A great watch, thanks. As far as the remote operated mirrors - turns out that is only a 3LZ option. I went from a C8 stingray 3LT to a C8Z 2LZ and lost that option in the menu. (still has folding mirrors but only with the button on the door panel) - Two other tips that are cool - if you have an HTC, drop the rear window to delete any and all drone in full open exhaust setting. Lastly, when you park, you dont have shift to park, just turn off the Z and it does that button push for you instantly.
Very cool! I knew about 60% of these. BTW, on my 2020 you can open the trunk and frunk with buttons on the door panel. Not sure if the newer models have that though.
Hey Justin. Great video! Picked up my Eray yesterday. She always starts in Touring, even though I shut her off in sport. Any way to get her to start up every time in sport mode? Thanks again!
Normally selecting sport mode will allow it to start in sport mode the next time but you have to be above 500 miles for that to be the case are you still under break in?
Jason, regarding tip# 4. Unlike the coupe, the HTC does not have a handle to close the trunk. Instead, i have used the finger hook methodology you used on door closing but on the trunk. Insert hook into latch, pull down, then press on logo.
For my HTC i just hold that tan area underneath the trunk lid and give it a good pull down fast, it will then soft close by itself no need to push the trunk 😉
I did the colored strip behind the windshield etching but there's a gap behind the windshield and above the dash and haven't figured out how to get the color to actually be up against the back of the windshield so there doesn't appear to be a gap when you look at it from the outside. Since there is a foam strip dust shield between the dash and the windshield, it's hard to put in some type of spacer behind the colored strip to hold it up against the back of the windshield. I would suggest for anyone that hasn't used the mechanical key feature to unlock the car that they try it out in the comfort of their own garage or driveway before they have to do it in a parking lot at night with no lights. The key will go in in two different positions but one of the positions will not let you turn it enough to fully unlock as it hits the side of the body. Before using the ring underneath the dash to open the front, I would suggest wrapping something around your finger because it requires a significant amount of effort to open and it feels like it's going to cut your finger. 😟 Thanks for the video as I learn several things that I didn't previously know about. 👍
Great idea! I'll give it a try. When I was experimenting with different ideas, I always connected a piece of monofilament fishing line to the color strip to facilitate removal if it didn't go right. Glad I did.
@@HorsePowerObsessed Really! I have GT2 currently in my Stringray and wanted the new Z06 to look a bit differently inside (chose the exact same color scheme with level 1 carbon). He talked me out of it😊. You and I are about the same size (a little heavier than average). With your response, I’ll attempt to modify my order tomorrow. Thanks much for the response.
Also for a 2024 model year you can flick the frunk down as well by putting your finger in the hook and pull down and flick about a foot before it closes. The motor will sense it and close the lid without touching the paint. Now Justin you might not know that one since your car did not come with the cool frunk closer 😂
All of these great tips and all I see and can say is, damn I love those Comp seats! Great video though Justin, Seriously! For me the seat belt strap is the best tip you had, been there and went crazy listening to the rattle.
For closing the door, you don't have to hook your finger into the latch device, as you can simply put it to the left (not inside the latch) and swipe it closed. This eliminates the possibility of getting your finger caught in the latch as the door closes.
A genuine question i had, do you have the income to buy this car outright or do you have an outrageously high car payment? If it is the car payment, how do you personally feel/balance the fact that your earning power is reduced in your 401k for retirement? This is not to hate or anything, but something i am curious about. I plan on buying one, but a $1k-1400k car payment each month significantly reduces my annual contribution limit to my Roth for retirement. I will buy one outright next year. Some people make over $200k and that may be you, but I don’t want to assume and want some insight from an older fellow. Thankyou for the tips! 🍻
I do not have it paid off but my payment is high. It is offset by the amount of money I make from it here on TH-cam/sponsorships. My 401k comes in from some of the other stuff I do, such as my website, my business in Florida (Blackout Tinting), and other side hustles.
Sometimes you will hear rattles but it's the music, some artists but weird sound in their music, like the Week End, i don't know if they do it on purpose.
I have a extended warranty that has worked great so far, but worried they will void future work if I get that intake installed. Love it, but just have that worry. Thanks, love your videos! That Z06 is a monster!
Good info. Now I have more tools for when I get mine. Maybe I won’t look like such a rookie…… then again my childish I just got away with something smile might say differently.
I need tip 13..How can you keep the mechanic from turning off my PDR when I go for service? On my last visit, I went in for a spoiler replacement and the guy working on it took the car for a joy ride and turned off the PDR so he would not get caught telling what he did with the car only at 175 miles on it
Here’s another tip for 2024 models. With the soft close feature on the frunk, you can close it without having to put your fingerprints all over it. How? The same way you demonstrated how to close the gas cap. Just slam it…..or actually use more force than you normally would ….if that makes sense.
Good advice for anyone graduating middle school. No rip on the poster, but if you're spending this kind of money on a Vette and need this advice, please consider a financial advisor.
Too bad there isn’t a tip for getting into the engine compartment if the solenoid goes bad on 23 and newer as GM did away with a key cylinder access behind the license plate for 23 and newer.

Justin thanks for the tips and tricks on the C8 Corvettes!! You're vlogs are fantastic!! Keep up the fantastic work!!👍🏽

Great tips for C8 owners and by the way that black beast is looking beautiful.
Thank you!

Thanks Justin, my 23 ZO6 is my 5th Vette so no stranger to them. But you taught me a few tricks here. Thanks Man.

Yes sir, that's available on all of them as well.
A variation on the hook method is to hook up under the leading edge of the small door mounted air intake scoop.
That works as well! I developed this with the c7 so that’s why I do it this way lol

@@HorsePowerObsessed yes I am. Only at 300 miles. So you think that’s the issue?
Is there anything you don’t know about corvette? 😂 you’re the best!❤️
@adamnarbeaux5898 lol thanks man. Yeah under 500 that stuff is limited.
Did not know how to get in service mode! Thanks man! Enjoyed the vid!
Glad I could help! Thanks, Brandon!
HPO, Thanks. Now if it could only wash itself??? (was the seatbelt restraint the clicking/tapping noise you were hearing?)
Washing itself would be awesome! That was NOT the noise I was hearing, but at one point it was that's how I knew it was an issue.

Love the "finger hook" trick!!!
I literally use it all the time!
I'm surprised you didn't mention the tire fill trick, where you can use the lights and horn to ensure accurately filled tire psi.
Good to know! I use a digital tire inflator though so I can always see how much is going in.
Great tips Justin! #8 was new for me in holding the start button for 10 seconds. Good to know🤙🏻
I appreciate it man!!

Hey Justin, I have a question: How can you make car horn sound when locking doors on Z06 3LZ?
Under settings, vehicle settings, lock/unlock, you should see it in there.
Thanks, Justin. Hope you're having a great 4th weekend.
I certainly am! I hope you are as well my friend!
How do you like the comp seats??? I just ordered with GT2 seats because the dealer said most people regret getting the comp seats
That can’t be true. I love the comp seats! Had them in my 2020 and now in the z06!

Tip #7 is way over kill… close it on the weather stripping on the bottom of the window. 18k miles in my stingray no issue.
That seems like too much effort compared to the finger hook!
