Amazing instructional video! I just bought mine Friday (5/19/23). It’s a 2021 2LT, C8 Stingray w/ the Z51 Performance Package. I learned quite a bit, as listed below: - Seats (side cushion adjustments) - Double paddle functions - Rear lift (extended lift) - front pockets - how to properly open the roof
You can pull both paddles at a stop light to put the transmission in neutral, save the clutches and stop the car from creeping forward when you let off the brake. Release both paddles with your foot on the brake and the DCT will shift into D1 and push the gas and drive away!
Thanks to this video I learned several ways to open my frunk, I didn't know I had a 12-volt plug either and I did not realize that the glove box would not open if my battery went dead!👍🏽👍🏽
I am so glad to hear that. Do me a solid and thunk the sales rep on the head for me next time you are at the dealer lol. Glad to hear you got something new out of this and thanks for taking the time to watch and comment.
I'm giving this guy two 👍 👍 simply for the fact that there's snow on the ground, streets are wet, and he's out there in the weather rather than 'hiding' his 'Vette in the garage for months on end. And one more 👍 here for the video itself. Great job!

@@JumpSquadAuto That sucks. I would think that's an expensive windshield. I just bought a 9K miles used 2021 CHT. Your tips really helps me get to know this car, thanks!
@@northerniltree Glad the video was helpful. I made a video for the replacement cost and of the dealer I went to trying to con me on it. I wanna say it was close to 2k if memory services me correctly.
So I have thought about both of those too. I honestly don't think either will make a big noticeable power difference. You do have to open the rear trunk area up pretty good to install both which is a pain. Just my personal thoughts here, the C8 is still very new and a few have had valve spring issues. I am not ready to risk any chance of the dealer saying my warranty is voided with any engine side mods just yet incase something unfortunate happens. I will do an exhaust at some point but I am skipping the throttle body. I might do a full intake some day but with no tuning available, the cars not gonna maximize any added air. Just my 2 cents. Hope that helps.
@@JosephKowal-yq3vm I never had any issues the few times I used a touchless car wash. I always ceramic coat the engine bay. They make pucks for blocking water when you hand wash it. I dont suggest anything other then a touchless car wash for the C8 but hand wash is the preference
Hey. Thanks for watching. Good catch. It is low on the door panel so I misspoke on that one. 8k views and no one caught it. I almost would have gotten away with it haha.
Hey!. Glad the video was helpful. I did not park it in a garage last winter but will rent one this year. Cold isn't great for the Z51 tires but otherwise the car handles being parked outside fine. Check out one of my cold start videos from last winter. It got pretty cold haha. Thanks for watching!
Hi. Excellent video! Learned some new things, thanks! In one of your videos you asked about driving in the cold weather with the Z51 summer tires, and don't know if you got an answer. Here is what I read from Michelin:
Really happy to hear there were some new things in this video. I think it cut the bottom of your message. I was told 40 degrees was the cut off. for the summer tires. I have been kind of cheating on that one haha
@@JumpSquadAuto Yeah, it did cut it off. Strange. Here is what Michelin said: -Should your car come equipped with the Michelin “Summer only” tires, they have an effective operating range down to 40 degrees fareneheit. From 40 to 20 degrees, they may still be used, but the driver will experience some loss of grip. -If the temperature falls below 20 degrees, DO NOT move the vehicle until the temperature increases. When subjected to that kind of cold temperature, the tire becomes relatively brittle and can experience microscopic fracturing. Are you in New England? And yes, a few things I hadn't found yet, thanks!
@@Dr.Bigglesworth I am in New England. I haven't driven it below 20 thankfully but have moved it around or driven around town on sunny days in the 30s cause its so hard to resist the urge of driving it. Great info. Thanks for sharing.
No, the tires can not work below 37 degrees. You can not drive and have to wait for the weather to warm up. Then wait 24 hours for the tires to warm up. They are a warm weather tire. Do not even think of having the Summer tires in winter weather. Go to the Tire Rack under specification for that tire. It gives you the specific temp and operating temp of the tire. I am off a little on my numbers but close.
Love the car but I don't get why they didn't go one step further and add active cruise control to the driver assistance package. I know it's a sports car you're meant to drive but so many 100k sports cars offer it these days. I'd like to take some long distance trips to Florida and back it's a great feature to make the drive more enjoyable.
It is under the plastic panel in the frunk. Super easy to get too and needs no tools. I have a video where I install the strut covers where I open the panel up.
I had the Jake Contoured Liner Package with all weather floor mats as part of my C8 build. Really glad I got that option! I’m not a big guy 5’ 7” 170 lbs and I think the GT2 Seats are pretty tight. Will driving in manual vs drive negate the function of the cylinder deactivation management system?
The cylinder deactivation is deactivated in track mode only from what I know. I run z-mode in track engine and sport everything else. I will have to test out if manual also disables it. I almost always am in z-mode.
@@JumpSquadAuto Sounds good to me. I need to get some gas in the car and set things up. No seat time. I like the idea of running it like you do! Z Mode and Sport. But, how’s the MPG? I guess I have the break in period to get through and make sure everything gets in harmony from the get go! Any worries about launch control and if it’s hard on the transmission and such. I think when I go in for the transmission fluid and filter change I will opt for the additional 2 quarts of fluid. Chevy Dude I believe said GM wouldn’t spend the extra money towards the quarts because it would cost them millions to do it and not everyone will be tracking their car. I look at it as a benefit towards transmission longevity. Now overfilling your oil capacity, that’s bad News there Buddy! Oh, and I know you can severely damage your suspension running in Track Mode over rough and damaged road surfaces. Save Track Mode for the Track!
@@kerry_glock Yeah track mode is harsh for the street so thankfully in zmode, the engine can run track and mag ride can run touring or sport. I get bad mpg regardless of mode cause I am a little gas pedal heavy
@@kerry_glock I drove around for a bit on the hwy where in tour mode and in auto, it would go from v8 to v4....drove the same route in manual and it did not go into v4 mode. Looks like manual disables cylinder deactivation. Good to know. Thanks!
Looks like the car business has passed me by. I've had 7 Corvettes and was looking to get a C8 but I am not paying over sticker or $100,000 for a 2020. It doesn't look like things will change either. I can order one for sticker but I can't handle waiting 12-18 months. So I'll just keep my C7 Z51. Mustang????
@@AM-qi4ro 14 months. I ordered late July of 2019 and took delivery in November of 2020. It was a tough and long wait but the car is amazing and GM does a good job keeping things moving and customers updated. @@northerniltree Glad the video was helpful. I made a video for the replacement cost and of the dealer I went to trying to con me on it. I wanna say it was close to 2k if memory services me correctly.
@@JumpSquadAuto Expensive pebble.
Do you think it's safe to install a ported throttle body and high performance air filter? Safe for all the computer stuff?
When you bring the car to a car wash the water gets in the back grills is that good for the motor
@@JosephKowal-yq3vm I never had any issues the few times I used a touchless car wash. I always ceramic coat the engine bay. They make pucks for blocking water when you hand wash it. I dont suggest anything other then a touchless car wash for the C8 but hand wash is the preference
A+. Thank you!
Very helpful
Nice Vette brother, buttons are on the driver door panel not feet area...
Hey. Thanks for watching. Good catch. It is low on the door panel so I misspoke on that one. 8k views and no one caught it. I almost would have gotten away with it haha.
Great vid. I have a C8 and didn't realize a couple features. What state do you live in?
Hey. Glad there was something new in the video you could takeaway. I live along the MA/RI line. Thanks for watching!
Because I've seen so many c8 vids for the last 2 years I seen every feature except the service mode and night mode. Good vid though.
I totally know where you are coming from. I waited 14 months for mine so watched so many videos too. Thanks for watching.
Good vid bud, sub’d
Yay! Thanks for the support and positive feedback. Appreciate it!
My dream car
Where is the dim button for the cluster to get it in night mode?
At night when the headlights are on, turn the brightness turn dial down all the way. Its actually really cool on long night trips.
Great insight and
Very helpful video. Did you keep your C8 in the garage during the winter when parked ? Wonder how a c8 will do parked outside in PA winters
Strange. Here is what Michelin said:
-Should your car come equipped with the Michelin “Summer only” tires, they have an effective operating range down to 40 degrees fareneheit.
@@kimberlywentworth9160 Thankfully corvette season is here and bye bye cold haha. Thanks for watching!
I see your speed limit on the gauge cluster doesn't work just like mine, wish you could remove it from the cluster entirely...
pls be winter, can we like switch?
Love the car but I don't get why they didn't go one step further and add active cruise control to the driver assistance package. I know it's a sports car you're meant to drive but so many 100k sports cars offer it these days. I'd like to take some long distance trips to Florida and back it's a great feature to make the drive more enjoyable.
Your so lucky I wish I had it 😮😢🎉❤
How do you get to the battery
It is under the plastic panel in the frunk. Super easy to get too and needs no tools. I have a video where I install the strut covers where I open the panel up.

