I raptor lined the whole body of 07 chevy tahoe. I get a lot of compliments on it and it’s durable as hell. Perfect cure for the pinstripes caused from brush and the woods.
I professionally spray on bedliner for a body shop, we prep with a big nylon cup brush. It looks a lot easier than what ur doing to scuff the bumpers. Love the videos!
Does a cup brush remove the scale really well though? I'd imagine they would be ok to prep a painted surface but wonder how long they would hold up on raw steel.

Awesome vid...you try using flap disks? I thought they worked awesome. Another thing for your cleaning...try the Dollar Store degreaser (clear bottle) with a yellow tint to it. For a buck, I love detailing the 4 wheeler and different cleanup jobs. 🍻

I've done some custom bumpers similar to this in the past. I'm now questioning whether it was worth it to take the time and grind off the mill scale. I have also spent HOURS doing this. Looking back it seems it would've been easier to DA it lightly and call it good. Especially considering it sticks better than any paint you'll ever use.
Just an idea, but maybe you should cut out an AVR logo and weld it onto your bumpers, or maybe cut it out in a non crucial location. Love the designs and build quality, and you could easily let everyone know it's yours!
I would try soaking the abrasive pad in diluted muriatic acid for 15 minutes. I bet it would clean off all the gunk so that you could get another final use out of it.
