Jujutsu Kaisen’s world is filled with Sorcerers and Curses, but something that often gets lost inbetween are the many Cursed Objects in the series! One example are Sukuna’s fingers, which are all part of his body that is ALSO considered a Cursed Object. Being a cursed object makes something extremely difficult to destroy and it typically has to be exorcized like you would another curse to remove the curse energy from it, but one object that was broken BEFORE it was introduced into the story is the Inverted Spear of Heaven, which is a legendary artifact that was once stuck into Mt Takachiho, but was eventually split by the power of a volcanic eruption that caused part of it be lost to time despite reports that it was recovered and kept hidden. The remaining part that we see Toji use against Gojo with its power to completely erase any cursed technique on anything it tries to hit, was recovered by Sakamoto Ryouma in 1866, and had to be retrieved by a sorcerer capable of controlling and maybe even creating Dragons, to survive the heat that the blade was under at the time. Lastly we have Maki’s Glasses which were created by a sorcerer who works with Jujutsu Tech specifically for her, and of course these allow her to see curses since she normally can’t due to her heavenly restriction. Probably not exactly as common as we think epically fist and special grade ones also they aren't used as much since everyone had their own curse technique. The only people we see use them and Maki and toji.

Only Sukuna's fingers are considered "cursed objects" in this video.
The others would be "cursed tools". Sounds similar, I know, but the series makes a very clear distinction
A cursed object is any inanimate object that contains cursed energy in it, so the term cursed object accounts for all of them- cursed tools, cursed corpses, cursed wombs, cursed fingers... etc.
All cursed tools are cursed objects but not all cursed objects are cursed tools. Need a venn diagram?
Tools are just more specific category of objects, just like how plants and animals branch off from creatures

Since the inverted spear of heaven was destroyed by Gojo, it'd be interesting to see the missing part come into play against Sukuna. Gojo said Toji failed to kill him because he didn't use that weapon when stabbing his head so it implies that damage done by the inverted spear of heaven can't be healed with reverse curse technique. Before the fight with Sukuna, Gojo said there were some things he needed to get done before facing him so collecting the missing piece and prepping its use for the others to use it would be interesting
Makes you realize Toji was a whole different monster if Maki needs glasses due to the same restriction..they both couldn’t see cursed spirits.
no toji can see cursed spirits the only reason maki couldn't is because her and here sister share cursed energy making it not a complete heavenly restriction, with a complete heavenly restriction she can see cursed spirits.

@@Voxcast07 Toji technically did kill Gojo, he just didn't expect him to use RCT to heal wounds on that level.
Another thing to note is that around time Toji wasn't doing any assassinations and was heavily rusty which also affected his senses so it makes sense as to why he didn't or more like failed to sense life in him.
As for Gojo destroying Inverted Spear Of Heaven makes sense, now it is unclear whether the Spear is destroyed or simply sealed because Tengen was unsure for what happened to it and my guess is he sealed or destroyed after Geto left because that event changed him and he decided to change the Jujutsu Society and he is smart enough to realize that the higher-ups would try to kill him or get rid of him for changing the traditional way so he must have sealed or destroyed it around that time.
You forget the "lethal" stab Toji managed to hit Gojo in the head with was done with a regular knife instead of a cursed tool which is why Gojo managed to heal himself using RCT. If he had hit his head with a cursed weapon he'd be dead. @@Voxcast07

Sakamoto Ryouma is partnered with Oryou which manifested as sort of both of his wife Narasaki Ryo and The serpent of Mount Takachiho.
As the serpent she was sealed by a spear because she was too arrogant for aiming to become a dragon and ascend to the heaven.
The spear name is "Ama no Sakahoko" or "Heavenly Reverse Spear". (You know what it is don't you? Yep, it's that spear.)
Sakamoto Ryouma later found her sealed in the mountain and took out the spear. He didn't care what would she do, he just felt pity of her getting pinned there for a long time.
And so the serpent is released and instead she chose to stay with Ryouma till his death... from which she drown herself to dead.
She found the person that can make her abandon her plan to ascend to heaven.

I find it really cool how Ryouma got defeated by a sorcerer that can create a dragon, because in myths, a dragon can only be defeated by an another dragon or a tiger, and Ryouma is a person who is known for his revolutionary and as a result of leading the kaientai, he got the alias “the dragon of Wadatsumi”, what is even cooler is his entire identity is a dragon, even his name, 龍馬 consists of the kanji for dragon and horse, the inverted spear’s real name is Ame no sakahoko and Ryouma in many anime is known for using it, one of those anime/game is fate grand/order

Maki needs glasses because she doesn’t have heavenly restriction. Just very low CE. Toji has heavenly restriction and can actually see curses. Later in the manga when Maki does get full restriction like Toji, she says she can see curses without glasses.
