This is perfect. A person I used to know was so vanilla and every time I was going to do something "not normal" he'd always have something to say. This picked me right up
I can talk about how brilliant and relevant and relatable this poem is for hours but all I’m gonna ask is WHERE IS THIS GORGEOUS DIVINE NECKLACE FROM?????
Damn. No matter how you feel about this one, whether it makes you feel vindicated or uncomfortable, this was great to listen to. I’m really enjoying Rachel Wiley & this entire channel.
I LOVE HER! I just discovered her work and I must say it's painful to watch this just after watching the '10 honest thoughts on being loved by a skinny boy' poem. It may not even be related but it's got that thorny thing to it
I love this so much, I need to watch it again every now and then. Today I saw something that reminded me of this poem but I didn't remember the title to search for it, so I tried "button poetry tucked in". It worked :)
I heard it as wishing him a daughter resembling her, which would cause him to constantly face the regret of not being with her and instead choosing the mundane life. Awesome poem!

I still enjoy this as much as I did years ago, but nowadays I would give so much to have a life of Wednesday mornings filled with beige and oatmeal and polo shirts. I still find the poem beautiful, but it hits different now when color in my life is less often a party and more often a warning sign. No shade to people who enjoy excitement, but for me personally I would actually consider it an accomplishment to be able to settle right now.
I understand the “polo shirts tucked in” line because that’s my school uniform. Just to paint a full picture for you, I live in Florida,my school is set up like a college campus so I have to walk out of one building to get to another class. Some of them are all the way on the other side of the campus! I have to wear polo shirt tucked in...IN THE WORST CONDITIONS POSSIBLE!
A foreign non 1st world person would hear this and say, "sounds good to me, now nice of her to be wishing so thoroughly into security and ample supplies."
I don't really comment on things, but I first saw this poem when I was in 6th or 7th grade and fell in love. I feel this deep in my soul and it made me feel seen for the first time. I relate to it now that I'm in 10th grade more than ever. Love you, f!ck my toxic ex
This is my new passive aggressive prayer lol
Alli Black passive... Gurl. Make this active.
hahahaha
😂😂 people screamed in horror when she said "one ply toilet paper " bit I loved loved loved
I enjoyed the entire poem so much, but I cannot be the only one who just fell in love with the way she said "like mine" at the end.
It was kind of revenge hot and very empowering
This is a very old comment but yeah the way that she ended it off like that really sealed the deal as to how much I loved the poem.
i love how everyone was so hurt when she said "i wish him one ply toilet paper"
CynicalValleys duh. That's literally terrible 😂
Came to say this specifically!(
As.
Are you saying they were....butt hurt?
Polo shirts.
Tucked in.
This is perfect. A person I used to know was so vanilla and every time I was going to do something "not normal" he'd always have something to say. This picked me right up
They deserve one ply toilet paper and a week of Wednesdays 😤
Skinless boiled chicken and unflavored oatmeal? Woman, you are just mean. XD
Umi Ebon this is what white people eat daily
Amina Alliyah I would be offended, but I’m only half white plus I’ve never been fed that in my life and I know it’s not true.
My spirit animal!
You could feel the audience cringe at
"one ply toilet paper"
"Endless conversation that never quite breaks the precipice of small talk"
One of the Best Curses Ever.
hahaha
She never disappoints.
tbh
"I wish him indiana"
I won't even wish that on my worst enemy 😂😂 I live in Indiana and it is the worst.
Danielle Jewel I live in Indiana too ! close to Yorktown
I live in a small town called walkerton
Danielle Radcliff
DUDE SAME INDIANA IS JUST A LAND OF CORN
Same same! Southern Indiana is the worst tho.
same
I was literally just thinking of this poem earlier today! She killed it.
I was literally just thinking "I bet Ash got to see this in person" lol
+Rose G Heck yeah I did! I was 2nd row for the show case.
with polo shirts tucked in.....that was SO GOOD
