I used to work for Boeing at their giant plant in Everett Washington. They build some of the biggest aircraft in the world inside the largest building in world. They build 747, 757, 767, 777, 787 aircraft there. It's been awhile since I left, appreciate that more AI automation is being used. Building such large items require enormous hand labor. A rivet might cost $1.00 out of box. By time labor is added might be $10.00 or more. When you consider there are millions of rivets in a 747 for example, costs add up quickly. The final assembly process is fascinating to watch. There are organized tours of the factory and Museum of Flight also. Be prepared to be awe struck. You can't fully appreciate how big things are there until you see them in person. After tours, people leave with a much better understanding and flying on jets is never the same.
We have come this far in our evolution that we can program machines to do things even we can't do ourselves and yet some of us still believe that the world is flat
@@swagmcqueen How is flat earth related to the video? I’ll spell it out for you tho: It’s related because Flat Earthers believe in something absurd and completely untrue…..and so do religious people. I put them in the same classification.
Absolutely no structure to these videos. What has ship building got to do with building of a $400 million plane? Just random facts and clips put together.
It's kind of awkward listening to this & how proud Boeing is about automating all these manufacturing steps, thus dis-employing so many otherwise critical-thinking-capable human beings. Meanwhile the news keeps reporting how dangerous their planes have become. One would be tempted to think either they should emphasize humanizing their manufacturing process or automating their management process.
From Vietnam with love 👍😍😍

@@tigerb2 Sounds like we've got ourselves an Airbus fanboy posing as a "former Boeing" employee.

Awesome engineering!
Does it seem that every video that starts out talking about planes, ends up talking about ships, helicopters or tugboats?
Thought i was gonna watch something about planes😂
I like these robots because they improve the quality of the planes.
And they speed up their construction.
Why don't you use solar panels on factories?
A lot of modern factories do.
I like stuff.
I thought this was about planes... not cruise ships.
Cool. The NOAA research vessel Rueben Lasker was shown christened. :)
I thought that was Boaty McBoatface also known as Sir Richard Attenborough?
Rocket Scientists 🚀 👩🚀 ♐️👍
Can you guys focus on one topic, please don't bring in ship launches or another machine other than what is in the name of the video

Robots can build an airplane but yet we they can’t flight ✈️ a plane . Automatic pilot is a software

And I bet you didn't even see that it was a video about ships🤣😂🤣
Indonesia kalau beli pesawat udah bangkai 10tahun.

humans are less and lesser in factories every year
