Love the 767 with only 1 middle seat on each row. I flew on Delta’s first 767 the one the employees bought that also transported the Olympic torch to SLC for the 2002 winter games.
Despite the title, the video keeps generalizing the "767" which confuses me because there are 2 variants of the 767 in Delta's fleet. So I just want to make sure, this retirement only applies to the -300 and not the -400 right?
While it maybe part of the consideration, I think the primary reason is that by the 2030 deadline most of Delta’s 767s will be pushing 40. Why spend more money on aging airframes when they can buy new A350s and A330neos to replace them?
United has a321 neo so not delta alone has the neo. 767 and 757 are amazing but it's best to get rid of them for better newer advanced planes with better interiors and new products.

And some airlines retire 10-15yo planes. Way to go Delta!👍
What fits between various the A321neo versions and the A330-900? Delta may yet end up with the A330-800.
Ok I’ve been hoping to fly Delta long haul again. But now I know exactly which aircraft to go for. I must fly on Delta’s 767 before they’re gone.
While I know 767 is very comfortable in economy, I still choose the Airbus aircraft when doing Delta international.
Interesting how the Delta 767 outlasted the 777
When you flew their predecessors (the TriStars), and now you're watching the 767s retire, you feel OLD!
I actually preferred Delta's TriStars to the 767s
@@martindehavilland-fox3175I loved the TriStars too, but their time had come.
I couldn't agree more.
Time to let the modern, efficient aircraft have their day. All too soon, theirs will be gone too!
Flew the Delta 75/76 for Delta, both great airplanes
I love Delta’s new A330 Neos. They look so cool at Heathrow.
23 years since the 767-400 was introduced! Wow! Time flies! No pun intended 😂.
It’s a shame that Boeing couldn’t have re-engined this and the 57 to make it fly longer and into the future
I wish they’d done this
Rip 767
I'm gonna miss that PW4000 sound!
Also the JT9D too!
Oh I completely forgot. Yeah@@RocketrywithAnay_2013
I’ve flown on the 767’s a number of times. Great record, but showing their age. Looking forward to A350 replacements.
I've been on one of their 767's, it felt like stepping back in time. But they look great nonetheless!
Same, I flew one from BOS-ATL in first and it was very nice.
Damn, the Same Time American might retire their 777-200ERS!!!!
Love the 767

Does this translate to more conversions to freighters?
Is there any indication this decision is base on the 767 engines not making upcoming emissions standards?

Delta, United and American actually all have A321 NEO’s.
and only delta has a330neo
And the 767 is reliable. The 321 not so much.
@@justing42 The A321 is very reliable, the A320/A321neo with PW engines not so much.
Time to move forward
Presumably even more orders for Airbus.
RIP, stumpy! NEO, here they come!
I'd like the best replacement of Boeing 767-300ER is Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner
No, Delta is Airbus heavy so they choose A330neo
It's not what you want. It's what's best for their fleet. You people act like the 787 is the best aircraft.
@@wadehiggins1114bitter bitter bitter
@@wadehiggins1114 It is clearly the best aircraft in its class. Let’s stop pretending like it’s not.
@okay_then3337 no, it's not! It came to the market sooner, that's all!
They should order 787's to replaced 767's
I thought it was 2025
✈️
NCE->JFK 2015, one of my best flights.
Seasonal route back into service on March 30th of this year and it is in the 400 version.
Served Delta well but time to move on
…no
Time for Delta to get 787-8.
Good.
Thanks God,fueling them is a b***h
This is NOT ok. Disgusting they would do this
thank you
Time don't stop. Trump's supporters yep😒🤭
To modernize their fleet?
Replace aircraft that will be pushing 40 years old?
😂😂😂
