i've never been a big fan of youtube, but I've been watching since i was 11, and i'm in my last year of high school now! You've had such a big impact on my fashion, decor, and makeup, as well as introduced me to stuff like bunny health, chronic illness, maid cafes, and precure! I remember going to the grocery store and trying SO HARD to find the lipton blueberry muffin tea you mentioned in your tea video lol. Your Everyone is Cute and Lolita Fashion & Confidence videos also helped me a lot with my social anxiety as a kid (especially the "please don't think the world revolves around you!" part, that still sticks in my mind sometimes)! I was someone who came to your Japan vlogs this year, and they gave me so much enjoyment over stressful times. Thank you. I'm really excited to see Season 2, but I appreciate your views on creativity and branding even more. I'm not a TH-camr, but I use social media for marketing my novels, and I've been struggling with some similar things. I enjoy some aspects of social media and connecting with readers and other writers, but there is a lot of pressure in the community about posting on a schedule and what content to (or not to) post. Not to mention how often you should be writing or releasing a new book, and all the writing "rules" that get spread around. I have pretty intense anxiety and can't work a normal job or schedule as it is, so to have so much pressure over how I should express my creativity (the thing that has been as much therapy as an ideal "career" to me) is sort of destroying my love of writing. I don't want to be a brand. Some days I'm not even sure I want to be an author. I just want to be a person who writes stories she loves and shares them with the world, in hopes that someone else will find meaning in my *very* personal novels. I think a lot of people (especially those around our age) are reexamining their lives and priorities right now. I very much would like to release myself from the pressures of being an author and just start writing for the love of it again. But I've been saying that for years now and can only seem to accomplish it for very short stretches before my anxiety brain starts yelling at me again. What I mean to say is, please create the things you love. And thank you for sharing those things.
Your situation is very understandable and I'm glad the stuff I discussed in this video could resonate with you! It's definitely very, very hard to start making your hobby & passion into paid work or a job. That is honestly what killed drawing art for me did, when I used to do drawing commissions and interactive games for the web. However, don't let that discourage you- plenty of people I follow have successfully found a balance with making art/writing a career even if it was difficult for a while. But don't be afraid to consider something else if it's ruining the fun and freedom for you!

I visited Japan in 2018 with some friends too and really regret not doing some vlogging during our trip. Watching (and rewatching) your Japan series brought me back so many good memories from my own trip. We're planning on visiting again in 2021 and will be making a point of filming this time, it's such a lovely way to look back on your adventure! It's lovely to hear you've become more comfortable with doing your own thing with your content and focusing on what makes you happy. It is so important that you're not just doing things to please others constantly, and I'm personally looking forward to your new content :)

I love you, I especially love how genuine you are being. I hope one day to actually meet you in person. Just so you know I would have loved your first time just as much as your 6th. Sorry updates stress you out, but I so understand, I have a lot I could do on ytube but what I don't like are updates and sitting in front of the camera. Wierd as I have never had a problem being on stage and acting. It isn't seeing the audience be causing I can't see them if I tried, as I have always been low vision since birth. But I would do the 6th time just because I wouldn't like the results. I understand about you changing, heck I have too, I explored other cultures and clothing this last year taking a visit back to my adopted native lands and my ex's culture as well, since my youngest daughter choose to theme her wedding after India culture. And ended up full circle just a month ago back to Japanese lolita fashion, some of the culture and ways, and kimono. This journey showed where my love and sense of wellbeing is firstly. And what is just something I revisit when the momentary fancy strikes. I am so excited for Japan season 2, I really need to rewatch season 1 again I did last winter. It was obvious to me that they wouldn't be the same, as going with sparkly Jewels would be different than with your SO(I am so bad with names, yeah ADHD). So don't beat yourself up over a different style or feel, we are more forgiving and not caring about it being the same or not, who wants to only eat just sweet and sugar no break? I am so excited that you have ACNH and filmcaptured it, how cool is that. Since I couldn't get a Switch they sold out too quickly, I got a new 2dsxl secondhand that was only used 15 days and have been playing ACNL and HHA and have been having so much fun. I have tried my hand at designing some dresses and want to try some more now where the level is with the sewing machine. When the Switch is easily available again I will be getting one and ACNH. I am excited to see your game play and designs. Congratulations on finishing university. My middle daughter also just graduated her double Master's but still has 3 more months of internship and her thesis paper to write, things are all mixed up everywhere it seems. And Bunbun bunny videos of course I am dying to see how they are doing! Updates on them and videos just watching them play, eat, cuddle and sleep would be awesome, no need to even say much, they can do the "talking"... I am so proud that you have decided to take care of yourself first, and that this last year has shown you how to manage your health and wellbeing and a beneficial job. That was a lesson I didn't learn until more recently, many years later, but I did what I thought was best, and now am looking after myself better as well.

