Neewer 43" Reflector Kit on Amazon help.tc/Reflector
Softbox
Thanks for the video. How can we do the diffuser and reflector for group shots and full body standing portraits please?
Love this couple. Real pros who are always helping others with what appears to be genuine personalities.
the guy is the calmest person ive ever seen in my whole life/
@j Smith now a total badass
Hahaha ikr
The dog is petty calm
...and with in-body stabilization. As Chelsea once noticed.
Tony on the gold reflector - "Its blinding me."Chelsea - "How do you feel about that?"Tony - "Blind!"LOL
You two make me sick, you're both gorgeous, you're both smart, and you're both doing what you love. :) Thanks for the great tutorials, and the inspiration.
I love these old Parks and Rec episodes
Another benefit of the black is to create contrast (usually used in cinematography). If the lighting is too flat, the black can add shadow to one side to add depth.
great point!
5 years later, this article was helpful. thankyou
This has been the best explanation & demonstration of all the colors that I have seen......thank you.
Thanks for a great video. You two are an awesome team, and the information you share make my hobby so much more enjoyable.
Freeman Burgess Thanks!
3:41
Him: "It's blinding me."
Her: "How do you feel about it?"
Him: "Blind."
Classic
i really everything learn from you & you both are my Best Best trainers.
I could not have found this video at a more perfect time. My neewer 43” reflector kit got here a few days ago! Absolutely love your videos, I have only been shooting with a dslr for a couple months and you’re channel has been an amazing learning resource for me
Thank you so much! I love the way you explained this to amateur photographers like myself. This video is super helpful. :)
You both seem to be more relaxed in front of the camera with each new video. The whole package [edits/post/content/script/etc.] keeps steadily improving. You rock.
John Campbell Thanks! Practice makes perfect...
Yay! I ordered that kit this weekend. It's arriving today. Woot!
I'm in love with Chelsea sorry Tony, it just slipped out.
You guys are awesome. You are very detailed, apt! Thank you guys for thinking of others like me. Your teachings really make sense. One Love!
Also, thank God for TH-cam.
gracias por el tutorial...saludos desde Peru
this solution is amazing i done a shoot in london last week HUGE difference
I already have that book. Totally worth it to get. Good video guys!
Really helpful video, thanks! Also the dogs in the background make me happy. :)
nothing is more awesome than a Boeing CH-47 Chinook helicopter flying over head in your shot! great presentation.
Thank you for this video! Super helpful 😃
So flattering
Love your content, thanks so much for doing these videos
You both are awesome 😀. Great couple!!!
Great video guys! You can also use the black side of the reflector on the shadow-side of the subject's face to provide negative fill--boosting contrast in the shadow detail. Especially helpful when using a diffuser (or diffusing light panel) which often eliminates shadow contrast too much.
I need to get a set like this, awesome video as always, so informative and entertaining at the same time :-)
Tony, I think I fixed the problem in being notified of your & Chelsea's TH-cam videos. Thanks Tom C
Hey guys, your videos are becoming a lot more funnier than what they used to be. I think it's because Chelsea is talking more!
Thank you guys!
Thanks for info, also pretty model
You two are hilarious! Gorgeous day there in CT when you shot this.
Great video and love reading your Stunning Digital Photography Book on My iPad.
That's what SDP (.io) stands for! Stunning Digital Photograpy !!!!
[insert mindblown meme here]
I've
been watching your videos for 2 years and always wondered why sdp.io
and now I see you hold the book and say sdp.io at the same time and it
clicked :D
Good video, just saved me from getting a reflector stand.
Loved the video!
That video was fun watching. Thanks.
Hahaha! I love how her facial expressions change as he replaces and removes the diffuser after having explained it 😄😂🤣😃😆💥🤘 But this is also a great video that explains these concepts very well. Thank you for sharing!
The voice of the man is so so cool I love it
Very useful and i really appreciate
I have the same reflectors and I only use to gold reflector at sunset (I have my subject face away from the sun and use the gold side to bounce the light onto their face and it works much better at sunset than at midday since the light is already golden at sunset).
ALSO if you don't want to buy a reflector stand and you don't have an assistant, just use a tripod and the self timer on your camera. Set the self timer then while it's counting down, hold the reflector onto your subject
Good advice. And I almost only use the gold too idk what people here are talking about haha.
This reflector / diffuser is one of the best tools for such little cost that every photographer must have one. And its GREEN; no batteries required. I wish you had shown how it folds down into a fraction of its original size.... but hey! Thanks for another great video. One more potential use for this is as a background on head shots, product photography and so on. Just get one!
When I see a group of nice Photographers, I wish I could be a part of them, but thumbs up for you guys anyway I learned alot from you :) :*
EntertainME247 Try MeetUp.com for Photo groups in your area, best of luck.
