    Bought one of these, so happy with it, handles well, feels like a sports car, the interior is well finished and sound system sounds amazing. Well done Honda, it's great to be back on team Honda after a few years absence !

    This is the first Honda i'd buy for a long time! Finally an up to date driveline and good looks inside and out. Mazda has been smashing Honda for the last decade.

    1:50 seems like that car needs the blind spot camera....pulls out in front of the bike.

    Wish we had got the RS in the states. Or a version like that. We got the SI , or like i have a 19 coupe ext . Just wish the EX-T had some of the sporty stuff. We never get the cool thing as well, things like auto folding side mirrors for example.

    Are you absolutely sure Australian Civic come fitted with Acoustic Windscreen? It's standard in US but doesn't seem so in Thailand and Malaysia. In fact Honda Malaysia has come firmed it's not fitting Acoustic Windscreen on Civic.

    Is the Australian version have the Remote Engine Start?

    • @MsLouisez
      @MsLouisez 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      yes. just not on the base model. test drove one today.

    • @mjyumping
      @mjyumping 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      You did? Cool! I wish I could also drive one. I've seen on the Honda Au website the remote only has 3 buttons though instead of 4. Is the remote that you've seen the one that reads "hold"?

    • @ryanarnold7515
      @ryanarnold7515 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      It shows him starting it with push start in the video

    • @mjyumping

      Ryan Arnold I am talking about the remote button start, not the button inside the car

    Why no manual? 😤

  • @AznS0ulja
    @AznS0ulja 8 ปีที่แล้ว

    does it come in manual?

    • @Whittaz85
      @Whittaz85 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nope automatic with paddle shift option only. Not enough people bought manuals in the last model for Honda to justify it. The new Type R will have a manual option when it eventually releases though.

  • @djizzah

    Very expensive for parts and servicing and its almost $10,000 dearer than standard corolla and $5000 dearer than corolla hybrid. Its a fail.

    • @frankly2677
      @frankly2677 8 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      Apples and oranges, compare a base civic to a base corolla

    • @djizzah
      @djizzah 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      I did and found out base corolla drive-away is $20,990, the base honda is $28,000. Almost half as much again. The purchase price and ongoing costs of this car leave it left behind. Should be about $21-22,000 and even then resale is through the floor and nowhere near approaching the reliability of a Toyota. Disappointing the reviewer doesn't mention any of this. Also servicing quoted costs are TWICE a Toyota.

    • @djizzah
      @djizzah 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +robm462900 bet they didnt mention servicing costs and part prices are uber expensive. ur right base civic with steel wheel not alloys 25990.base corolla manual 20, 990..my point is reviewer should mention its a much more expensive car to buy and maintain than a corolla without the resale..diff err ent to drive but in same class

    • @thatsshowbiz6438
      @thatsshowbiz6438 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      I totally agree with Quick Sipper apples and oranges when comparing the driving & owning experience and 5k difference max before haggling. The new civic is a dream to drive. I've had an '07 Civic for 9 years absolute dream car to own with nil problems in 280,000kms and servicing costs are very comparable to corolla where I go. Fitted after market front rotors for $150 pair at 220,000 kms. Have you ever even owned a Honda?

    • @djizzah
      @djizzah 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Robert Mitchell
      Just Toyotas myself obviously problem free, but plenty of friends with Hondas complain about servicing and resale. One problem with my Toyotas, they are kind of boring in a way though.

    the civic keeps getting uglier. Its sad when auto makers turn everything into spaceships.

    • @Whittaz85
      @Whittaz85 8 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Civic's have a generally more futuristic feel. My 2006 model certainly does and I love it. It differentiates them from the competition.