My favorite line: "polo shirts, tucked in"
This is borderline genius. I really enjoyed it.
No, it's borderline personality disorder.
Wednesdays in beige. Forever. This feels so good, I've just listened to it three times back to back. Thank you for the well crafted word art.
thank you for continuing to support us and our artists!
i wish she'd bring out an audiobook of her work. i love her voice!
This is my favorite poem in the entire world
Ugh this poem was just what I needed to hear
she has stolen my heart
This poem puts everything I couldn’t verbalise into words🙌
that’s what it’s all about!!!
She's already one of my favorite poets.
this whole poem is a litany against worrying that you're too much for someone and i love it for that
1:23 "One-ply toilet paper" *collective gasps from audience*
This gives me strength on days I need it
Her delivery just perfects this
I love how the 1 ply toilet paper elicited the strongest response of audible shock 😂😂
Oh hell, I love Rachel Wiley so damn much. This poem kicked ass.
I can talk about how brilliant and relevant and relatable this poem is for hours but all I’m gonna ask is WHERE IS THIS GORGEOUS DIVINE NECKLACE FROM?????
Her voice is so soothing
1 ply toilet paper! 😂😂 now that's mean! Great poem!
Damn. No matter how you feel about this one, whether it makes you feel vindicated or uncomfortable, this was great to listen to. I’m really enjoying Rachel Wiley & this entire channel.
Basically, "I hope you have a boring life!" My weave got snatched with this poem.
i love her voice
I have always loved this poem. It brought me peace after being broken up with after 8 years. I wish this same for him 🤣 lmao
she is the realest poet i've seen ever omg
As someone who’s from Indiana I appreciate all of this
MUMFORD & SONS ARE GREAT. The rest of this poem is absolutely perfect.
I LOVE HER! I just discovered her work and I must say it's painful to watch this just after watching the '10 honest thoughts on being loved by a skinny boy' poem. It may not even be related but it's got that thorny thing to it
I watch this from time to time whenever I need a mood boost😊
She just makes me feel better. Definitely appreciate the perspective
This is my second favorite poem from Rachel Wiley. If I ever met her in person, I'd babble like an idiot, and possibly faint.
Her voice is powerful
I love this so much, I need to watch it again every now and then. Today I saw something that reminded me of this poem but I didn't remember the title to search for it, so I tried "button poetry tucked in". It worked :)
I got sooooo many chills listening to this!!! Thank you for you
Damn it, I like Mumford and Sons
An_ Idiot me too ... and I like turkey bacon and I work at great clips.
I adore this. Can I quote the whole thing right back, this is flawless!
I just broke up with a vanilla plain Jane sexist dude so I felt this so heavy, he was to immature to handle my intense and wild outspoken personality
I wonder if this was also a pregnancy announcement... From the last line she gave. Food for thought.
+Corey Pettit Interesting perspective. I interpreted it that she wished him to have a daughter who was "too intense" like her.
I heard it as wishing him a daughter resembling her, which would cause him to constantly face the regret of not being with her and instead choosing the mundane life. Awesome poem!

See I was thinking of it as a daughter she had with him that he didn't want
Babydoll, what did he do to you? Crustless sandwiches so he never knows the bread felt the warmth of the oven. Just damn
took me TOO LONG to discover this gold wow Rachel Wiley I love you
Yes! This is my new hero!
I love Rachel Wiley!

“I wish him indiana” I’m from indiana and I honestly can agree that this is the worst thing you can wish upon someone
Rachel SLAAAYYEEDD! More, please!
Great Clips hair cuts...... THOSE ARE THE WORST THEY ALWAYS CUT TOO MUCH OFF
Internet Obsessed THEY CUT MY SISTERS HAIR SO UNEVEN. It was hilarious.

Thank you for your honesty
This is my top favorite poem ❤ LOVE IT

I first heard this poem on the slam find app i downloaded on my phone, the Indiana comment had me laughing to much. great POEM!!!
This was so clever! Idk what she has against polo shirts, but I guess in that context they're not really too wanted...
I've watched this way more times than must be healthy XD
