9/10 these sensors are just fine. And sometimes can be easily tripped by running regular through your system instead of premium. I just clear the code keep it running.

Excellent video other then showing how you went about getting the fuel rail out.. The video stopped then picked up after doing so. Not sure what u did or how much time you spent to get it out...but I ended up have to loosen up the aluminum intake that connects to rear of supercharged. Did not have to remove completely but just enough for some wiggle room seeing how tight the diaphragm is attached to the rail just below aluminum intake tub.. Again awesome video for I watched over it prior to do g the job! Best of luck to all who venture this route opposed to shelling out money to the stealership!

I like your way of thinking on cleaning the parts and using a gasket compound to help seal it up. good job. I sent you an email. thanks for the video.

Hi, Great video. What is the Torque for the knock sensor bolt?

Great video! After getting everything put back together. The supercharger is making a whinning at idle. When you give it some throttle the whinning noice go away. All the vaccum hoses are connected properly. I don't believe any foreign objects found it's way in there. Notice it more when the engine warms up. Any ideas?

The only concern with relocating the knock sensor would be its reliability. The sensor will still function properly, but will be more tolerant to knock before giving an error code. It won't mess up or damage the turbo in any way, but if the engine experiences knock the low tolerant sensor will blow the supercharger before the engine which is why you need a reliable sensor, so I wouldn't recommend relocating the knock sensor on a supercharged Xterra.

Relocated seems to been done often from what I have seen on the internet.. Although it semi as though people only perform such on the naturally aspirated engines, not the supercharged ones. I would recommend to not relocate the knock sensor on models that are supercharged!! Asking for potential problems and as stated about wiping out the supercharger.. All in all this is a tedious job and consumes a decent amount of time. Be sure to seat everything properly because the slightest manifold leak either the lower or middle and the job will pretty much need to be done all over again in its entirety. Also be sure the injector seals are good .. honestly replacing them while your there is a good idea. To each his own.. Best of luck to all who venture down this road opposed to putting money into the stealerships pocket!

01 Frontier SC Not sure exactly if they would break so easily but if you can return it and get another just to be safe it would be better

i guess its possible there is a different gasket for the frontier. im coming up with 14033-5s700

01 Frontier SC I doubt they are different. Nissan does call it the plenum gasket. I had to actually go to the Nissan dealership and take the old one with the vin # so they could give me the correct one, dont remember how much it was tho.