Didn’t know about the dim/night mode
Awesome. Glad there was something new in the video. Thanks for watching!
Thanks!
Just started using Z mode. Using it around town, haven't seen V4 show up yet. In other modes, V4 comes on often.
Basically.Basically,Basically.Basically,Basically.Basically,Basically.Basically,Basically.Basically, Oh ya did I say Basically?
Haha. My bad. I will try to be mindful about that one next time. Thanks for watching.
love it!

Mustang????
You're driving summer only tires in 22 degree weather??
Thai, I learned a few things 😎
That's great. Happy to hear you had some new takeaways from the video. Thanks for watching!
What mobile home park is this?
Mobile home park? Where haha. At the end, it was actually some really expensive beach front cottages.
@@JumpSquadAuto How long did it take from deposit to driving away?
@@AM-qi4ro 14 months. I ordered late July of 2019 and took delivery in November of 2020. It was a tough and long wait but the car is amazing and GM does a good job keeping things moving and customers updated. My TRX order was a disaster and Ram really showed how much better GM handles Corvette ordering.
Like the content keep it up. Also I had to sell my C8 unfortunately and have Lamborghini door hinge kit if interested. Or if u know where I could sell it , it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Sorry to hear you had to sell your C8. Hopefully you were able to make a profit with the market. I would probably shop the kit on corvette forums or put it up on ebay. I've thought about doing the lambo doors myself but the kit is pricey and I ultimately decided against taking the fender and front end apart. Thanks for watching.

I am willing to take a lose selling for 2k

Its a DCT so dual clutch auto. Manual paddle shifters
Omg no information starts until 2:00

Is there a way u can ship me a c8 key pls
