This was a great playlist!!! Loved each video and seeing Japan through yours and your friend's eyes. ^__^ I loved how you both kept in the highs and lows of traveling to keep it real. I took a day off to have a long weekend, and as it is still the last bits of lockdown there wasn't that much to do, so this was a real treat! I hardly binge anything within a few days, but this was great! Started it last Friday and just finished it just now, and will have a look at the next one. X Thanks for showing and sharing lots of info about where you went and transport etc. These videos have helped me to understand more of the weather and things you need in different seasons. Even little things about why face towels are sold so much. I loved all the fashion and shop journeys, and was so glad you showed the yukata rentals, and arcades, and all the gatchapon, and bit of bath houses, hotels and etiquette. Even though we are now lucky to have some more dedicated shops and events in the UK that specialise in Japanese culture and all kinds of retail, it still shows it doesn't even scrape the surface of choice in Japan. I would love the UK to have a butler and maid cafe. xD The gatchapon is so cheap at the source compared to when it is sold on! From the videos it seems they are sold on in the UK for 3-4 times their original price. I wish more European countries did more trading with Japan, so we don't have to wait for big events and buying stuff off others with a high mark up price, but I suppose the whole point is that they would like you to visit and but it yourself. :)
This was such an amazing seriee and I actually started crying when the plane took off because I actually felt like I was in Japan with you and I was really sad to be leaving with you, can't wait to watch season 2, I'm ready for the tears again!

Finished this series, and it just makes me want to go to Japan. I'm kind of speechless and I don't think I can say anything else but well done. I loved that besides doing the weeb stuff (which omg I really really want to do as well), you visited places like museums and temples and just did a lot to share the culture of Japan. Can't wait for season two!!!!

aaah I just got back from my trip to Japan like a month and half ago and this video makes me miss it so much, I miss eating lots of food in Japan like ramen and melon pan and the arcades ;-; I hope I can go back one day. I also played Taiko no Tatsujin when I was there and played the same Precure song you did lol (but taiko no tatsujin hurts my hands lol)

hii, i don’t know if you’re going to answer this but how much money did you take with you? i really want to go to japan and spend money on a lot of things, but i’m not sure abt how much money i should take w me!
sardonyx Hi bud!! It’s hard to suggest a budget for shopping because it depends on your personal tastes, eg I normally have quite cheap taste LOL (so even though I bought a lot of things, it was mostly affordable stuff) Please note exchange rates are currently high due to the pandemic, but at the time I went in 2018 it cost us (per person) in UK GBP £: £1,000 return flight, about £26 per night at a hotel (due to sharing cost), £30 per day for food and drink (we ate very cheaply & did not buy alcohol due to the high heat), and it was about £9 travel on trains per day. Disneyland/Sea tickets were £52 per day. Everything else like aracades, gachapon, shopping, entry to temples/gardens etc depends on your own personal budget and preference! Don’t forget we also paid for travel insurance and pocket wifi (a must!!) Hope that all helps 🥰

sardonyx Yes they increased the prices recently due to the new Fantasyland expansion (that’s just finished being built) and a new DisneySea area due for 2023. It’s not a major increase though, only a few £ more. I would say if you have been to a Disneyland before, the cost is still absolutely worth it for DisneySea (the japanese exclusive park). Often rated the best in the world!
Princess Peachie i see! i’ve never been to any kind of disney park before so i can’t really tell if it’d be worth it or not :’) i was thinking of taking around 7000€ - 8000€ with me, for me and my boyfriend. we really want to stay for about 2 weeks. i just wasn’t sure if we’d even be on the safe side with that amount of money or not
sardonyx COMPLETELY SAFE!! Haha!! My entire trip cost me £4,000 and that’s only because I managed to save a lot to go shopping!! A quarter of that was for the flight! Sounds like you have plenty ☺️ Also if it helps, it’s about £50 cheaper of a ticket to go to Disneyland in Japan than in America or Europe lol! Disneyland & Sea in Japan has a lot more regular visitors/annual passports which is one reason why they can keep costs down.

Nope haha, it's a common misconception. I was only there on holiday for 3 weeks last year, which is all the footage you've seen in my videos so far. :) It just takes a long time to edit each day's episode. You can see the dates at the start of each video (eg this one says "Final Day: 8th/9th July '18") I went back again for a holiday this year but that hasn't been made for youtube.

Finished this series, and it just makes me want to go to Japan. I'm kind of speechless and I don't think I can say anything else but well done. I loved that besides doing the weeb stuff (which omg I really really want to do as well), you visited places like museums and temples and just did a lot to share the culture of Japan. aaah I just got back from my trip to Japan like a month and half ago and this video makes me miss it so much, I miss eating lots of food in Japan like ramen and melon pan and the arcades ;-; I hope I can go back one day. I also played Taiko no Tatsujin when I was there and played the same Precure song you did lol (but taiko no tatsujin hurts my hands lol)

hii, i don’t know if you’re going to answer this but how much money did you take with you? i really want to go to japan and spend money on a lot of things, but i’m not sure abt how much money i should take w me!
sardonyx Hi bud!! It’s hard to suggest a budget for shopping because it depends on your personal tastes, eg I normally have quite cheap taste LOL (so even though I bought a lot of things, it was mostly affordable stuff) Please note exchange rates are currently high due to the pandemic, but at the time I went in 2018 it cost us (per person) in UK GBP £: £1,000 return flight, about £26 per night at a hotel (due to sharing cost), £30 per day for food and drink (we ate very cheaply & did not buy alcohol due to the high heat), and it was about £9 travel on trains per day. Disneyland/Sea tickets were £52 per day. Everything else like aracades, gachapon, shopping, entry to temples/gardens etc depends on your own personal budget and preference! Don’t forget we also paid for travel insurance and pocket wifi (a must!!) Hope that all helps 🥰

sardonyx Yes they increased the prices recently due to the new Fantasyland expansion (that’s just finished being built) and a new DisneySea area due for 2023. It’s not a major increase though, only a few £ more. I would say if you have been to a Disneyland before, the cost is still absolutely worth it for DisneySea (the japanese exclusive park). Often rated the best in the world!

i see! i’ve never been to any kind of disney park before so i can’t really tell if it’d be worth it or not :’) i was thinking of taking around 7000€ - 8000€ with me, for me and my boyfriend. we really want to stay for about 2 weeks. i just wasn’t sure if we’d even be on the safe side with that amount of money or not
sardonyx COMPLETELY SAFE!! Haha!! My entire trip cost me £4,000 and that’s only because I managed to save a lot to go shopping!! A quarter of that was for the flight! Sounds like you have plenty ☺️ Also if it helps, it’s about £50 cheaper of a ticket to go to Disneyland in Japan than in America or Europe lol! Disneyland & Sea in Japan has a lot more regular visitors/annual passports which is one reason why they can keep costs down.

Nope haha, it's a common misconception. I was only there on holiday for 3 weeks last year, which is all the footage you've seen in my videos so far. :) It just takes a long time to edit each day's episode.
You can see the dates at the start of each video (eg this one says "Final Day: 8th/9th July '18")
I went back again for a holiday this year but that hasn't been made for youtube.
It was so sad when I left Japan, I feel for this vid u_u I lived there for ~9 months.
