Although people from other countries do not find this cool (as some everybody speaks more than one) I find people who can speak more than one amazing. I am from America, so most people are monolingual. I have endless respect for people who were able to go through the struggle of going through learning another language. That is a lot of effort
@Sophie Lots of people don't speak English, or at least not at a conversational level. Of course, Americans like to live in their little bubble, so they won't ever meet them.

Thanks Venus for this very useful video! :D I have been studying German for 5 years and Japanese for 3 years, and I am planning to learn Korean, Italian and Chinese one day! (I already speak English and French fluently).

These comments like "I'm 13 I speak 13 languages" piss me off lol. We all know you don't and are just trying to get attention. You can't say you speak a language if you only know like 10 words.
I speak 3 language, but as someone who is Dyslexic, it's quite difficult, but eventualy, i'll be able to speak Japanese, atleast my step family will teach me
liesalife the official spoken languages of switzerland are swiss german, french, italian and romanesque. They're all split in to different parts of switzerland so it's not necessary to learn them all.
+SnowTheGoon Small correction, coming from a Swiss person : Swiss German is not actually an official language. German is, but Swiss German is merely a spoken dialect. It cannot be written officially, and is not a national language. And the last one is called Romansh, Rumantsch, or Romanche, not Romanesque ;) . Romanesque is a style of architecture.
I’m still trying to perfect my second language of Portuguese, and I’m also trying to start learning Japanese! It’s amazing how you can speak so many languages and videos like these really motivate me for some reason 💕
I'm the same, I have had an interest in Japan and Japanese, so when I was 11 I began to study the language. I've slowed down a little bit because when you get to a certain level, it's a bit hard to study, but I'm finding things to learn again and I look forward to actually gaining more fluency, and just this year I've begun studying Korean so I can see the similarities through the languages. It's very interesting!
I speak finnish, swedish and english and some japanese (currently studying it ! ) and I'm interested in learning thai, mandarin, korean and maybe spanish... I can't get enough of languages, learning them is fun and rewarding 😁
Here in Canada, or at least in the province I live in, it's mandatory to take French classes from like kindergarten to grade 9. I took them until grade 10 and I STILL can barely speak fluently 😂 It might be because I did not take the immersion classes but it still seems kind of ridiculous looking back now at all that time spent only to get to a basic level. I think I learned the most in grades 9&10 as I was placed in a mixed class of the immersion students and core academic students. There was a much higher ratio of immersion students however, with most lessons and activities catering more to their level of learning. The only difference was the projects, as us core student's projects were not as difficult. It's amazing you know all these languages though!! You've motivated me to try and learn a new one!
i take ojibwe and i can barely speak it myself despite learning since the first grade. i only really started learning till this year because our teacher actually teaches it good. but usually it seems like learning a language in school is absolute shit
I was born in Dubai so it was mandatory for us to learn Arabic so I had been learning Arabic since kindergarten too but I left to go to another country during 6th grade but I only remember like 1/4 of the alphabet and like numbers up to 10 idk why. I’m bilingual tho, I can speak Hindi and English but for some reason I cannot write in Hindi (my grandma taught me how to speak because she doesn’t know how to speak in English)
I actually forgot about wanting to learn Russian, damn it... this comment has inspired me to learn Russian all of a sudden! Now I want to learn Japanese, Korean, German, Spanish _and_ Russian. 😂
I jut found venuses channel a couple days ago and I can't get enough! I keep binge watching her videos and im so happy and actually surprised that she uploaded today!!! Omg im so freaked out and happy I dont know what to do! I hope she keeps uploaded frequently! Anyways...how was your day!
I know that Swiss German is German, but like for those of you who aren't familiar with them, it's really difficult to understand Swiss German unless you speak it. Like standard German? Sure, easy. Dialects? Depends, but if someone is speaking at a reasonable pace, you can make it out. Swiss German? ah fricking heck, i'm out lol idk what anyone is saying
MintSodaPop The main problem is that in Switzerland the people who speak swiss german, actually speak in different dialects depending where you are. When you visit Bern for example then you will notice that they speak a little bit different than in Zurich. Some dialects are for somone who only knows standard german more difficult to understand than others.
Mucha gente hispanohablante no se da cuenta de lo difícil que puede ser hablar nuestro idioma para alguien extranjero. Te has esforzado mucho Venus, ¡saludos desde 🇪🇸! ❤️
My dream was always to move to Iceland and obviously speak Icelandic. I want to find a nice, cozy house with a big atelier there, so I can make art for living (I am studying art right now). ♥ I hope it will come true one day.
I can talk Norwegian (fluently), English (also fluently), spanish (just a little), Sweedish (almost fluent), danish (can talk a little but understand fully) and german (can communicate but not talk so mutch)
some one yeah I can understand a few Portuguese words too but not many lol it's so crazy how knowing one language can come in handy for many other languages too😀
I would love to be fluent in a lot of languages one day, I love languages so much because you learn so much about other countries and cultures! My native language is English but I have been studying French for almost 3 years, Spanish for almost 2 years and Korean for a little while, I self teach myself Korean but I study French and Spanish in school.
I wanna speak Japanese and Spanish the most then Chinese and Hindi but I have no idea how to study since I love duolingo but I need to write things to remember someone helpppp ☹️☹️☹️

