Approach and arrival into Atlanta GA approximately 4 hours behind schedule. The fuel pump in the center fuel tank was INOP, leaving N544US with only 2 viable fuel tanks for the trip between LAX & ATL. We were actually planning on a tech stop diversion to MEM prior to departing LAX. However, due to favorable tailwinds and many passengers opting to take other flights, we made it to ATL nonstop. Even with the lengthy delay, I managed to make the most of the situation-and enjoyed a nice cross country flight on another former Northwest 757 that I grew up flying on. Ship 5644 (like Ship 5643 that I recently flew on) has the newly refurbished 75H interior with new IFE & seat covers. I’m glad that DL decided to keep these old Zodiac/Weber coach seats, as I’ve found them to be some of the most comfortable coach class seats in the industry. It’s also worth mentioning that since so many passengers decided to take alternative flights, I ended up having an entire row to myself!
