Just a hint: When you are removing those axle nuts, you can leave the wheel on, and lower the jack so the wheel is on the ground. Pop the little cap at the centre of the wheel and you can get a socket onto the nut. Make sure it is in park or in gear with the handbrake on, then crack the nut. Then you can jack the car and remove the wheel and continue on with the job. This is a good method if that nut has bound itself onto the thread.

Like your videos, but for a 2020 cx5 awd, Just need to know what fluid came out when i pulled driver side axle out. More came out when i started vehicle with axle out.
Thank you for showing the axel pop tool , that’s what I need . But I found it much easier to remove the 2 bolts on suspension strut and retaining clip on brake line and just swing the whole lot out with steering hard right.
Did you change this because of vibration on the highway? My Mazda 2 is at 120 km and I just replaced my right wheel bearing it’s like a pulsing vibration almost like a heartbeat.
Milwaukee M18 impact will get that axle in that off in about 2 seconds believe me it's worth every penny of it I've got one and save the hours and hours of time grief 😉👍
On my 2006 mazda3 2.3, I couldn't fit the axle tool inside so I had to tap it in just to fit. Thank goodness it popped right out. Went from changing the strut to replacing the axle to replacing the knuckle. Got hit by a semi truck
I hammered on my axle for an hour and it didn't move cause of rust. Got a Front Wheel Drive Hub Puller (about $35 to buy and Autozone lends them out) and pulled the hub off the shaft. Cleaned the rust out of the splines and the new one slid right in.
I have a 2013 Mazda. CX9 that on the passenger side. Looks like it has a Carrier bearing like. And it's gonna long shraft. It goes from the CV joint to the transmission on the passion your side. How do you propose I Remove this ? Where can I find some of those CV pop out tools?
Could a broken CV Axle on Mazda 5 be the cause of transmission grinding , will replacing fix the problem or do you think i need transmission and CV axle ?
The ball joint bolt was not that easy, had to cut it dremel through it and then finally hammer it out while heating the knuckle with wet rag around cv boot and ball joint rubber. Pain! 4 hours! Seized by 5yrs of salt. Initial hammering on bolt how you had it, stripped the thread and eventually bolt bent. Other side , bolt stripped out.

You could of also put a flat head screw driver between the caliper and the rotor to hold the wheel from spinning

No need to remove the steering knuckle or ball joint
You are right. Did it by taking those 2 strut bolts off, too. Much easier.

i dont have those symptoms. mine makes bang noise manual transmission. mostly in reverse lift clutch bang when engages.

To get lower ball joint out, i screw a small bolt between the 2 sides to put apart and it comes out easily.
I cant remove the flatten spot on the nut -.-
Lol used the fry bar to push it down lower control arm
