Thank you for this post! I am an Athletic trainer working for a physical therapy company, and I’m currently applying to PT school and the insurance model honestly bums me out. I think the ultimate fix for this ENTIRE issue is educating the public on how pain works, of movement as Both a pain trigger AND remedy, and the value of PT in understanding and improving patient self-efficacy. We are a consumer society. And our consumers have been lead astray in what the medical system should be to them.
