You can add chains and bullets and removable belt buckles and realize you made it way more difficult than it needed to be 😂 im definitely happy with mine tho
I like to make these with a little pocket for the D rings so the ring itself isn't pressing into the back belt, it helps the rings move freely. You want to space out your holes in the top belt about 1/4" wider than your bottom ones, and leave a little extra length on the top belt as you're riveting since this method uses a little more material. Also Tandy sells a rivet setting tool for like $7 that's great, works with all sizes of rivets and works in really awkward spaces like right next to buckles or D rings. It has a little concave space for the top of your rivet cap so it looks nice. This was also my first big leather project way way way back when
These are beautiful! I rarely wear belts, even for fashion reasons. But I do have one belt, nice leather, has a small peace sign belt buckle, and it was 50 cents at a thrift store on half off day! I love it!
This is actually easy. Go to a thrift store and find a pair of donor pants that are the right color and style( look for back pockets and cargo pockets). Then you cut the entire pocket out including the fabric behind it. Then you hand sew the pocket onto the pants you want, kind of like sewing a patch but make sure to only sew the back fabric on the the top part of the pocket so you don't sew it shut.
@@imeverywhere6092 you can use any size you want, I use anywhere between 1/2"-2". You can even double them up and use a big one and a small one in the same D-ring for contrast. You can also get them different colors (metal types). 🦖🦖🦖
