I've raised chickens and ducks for several years now and I'm still amazed at how fast fertilized eggs develop and it's so rewarding to watch them hatch and grow.
Howdy Kit!👋 So cool of y'all to share this with us. We had ducks, chickens, and turkeys when I was a kid...takes me back.😀 Y'all have a pretty flock and two really cute fur babies.🙂 Merry Christmas!🙂
Thank you for the video. We are about to take the plunge into ducky heaven. Do you have any other advice you can share now that its been a little while?
Thank you!! I have been trying to find videos of people using that incubator, the lady I rescued my first 2 ducks from gave it to use, sadly the female passed today so we are hatching her eggs! This video was helpful
Hi Kit, that was great , you should hopefully get a couple of good layers out of them, well worth the effort, many thanks for sharing, have a great Christmas and a happy new year, kind regards alan……………. THE DAWN CHORUS PLOT 👍🌿
Thank you for sharing. I have the same incubator but failed several time to hatch the duck eggs. Can you provide the frequency you add water and what is the quantity ? By default the incubator turns every 2 hours. Thanks
They will make nice eating birds, I have just put some duck eggs in incubator for eating but will probably keep a few for layers as I love duck eggs 👌🤤
Lovely video, your duckilings are so cute! Is it safe to hatch in winter? I want to give it a try but I am scared they will be too cold in the winters ahead.
Hello, I love the video and found it quite helpful. Last month I started finding duck eggs in the sidewalk of my walking path. Two were slightly chipped and little pieces of the shell had been pushed in. The membrane was intact. I've been incubating them in an incubator that rolls them over about 2 rotations every 2 hours. The first one started to develop, but now on day 22, I see no movement. Any suggestions?
I number my eggs so i know which is which, and keep a daily diary of humidity and temp levels. If you do it from fridge, let them warm up to room temp before placing in the incubator. 😊
Do you know what breed of ducks they are? I currently have 5 ducks in the incubator purchased from the supermarket but a Braddock white isn’t a real breed of duck. I’ve tried to research it, but couldn’t find anything online
Omg they grow so fast, how long do they take to hatch I hatch chicks but my ducks are due in 6 days so I don’t want to freak out and assist if I don’t have to, they grow so fast omg. What type of food do they need as hatchlings chick feed?? Thanks for the video btw I also hatched from supermarket eggs two hens Your roosters are pretty what kind are they?
I have that exact incubator arriving at my door tomorrow. Is it as simple as keeping the humidity higher than chicken eggs and letting it go for 28 days? Or do I need to take them out and cool them each day? I've never incubated duck eggs but I need to raise more ducks, for more eggs, so I figure it's time I learn to incubate my own likely fertile eggs. Thanks.
The builder we have in, has Ducks and Chickens , He Brought me in Some Eggs Both Duck and Chicken, i went on to youTube to see what is the best way to cook the Duck Eggs, then i said to myself i wonder how long they take to hatch, Came across this Video, now i have the 4 Duck eggs in a tissue Box, nice and warm, under a light, haha. here is hoping, , i want some pet Ducks,

A joyful video. Didn't realise this was possible from supermarket eggs

Do we have to spray water on the eggs to help them with humidity
Love the video my first lot are due tomrorow! Hoping all goes well, not entirely sure if they're all alive but bought 6 fertilised :)
Is humidity matter?
great video. so cute ❤❤
Where do they stay in the evenings?
Can they be one heating pads but without the massage
Nice video I’ve done quails and a goose from the supermarket, but not managed to get fertilised duck eggs yet 😢
I would think so, they are nice big birds.
where did you get your incubator from? ❤

So good to see that , brilliant
Glad you liked it thanks for watching and commenting.

Did you measure the humidity? We are setting ours up as I speak and struggling to maintain the correct humidity
I didn’t measure it, we just made sure the water was kept topped up.
they grow so fast
They certainly do, thanks for watching 🐣
😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁 soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo cute .

Did you cool down the eggs starting from day 10? And did you spray the eggs with warm water?
Quick question - would it be possible to keep them in your garden? If not, can you give them to a farm once they’ve up?
I number my eggs so i know which is which, and keep a daily diary of humidity and temp levels. If you do it from fridge, let them warm up to room temp before placing in the incubator. 😊
What brand/type of light are you using to candle the eggs?
It’s just the light on our phones.
So cute. Mine have been in the incubator for 30 days now. The eggs were rocking etc. is that normal ?
Great video, what is the name of the incubator you used please? 🐣
Do you know what breed of ducks they are? I currently have 5 ducks in the incubator purchased from the supermarket but a Braddock white isn’t a real breed of duck.
I’ve tried to research it, but couldn’t find anything online
I think they are Aylesbury ducks. Good luck with your eggs and thanks for watching and commenting.
@@GrowWithKit Ah great! Thank you & your welcome! Great video!

Can I breed and cook them in a 6 month cycle?
I guess so if you want to, they’ll be basically fully grown by then.
@@GrowWithKit thanks!
What humanity needed to hatch duck sir
Does this incubator work
Yes, We have had good success with it.
I just used this exact same one. And my first duckling just hatched
@@EenGamer. what is the name of the incubator?
Awesome. Can I ask where you got your incubator from please?
Thanks, it was from Amazon 🐣
Can it actually work ? I really want to try
It can, it won’t always work. Depends where the eggs are from. Many others have had success too.
Where can I find those eggs?
I found them in Morrison’s supermarket, although they don’t have them anymore due to the egg shortage here in the uk.
If they were in the fridge, will they still hatch?
I don’t see why not, in the wild they’ll be left until a whole clutch has been laid.

Penguin duck? Or... tux duck? Haha
Big white duck duck lol
I thought those numbers on the egg shell were pubic hairs at first sight!
Why do you post "giving it a go" videos? I thought I was clicking on a professional, not an experament? what value is learning from this?
Because it worked & it says DIY, it’s not our first time, we’ve hatched many eggs before.
Great video
Thanks 😊
