direction. So many possibilities for the attic Ryan.
Wow what a difference already! I am so excited for you Ryan, and how wonderful is Nick for helping you out. What a great friendship you both have ♥️ I look forward to the next video.
My goodness, Nick can turn his hand to anything. What a lovely bunch of guys you all are. Always helping each other out. I love watching the progress , onwards and upwards. Good luck. 😊❤
You two definitely compliment each other! Great that you're going to take the attic floor up. Best option in the long run. Get the mess out of the way and a blank canvas to start from. Love ya ❤
I really like that Mr. Moon is helping with your reno because doing hard work or not fun work is much faster when there are 4 hands doing the work. You'll both figure it out beautifully.
Life just got better! We can watch your house come together and see more of Nick Moon. Hopefully more will learn what The Moons do and subscribe. Love the Life of Ryan …. and the way you and the Pethericks support The Moons 💕
Nick - when my father built our home in 1959-1961, I helped him with many things, including with cutting threads on the water pipes - and I remember we used something, as you say, that resembles horsehair, packing twine blows. I was a 12-year-old girl (my father's boy)! Now I am 75 years old, and remember it all with pleasure.
Love Nick Moon and his beautiful family, if anyone hasn't seen his channel yet, you must! They work so hard for a fabulous cause. They need as much support as they can get. Ryan, you and Nick are doing great!!! 👏👏👏 xx

Good job done this week. Nick is a man with golden hands we say in our language. And the courage to demolish on that floor, realy scary. Good decission to renovate the attic floor👍 See you next week💪🏼
Is there anything Nick can't do? I think, even though every board that is torn out is a dollar sign (or euro sign 😂) that it's best tackling this first part to assure you have a stable foundation on each floor. Great job guys!
I love the Moon family channel. What a beautiful family. Nick is a great asset to your project Ryan. Take care of him. Get a little table and two chairs and tea and biscuits. Some say you are frugal and I admire that but not spending €45 for a comfort break is a bit mean Ryan. Lighten up those purse strings a bit. Hi Ryan! Love what all you guys are doing, renovating those beautiful old houses and buildings. I started watching your channel about a year ago and I haven't missed any since. Even tho you haven't asked (sorry, I can't help myself) and it may be too pricey, have you considered taking the little bath/laundry room with the leaky roof and adding a floor or two?
