So you should see movement, veins, or something after 5-7 days of being in incubator? I’ve done chickens but never ducks. We have a large pond near our house, I want to release them after full maturity. Just found your channel thank you. How often do you mist? Anyone who wants to answer I’d appreciate any info 🙏
Yes I usually see great veins day 6! That would be awesome to release them. I misted the eggs once a day. The last three days were the only days I didn’t mist them
Is the turner youre using the turer that comes with the incubator? I'm getting welsh harlequin eggs and want to know if they'll fit in the 22chicken turner or if I should buy 😂3D printed 18 egg holder for duck eggs.
I wouldn’t do it unless it was your own pond, and you ensured they were eating properly. There are duck ponds here where I live, that are full of malnourished sick domesticated ducks.
@@JesusLovingHomesteader Many thanks for the information. I will take your advice. Unfortunately I don't have a private pond though there are ponds near to where I live. I incubate quail and button quail eggs though I am experienced in keeping them safe and well looked after. I don't have any experience in ducks..
New to duck eggs. I have the 360 and have hatched my first chicken eggs. The 360 is set up for automatic for chicken hatching, How do you set it up for ducks?
You just need to press the menu button that will tell you days till hatch. You should be able to hold and press for 3 seconds and it’ll allow you to edit the days to hatch up to 30 days. Which you only need 28. Hope this kind of helps! I just started incubating my first clutch
Hi! I came across what i believe to be a duck egg out in the open/ with several dogs running around a few days ago. I picked it up so that the dogs wouldn’t crush it or eat it and I didn’t notice any nest around so I brought it home and made a makeshift incubator. I’m so curious if anything will happen with it! I doubt it, but it’s fun trying 🤞 Helpful video- thanks! 😊
@@JesusLovingHomesteader Oh I will, thank you! I’ve been candling it with a small flashlight And so far nothing looks different from day one😕, but it is only day four so I guess there’s still hope.
Well, nothing ended up developing but it sure made me want to try to do it for real sometime with an actual incubator and viable egg. I just don’t know what I would do with the bird once it hatched 😂
I have a duck egg. It has a very small Crack. No leaks. I can see the yolk of the egg. The duck laid it on my back porch. And didn't come back. All I have is a heating blanket. What do I do?
Unfortunately it’ll be really hard to incubate it with a crack in it. Also you’ll need an incubator, or a broody bird to sit on it for it to grow into a duckling 🌸
I just bought an incubator & it was falsely advertised. I can control temp but not humidity. Temp is staying at 99 but humidity is staying at 66-67! Should I go ahead & return it? Is this not going to work?

I want to know if my eggs r good before I put them in a incubator
Love it! We have yet to get an incubator, but we have a broody hen! We might have to put her brooding skills to the test this year!
Ohhh! None of our birds are broody when I need them to be lol

Yes I’m using the turner it came with
Is incubating duck eggs then releasing into the wild at a large pond in the spring a viable practice?

Great video!! I’m so glad they are doing well. ❤
We are as well and it’s always exciting!! Can’t wait to put more meat in the freezer and more eggs on the counter.

The paper with the incubator should tell you. Even the stickers by the buttons

Very good lesson. It takes time for things to grow and mature.🤔👍
You are exactly right ❤️

It’s definitely possible! Amazon has very inexpensive candlers, and mini incubators too. Keep me updated!

What day did you candle them?
6th, 15th, 25th usually
@@JesusLovingHomesteader thank you I’m just starting my duck egg incubation process and your videos are so helpful I really enjoy them!💕
@@kaylalong2929 Aww thank you :)
Seriously so cute!!!! 💛 I can't wait to see them !
They will be so cute!
He he we trying too. Hey guys!
Hey!! Awesome. This weather makes me want to do all of the things haha

That is so odd!! I would take it back and get a different one if there was no way to get the humidity down. What’s it like if you don’t add water?
What incubator do you have?
Nurture right 360 ! I absolutely love it
Thank you for this video and the information
You gave me hope that I will be able to get baby ducks to hatch. My ducks are about seven months old
You’ll do great!!
I will be incubating eggs this spring.
Yayyy!!
