I'm a cancer survivor and the exploration and themes of illness and how different characters deal with it is a major reason i LOVE Spider-Man 2. I had no idea that Anti-Venom had that origin. That adds a whole new dimension to it for me. Thanks, Nando
I would recommend "Venom" by Donny Cates. I think he gave the best character growth to Eddie and Venom, from a depressed suicidal half-dead man (it starts with Eddie clashing with Venom and finding out about its cancer) to someone that found a new purpose to go on with his life. It also leads to the "King in Black" run.
I think it works for the context of the story they wanted to make in the comics, it just stands out when you wanna make a whole wave of cards based around that comic event
It actually made me think there were less and theyre more distinct than i thought lol But in comics in general, im usually wishing writters would like develop a sidekick instead of adding their own and stuff, just too many
damn, no mention of the Spider-Man: Edge of Time game? that's the whole reason I knew Anti-Venom even as a thing before getting into comics themselves.
Love comic book characters like this where it's obvious they came up with the name first, and then everything else just flows from that. Antivenom. Ok, so Venom, but opposite. But how? Oh, of course, Mr Negative!
I think this ability makes sense. Anti-venom cures you of your ailments (what holds cards back is their cost, he removes that) but can also take away your strengths as a result, like with Spider-Man (reduces power)
About Marvel Snap ability, I can get why it has that power: take it as Anti-Venom "curing everything" from the next card, getting rid of the burden of its cost but also cleaning its power.
I think an interesting idea for Anti-Venom would have been to make it attach to a card like Hulkbuster does, but return it to its original power. I haven't played Marvel Snap in well over a year or so, so I have no idea if this would be good or not. But it feels more on them for AV than the power the card actually has IMO
Happy Halloween Kinda fitting for this spooky month we end the spookiest by flipping the symbiote theme Aha thats why i thought Anti-Venom was an Agent Venom thing
I’d prefer if the anti-venom card got a redo. It feels like he should have shadow kings ability. I’d probably have him be a 3 cost 0 power card that mixes the venom absorption with Mr negative power swap. Not quite sure how, but something like that would make sense to me
No Edge of Time mention? That’s… fine. Also, if you’re done with symbiotes for a while that’s cool, but one unique symbiote that I haven’t seen you mention is Sleeper (the most recent child of Venom & the most chill symbiote).
If we got Mr Negative either in the MCU or in the universe where Tom Hardy Venom is from, Do you think we will see him in like action and should Steven Yeun play him?
I would see someone like Byron Mann in the role. He plays a similar role in Wu Assassins, a beloved community figure on one side, a scheming villain with superpowers on the other.
[Spoilers for Venom Last Dance] . . . . My theory is still that, if they ARE trying to expand the Sony-verse, with Knull as their Thanos, I think Eddie is gonna get some version of the Anti-Venom symbiote, but in a way that lets it preserve it's Venom personality, if maybe a little screwed up. Because they are definitely seem to be aiming for Agent Venom with Flash, sorry Corporal Thompson, losing his legs in the 3rd act fight in Last Dance. Would be super funny if they wind up swapping symbiotes by the end, so we have Agent Anti-venom and a reunited Eddie/Venom for the big finish. And considering how they're going about things, will laugh my ass off if Mr. Negative is somehow in Kraven.

This whole series made me realize we have WAY too many symbiotes lol
I wouldn't say that. To me the problem is that they almost always bond to regular people.

I mean the best venom run of all time is about there being a whole planet of them
I don’t think it’s the amount of them that’s the problem, but rather the writers almost never wanting to develop most of them except the popular ones
damn, no mention of the Spider-Man: Edge of Time game? that's the whole reason I knew Anti-Venom even as a thing before getting into comics themselves.
Thought i was the only one..

Nando cooks once again

Was not expecting to have those flashbacks to Spider-man: Reign. Thanks for that. LOL
Antivenom mindlessly neutralizing (healing) the next card up, sounds pretty on brand
Always great videos🎉🎉 ( you'll go crazy thinking about snap reworks)
Fantastic video!!!!!
Da comicbook king is back baby he neva miss we're eating good today y'all
Idk why but its always New York and im all for it babyyyyy
Agent antivenom is a amazing idea
Petey didn’t think of giving Jane Foster a call? Savage.
Hi Nando, I’m Bugsy. Love your videos
7:00 Now they should make an Agent Anti-Venom card that puts all card in your deck at 0/0.
That would make anti venom redundant

We _all_ need an Anti-Venom in our lives.
I didn't know of Agent Anti-Venom, only the one that is Venom+CancerxNegative
Happy Halloween
Kinda fitting for this spooky month we end the spookiest by flipping the symbiote theme
Aha thats why i thought Anti-Venom was an Agent Venom thing
First to me I saw Anti-Venom was when Brock was on Wonder man’s Revengers in what I think was the Avengers Annual at the time

he does these when the characters are released in marvel snap...
@ oh yeah, I keep forgetting about these videos being timed to the marvel snap

Why you use Agent Anti-Venom for the thumbnail?
Who's better with the Anti-Venom Symbiote between Eddie Brock and Flash Thompson? Will we see this happening in the MCU?
Tough call but I would say Eddie Brock just due to how much of a strong bond they have but flash isn’t too far behind
i think mr negatives powers are similar to cloak and dagger's dark and light abilities
How powerful is Anti-Venom compared to Knull with how the Symbiote can stop other Symbiotes like Carnage?
I like venom like Batman/Superman
Generally uninterested with the base version. But the surrounding world is interesting enough
I’m so tempted to get him cuz I like the character but the card does not seem super great

DEATHLOK IS WHAT?????
Anti Venom? Why not Uncle Venom?? (Uncle Ben-om? Is that anything?)
More Venom characters? 🙄
Wey yaaaaaa! 😩
4:47 you say “messiah complex” but he is still legitimately healing people
10 seconds and no views. Bro fell off
