In the Philippines, there are different terms for teacher.
Teacher: Guro/Teacher/Maestro or Maestra/Propesor

stol in kazach and uzbek is interesting, in german we have "Stuhl", which means chair. There is probably some very ancient connection with these words. As in the "elevated board that things and people can be placed on"

Tagalog has lots of similiarities with traditional languanges in indonesian.
I think what makes the differences is that tagalog influenced by spanish, while indonesian is influenced by sanskrit, arabic, dutch, portuguese, and some of the traditional language aside of melayu languange (which is the base of indonesian languange)

I'm not a language expert, but as far as I know, our language has a lot of Arabic, Turkic, ancient Indo-Iranian languages such as Avestan, and even Sanskrit. After all, for many centuries, millennia, the territory of today's Kazakhstan and other parts of Central Asia were inhabited by various ancient Indo-Iranian and then Turkic tribes. Therefore, we still have many similar words with these countries.