Simple solution when working outdoors with light stands, reflector holders etc when it gets a bit breezy -use guy lines. A few lengths of cord, a few line locks and some tent pegs and you can secure your stands. I often use two guys at 45 degrees working in opposition to the weight of whatever the stand is holding, soft box, reflector etc. In more adverse conditions simply increase the number of guys in use.
Useful video, thanks!
So, any news on a reflector + assistant combo kit? I can't afford to buy both separately on my budget.
I love your content
Note the smaller the hole the better the focus, I found that to support the back of the foil against a hard surface whilst piercing the hole worked well
thank you so much.
thank you!
Thanks Team.
Thank you
Great informative video.
love it
You guys have a great sense of humor :)
Very useful!
Hello, guys! Great work! I've started photographing again and I have recently bought a reflector. I don't have an assistant when I'm photographing outside so my model does this work for me. Until now I've used the silver side and the white side. Thank you again!
Glad to help!
Chris Chamberlain Yes! This is what I did. I had the model holding the reflector. Thank you!
Hi Tony & Chelsea! Thanks for the video, it was helpful to actually see you handle this sizeable reflector. Currently, I'm also considering a Neewer reflector, however I'm leaning more towards the triangular version with grip. It seems easier to handle in the absence of an assistant. Not sure on the size, however (32 or 40 inches). Have you tried triangular reflectors and would you think the 40" triangle is unwieldy, or is it possible for a solo photographer to operate it? Interested in hearing your thoughts! Thanks
very helpful!!
Very informative
Tony so good in this
Great video
The helicopter is the sound of freedom.
3 camera video? amazing quality
Keep going I like your videos 👍🏻
Hi. Nice instructive video. What's the stand you're using for this ? Do you have a link where to find one ?
Thanks to answer
very good
The lighting on Chelsea at 5:41 is amazing. Were you using reflectors or anything for that? Also what lens was used? It's got a very dreamy look to it.
It's nice tips tank u
Great tutorial! Is it really that chilly there in July?
Thanks for the buying suggestion Inexpensive is the only way I can go. Appreciate it
Thanks.
You should do a video on diffusing Led Light Panels like the Yongnuo Yn-600. Good video, I actually kind of like the gold since it does kind of look like sunset, but shouldn't be used if someone smiles haha
What do you recommend for outdoors if you dont have an assistant to hold the diffuser
Good video
Would you use a Neewer softbox diffuser or Gary Fong diffuser on a speedlite 430EXII for wedding shots?
Hi Tony and Chelsea! Can you tell me what lens you used at 5:40 ? I like it!
thanks great video . my mum brought me your great digital photgrphy book for christmas last year how do i get the updates i think she brought it from amazon
great book by the way
Any tips on how to get a striped effect from window blinds on the face in doors during the day ? I have this kit and speed lite for my DSLR ! But I can't seem to get the reflection in the face ? Any advice ?
Can you use this in combination with an external flash or is this when you don’t have flash available?
Iam sure this couple is very have cemistry, and loving each other.
Tony as a professional, do you use the 5 in one styles, or do you use a single colour one (is it possible to buy a single colour one?
How do you expose for the frame when using a reflector on a model?
I am about to try using my Neewer 60cm reflector and diffuser kit (same thing but smaller than yours which is 90cm), but now that I unfolded it, I don't know how to fold it back for my next flight (it was like a 8-shape in about 3rd its size). Can you suggest an idea?
Yes Ive been waiting for this! Also, first :)
And also cane you please review the Fstopper flash disk.
Thank you so much.
Fahad Bashraheel Unfortunately, we can't review any F-Stoppers products because we have a relationship with them that would make us biased.
Which is best to buy, round or rectangular- (does shape matter)?
You guys look really happy in this video 😂
Great video but one tip. At the end you promote your book, which is fine. But by naming it SDP it will be vague what it is for newcomers. Especially these videos will attract new people to your channel. Best, Pim
So shiny side is reflector and the matte one is diffuser?
looking beautifull mam
What camera is this video being shot with?
Tony should moonlight as one of 'em narrators - he got the voice.
Super
Very nice Vedio.
Can you please review the Gary Fong light sphere.
Fahad Bashraheel We reviewed light modifiers here: th-cam.com/video/3ZstWIk2cTU/w-d-xo.html
Gary Fong sent us a lightsphere for review but it did so poorly in a real-world test that we chose not to publish the results. It's vastly overpriced, mostly uncontrolled, and so heavy it screws up your flash. In all of our reviews there have only been two products that we simply couldn't find anything positive to say about.
Cool dog.
Maybe you should point out that it's almost always a very bad idea to put your key light from below like you were doing at 3:57 - 4:12.
Got the reflector. Where do I get an assitent? 😉
What breed/mix are the cute dogs in the background ?
Is 60cm enough or should I get a 80 cm and would you buy a round or square? I want one for video work
Nice bird poop on the reflector :)
KustiIisakki lmao
thought it was seman :/
Cowboy looking suave in the background haha
