You're a class act Ken. I wanna be like you when I grow up. I have friends and coworkers from Vietnam and I'd love to travel and work there sometime in the near future.

Question: What if you move to Vietnam, get a job or start a small business, but then you develop dementia or cancer and can no longer work? How can you stay in Vietnam? If you build your life there and don't have family to take care of you in Vietnam or back in your home country, then what? Other than getting Vietnamese citizenship, how can you protect yourself from getting deported back to a country where you may no longer have a support network when you can no longer conform to the requirements of your visa?

If you don’t work, then you can’t stay long term…get married to a local or just move back to your home country…if you don’t have family back home….that’s tough luck for you my friend…who said life was fair

Go ahead and make an inquiry with his team for long term care, retirement, etc.
Complex personal questions cannot be answered in the youtube comments 😂

we own beauty clinic and cosmetics business in Cambodia, and we are studying about expansion plan into Vietnam in 2024 or 2025. What would be the budget range for opening a mid-size beauty clinic business in Hochiminh City?

Hi Ken, if I'm a 1099 vendor. I do consulting services and companies pay me for my services. If I don't pay tax to the governments, how would the government know? Do they have a system to track? Thanks

I've been going back and forth on Vietnam. Not sure if I want to learn another language as I know English and Spanish. I've always wanted to be in Southeast Asia. Particularly Vietnam or the Philippines.

if you already have a passive income from a pension or overseas investments that easily cover the cost of living in Vietnam, is it possible to live in Vietnam without creating one of the new sources of income you suggest? That was the search that yielded this video and while you have provided a lot of no doubt useful information, none of it covers my question...

    • @iamdjsyko

perhaps some kind of taxation agreement whereby the Vietnamese government gets (say) 20% of my income over a certain 0 rate threshold and in return I get to live and rent longterm without constantly worrying about what happens at the end of my latest tourist visa?