It's okay to take your time! I think I personally enjoy people's passion work much more than when they're trying to churn out "content" all the time. I've also just started watching the first season of Princess in Japan for the 3rd time because they're just so enjoyable
Oh, I feel you on this!!! I actually find it hard to keep up with youtubers if they post too much content, but I know at least back in around 2015-2018 this was a requirement to remain in the suggestions and notifications. Thankfully TH-cam has since changed that due to all the reports o creator burnout and stress.

I was someone who came to your Japan vlogs this year, and they gave me so much enjoyment over stressful times. Thank you. I'm really excited to see Season 2, but I appreciate your views on creativity and branding even more. I'm not a TH-camr, but I use social media for marketing my novels, and I've been struggling with some similar things. I enjoy some aspects of social media and connecting with readers and other writers, but there is a lot of pressure in the community about posting on a schedule and what content to (or not to) post. Not to mention how often you should be writing or releasing a new book, and all the writing "rules" that get spread around. I have pretty intense anxiety and can't work a normal job or schedule as it is, so to have so much pressure over how I should express my creativity (the thing that has been as much therapy as an ideal "career" to me) is sort of destroying my love of writing. I don't want to be a brand. Some days I'm not even sure I want to be an author. I just want to be a person who writes stories she loves and shares them with the world, in hopes that someone else will find meaning in my *very* personal novels. I think a lot of people (especially those around our age) are reexamining their lives and priorities right now. I very much would like to release myself from the pressures of being an author and just start writing for the love of it again. But I've been saying that for years now and can only seem to accomplish it for very short stretches before my anxiety brain starts yelling at me again. What I mean to say is, please create the things you love. And thank you for sharing those things.
Your situation is very understandable and I'm glad the stuff I discussed in this video could resonate with you! It's definitely very, very hard to start making your hobby & passion into paid work or a job. That is honestly what killed drawing art for me did, when I used to do drawing commissions and interactive games for the web. However, don't let that discourage you- plenty of people I follow have successfully found a balance with making art/writing a career even if it was difficult for a while. But don't be afraid to consider something else if it's ruining the fun and freedom for you!
I'm so proud of you that you've been honest with yourself and been so transparent. You are an incredible human and I'm looking forward to you making more videos that you enjoy making

I visited Japan in 2018 with some friends too and really regret not doing some vlogging during our trip. Watching (and rewatching) your Japan series brought me back so many good memories from my own trip. We're planning on visiting again in 2021 and will be making a point of filming this time, it's such a lovely way to look back on your adventure!

Just so you know I would have loved your first time just as much as your 6th. Sorry updates stress you out, but I so understand, I have a lot I could do on ytube but what I don't like are updates and sitting in front of the camera. Wierd as I have never had a problem being on stage and acting. It isn't seeing the audience be causing I can't see them if I tried, as I have always been low vision since birth. But I would do the 6th time just because I wouldn't like the results.
I understand about you changing, heck I have too, I explored other cultures and clothing this last year taking a visit back to my adopted native lands and my ex's culture as well, since my youngest daughter choose to theme her wedding after India culture. And ended up full circle just a month ago back to Japanese lolita fashion, some of the culture and ways, and kimono. This journey showed where my love and sense of wellbeing is firstly. And what is just something I revisit when the momentary fancy strikes.
I am so excited for Japan season 2, I really need to rewatch season 1 again I did last winter. It was obvious to me that they wouldn't be the same, as going with sparkly Jewels would be different than with your SO(I am so bad with names, yeah ADHD). So don't beat yourself up over a different style or feel, we are more forgiving and not caring about it being the same or not, who wants to only eat just sweet and sugar no break?
I am so excited that you have ACNH and filmcaptured it, how cool is that. Since I couldn't get a Switch they sold out too quickly, I got a new 2dsxl secondhand that was only used 15 days and have been playing ACNL and HHA and have been having so much fun. I have tried my hand at designing some dresses and want to try some more now where the level is with the sewing machine. When the Switch is easily available again I will be getting one and ACNH. I am excited to see your game play and designs.
Congratulations on finishing university. My middle daughter also just graduated her double Master's but still has 3 more months of internship and her thesis paper to write, things are all mixed up everywhere it seems.
And Bunbun bunny videos of course I am dying to see how they are doing! Updates on them and videos just watching them play, eat, cuddle and sleep would be awesome, no need to even say much, they can do the "talking"...
I am so proud that you have decided to take care of yourself first, and that this last year has shown you how to manage your health and wellbeing and a beneficial job. That was a lesson I didn't learn until more recently, many years later, but I did what I thought was best, and now am looking after myself better as well.

I understand about the performance thing. I have some friends who work in theatre, and a lot of them said performing in front of a camera was a very different experience and some of them in fact didn't like it! Also- hope you enjoy Animal Crossing when you can get it!!
