    This bike smokes my times compared to my SB130. Not sure why this isn't considered an enduro bike. It handles everything my 150 can take but faster than my 130. The best bike of the Yeti lineup. True one bike quiver.

    Great bike! Just built up an SB140, with X01 AXS. The shifting is awesome! For the rear end of the Yeti I put in a 0.4 volume spacer to allow for less LSC and more progression at the end of the stroke. Seems to make the rear end more supple and bottomless. You do any tuning to your bikes’ shock?

    Thanks for another great video. Your Rocky Mountain Altitude videos played a large part in me ending up buying one. How would you say the SB140 compares to the Altitude? One thing I seem challenged with is the seat tube height of the Altitude (thurs affecting dropper post extension also) and it looks like the SB140 might be much lower and also could go to Medium and have same reach as a Rocky Large.

    • @mtbyumyum
      @mtbyumyum  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, I really love the Rocky Mountain altitude. It's more playful and snappy feeling then this Yeti 140. And yeah, I have the same complaint with most of Rocky Mountains line up. The seat tube length is a little long for modern droppers that extend beyond 150 mm. You might check out the new Ibis HD 5. Has a very low seat tube length and still has that fun playful feel to it

    27.5 is where it’s at... I’m pissed at myself for buying 29ers... I have my SC Reserve 29ers on Pinkbike for sale... I want to go back to a + build on my Hightower. The 2.8’s gobbled up everything I threw at them... the 29ers feel like work and they messed up my geometry. Stanner yes. I am on 30mm internal carbon hoops. Old ones ENVE M70 HV and they were then sold off.... replaced with Santa Cruz Reserved 30mm as well. The ENVEs were definitely better for acceleration and turns and the SCs were better for heavy hits and janky chatter downhills. Both wheel sets ran on 2.4 DHR II rears and 2.5 DHF fronts.

    A Yeti SB-140 I was going to buy read "Made in Vietnam." I won't spend $7,000 on a bike made in Vietnam. I'd much rather buy my new ride "Made in The USA." Now I'm looking @ a Guerrilla!