Thank you so much for the suggestions, Venus! I never heard of this Hello Talk App before watching this video. I plan to use it to help me with my Spanish and perfect my Arabic. You're awesome!!
Ezer 애슬 No that's not true... I am an Indian... So I know Hindi, Gujrati, Memoni, Urdu, Kutchi, Sindhi and Arabic as I was just born in India and visit it... (I live in Dubai/U.A.E.) sooo... I can understand Arabic a lot but not fluent in that... I can speak though. (And currently learning Japanese, Chinese, French, and Korean...)
Same here, I’m 20 and I speak Norwegian, Polish, Russian, Danish, English, German fluently and currently trying to learn Spanish as my parents moved to Spain 4 months ago 😃
I grew up speaking japanese, german and swiss german I learned french and english in school and i am both fluent Now i am learning spanish wish me luck ❤️💪🏼
I totally admire people who can speak so many languages! I myself can only speak German and English fluently. I've had French lessons for 5 years and I'm pretty good at it but I'm not fluent. Also I have to decide if I want to continue with French or want to start taking Italian lessons soon. And I want to learn Korean too! ._. But this video really helped me a lot, thank you!
how do you even--- i cant read chinese or understand it i can only 'yi, er, san, suh.' and 'ni hao' and 'xie xie' but that's allll. i cant read the numbers but i can read ni hao and xiexie.
i can speak Dutch and English, I can read/understand German(i can speak it too but still learning), I have to learn French and German in school, I'm also learning Norwegian, Russian and Japanese for myself( I'm 14 and a half btw :D)
when i was in school, i learned turkish and mongolian outside of school, and i learned spanish and german in school. you can learn many languages at the same time if you study really heard😊
Learning languages is really awesome. I'm from Germany and I've been learning English for a while now, I really like the sound of the language. It's also very useful. I've also started learning Italian in my school. I'm half Italian so it's kinda cool. Approximately at the same time I started learning Japanese. I visited a short course. I didn't join at the beginner course cause I already had studied at my own a bit. Unfortunately it was a bit hard. I have also other things going on in my life (ofc) so I'm really struggling with studying and I'm unsure if I should give it up or do more for it :( But I can really recommend learning a new language for everyone it's really helpful also in other aspects of life.
This kinda inspires me. I’m fluent in german and English, I have to study french and spanish in school, and am studying korean as a hobby. I think being able to speak multiple languages fluently is amazing and I really want to be able to speak korean and Spanish
Right now I’m trying to learn Korean and I Hope I don’t quit cause when ever something Hard and people start to judge me I start Hating my self cause of how dumb I am I try my best I normally just give up before I even start heck I dropped out of school in 2017 in 8th grade... cause of dumb reasons lol I’m still figuring stuff out...
i speak 3 languages fluently but i am currently learning spanish, next year i am starting swedish and the year after french and maybe german if i can handle it i still dont think i am enough

hiragana? maybe you need to try mnemonics to remember it. Keep it up and you will succeed ᕦ( ᐛ )ᕤ がんばってね!
For me the hiragana was easy. Learning 5000 kanji characters for basic speech was the difficult part.

Wow!! You are doing really well for your young age! You are very skilled in so many different topics, such as languages, make up etc.!
Thank you so much for the suggestions, Venus! I never heard of this Hello Talk App before watching this video. I plan to use it to help me with my Spanish and perfect my Arabic. You're awesome!!

Aimi Yuri Sakura Try learning one language at a time it would help a lot

I speak 2 languages almost fluently and 2 others a little bit😘
German & English, french & danish
I'll lear latin next year💕
Sorry I'm 4 months late but...why Latin? Nobody speaks that anymore. Isn't it a waste of time?
레미Remi Lmaooo sorry I’m also extra late but isn’t there different variations of Latin ?? So it’s not dead ;-;
I learn French too!!! I am American so English is my first language and Korean is my second, and I am learning French!
I speak french, Dutch and English fluently, I speak a little Indonesian and I’m learning german
You are CRAZY SMART, Venus! I aspire to someday be as good at languages as you.
It's good to see you becoming more mature. 😊
I love your makeup!!! I'm going to try the app and see if I learn something new!!! ❤️❤️❤️
Mandy Hernandez n
Y'all should use Memrise, it's 10/10! I love it! I used it to learn my Dutch and Korean, and WOWZA!

Spanish is one of the easiest languages to learn if you study enough Korean um I think is like 5× harder?
Korean is easier than spanish.
I can speak Chinese and English and that’s it TwT
But chinese is like one of the hardest languages of all. So way to go!
well i only speak english so you’re one above me lol
how do you even--- i cant read chinese or understand it i can only 'yi, er, san, suh.' and 'ni hao' and 'xie xie' but that's allll. i cant read the numbers but i can read ni hao and xiexie.
i can speak Dutch and English, I can read/understand German(i can speak it too but still learning), I have to learn French and German in school, I'm also learning Norwegian, Russian and Japanese for myself( I'm 14 and a half btw :D)

I love your accent, Venus! It's like amazing, along with the fact that you are so linguistically talented!
Ich liebe dich

Is it just me that thinks she looks somewhat different I don't know exactly what it is but I do know she looks different lol😂💕
3 years later and still don't know 2 languages ^-^
Trying to learn Japanese but my teachers all want me to learn French because it's school
You may learn French alongside with Japanese ^^
I wish
when i was in school, i learned turkish and mongolian outside of school, and i learned spanish and german in school. you can learn many languages at the same time if you study really heard😊
Thank you Venus 😭💕 I’m going to use this to help my studies for Japanese korean Chinese and Thai
I live in indonesia and i am quite an expert in english. I am planning to learn spanish but i didn't have anyone to help me with it
*sad life*
Knowing 4 common responses in a language doesnt count as "knowing a language"
so pretty much move around all the time to learn languages..
This is amazing and encouraging. I am trying to learn Spanish and Korean, and hope to learn more as I get older.
This kinda inspires me.
I’m fluent in german and English,
