Love watching your work Div. It's the ultimate counterpoint to the high dollar catalogue raiding and assembly videos that are much more typical. That bakkie has so much detail and interest that a person could check it out for an hour and not quit get what has gone into it.
That box looks sharp! My father did up a S10 and had similar taillights molded into his box and a roll pan too. For the front end he had a chopped 61 Apache front grille and headlight bezels. You remind me of him. It’s hard to come by creative people like you and him anymore.
''boy you are so lucky to have the supply of parts just laying out in the woods. Over here the junk dealers would have all those part taken to the recycling.
A great Rat rod build! Your spare tire is your bumper. Hey, your saying at the end of the video: Have a lukka-one. That's a new one for me...Does it mean, "Have a lucky one?"
America calling... Have a hard time understanding some of your words but I do understand what I see and like the way you use the junk to make a prize... You make me see how much I can save by getting a little more dirty too... Love what you do...
i think that tire there is a stroke genius its the perfect bumper and somewhere to keep your spare wheel and i actully like the look of it too. but id build a shelf for it as that chain is a faff and a number plate wrapping around that curve would look amazing
I am about to build one similar to my flat bed dump 1974 gmc 3500 dually . I got the right junk. You encouraged me more to go this way. Insurance doesn't need to know my truck dump's. Will be just a regular pickup truck . Thanks for sharing
Brilliant as usual. I think the thinking chair was invited late to the party, you had already solved it in your partnership with the envisioning tool and it got jealous and didn't want to come out to play.
Looks good Diff. Great job. Well you got a step up to get in the bed anyways. Lol Maybe needs some Expanded metal on it. None slip. But one thing did cross my mind that it is one big sail panel and the tail Gate. Cutting down your MPGs. .maybe needs some speed holes. Or luvers. But the flat continental kit works great. Truck coming along nicely. Needs some grab handles on top of bed. I mounted a boot spoiler on the cab roof once. Looked good. You could hold on to it standing in the bed. And I stuck the truck in a ditch and Tboned the front bumper. So I got some treated 8inch by 8 Inch wooden post and made a front bumper..polished the edges and varnished it..they all laffed but it grew on them fast. Lol. Have a good day Diff. Good luck. Lekka Man. Not Arrrrrr Kak Man..lol. Adios. Dino
You got the tailgate sorted, like the spare wheel compartment, could also serve as a step to get into your bed. Like your reference to Ian Russell and his envisioning tool, he's got some great ideas for making stuff fit. I hear some sort of a bird noise sometimes, I suppose it's your local crow.
Boet!!! Its great how you capture your brainstorming and planning sessions in the video for us to see how your ideas progress and evolve from start to finish product!!!
I really enjoy your videos I would subscribe in a minute but I live on a VA Pension and I just don't have any extra money but I will always hit the like button once again I enjoy your work and what you're doing
I like your attitude. It is your truck so do it the way you want it. Leave the yellow paint. Too much of a good things ruins your fun. My kind of guy. I like to mess with peoples mind. If they don’t like it tough.
Very unique ! Reminds me of a "continental kit". Like that you left the plug welds visible. Again , a tremendous amount of work that was made to look easy. Love It !
Thanks my friend across the pond. I'm learning something here - a few people are referring to "Continental kit". No idea what that is, but Google is your friend😅
That looks great. For me the hardest part is deciding what to do. Once you figure out what to want to do, actually doing it the easy part. Creating something on a blank canvas is always the challenge for me. You constantly wondering what will it look like and if it will work with what you have going on... You pulled it of Div...Looks cool and unique. Thank you for sharing.
If you put a piano hinge along the top and 2 barrel bolts at the bottom you can make that panel swing up and you could make it stay up with gas struts, this way it would be easy to drop your spare.
Great design as usual. Very nice craftsmanship also. Have you thought about using seat belt buckles and latches on the inside of the tailgate. More donor parts from the Nissan. Jeff
Duff very nice job recycling that 2nd door man. That's very unique and very nice design there on the back of the rat rod truck. Can't wait to see more videos soon. Keep up the great craftsmanship and hard work my friend. Fab On. Weld On. Keep Making. God bless.
The 1/2 round detail at the bottom of the “ bin sides” should go across the back to the spare tire bulge. Going around the corner of the 1/2 round will be difficult maybe use a cut up exhaust bend ! Just a thought. Recessed tail lights 👍
I love it! The whole back end of the truck really came together and the sideways continental kit looks cool! I can't wait to see what you come up with for the tail lights! 👍
Your ideas are pretty cool. I figured out your round rod clamp from one look and I have to say, smart design, wish I thought of it. Oh on the lower roll pan section, why not make it hinged. Then it could swing up and latch in the up position making a small shelf to set things when needing to access the tire or backside? Then instead of bolts, have slide pins on each bottom side to lock it in the closed position. Kind of like a upside down tailgate hinged at the top. Would be more fabrication, but that is the fun part anyway. Would be cool too.

Thanks brother! Yes man, my mission to show that you dont need catalogues and dollars to build some fun stuff
The way you use the best & worst of old vehicle panels to make a custom vehicle is an inspiration to all.
A true Artform
Thankyou Diff👍
Thanks Bruce. Glad you like

Cool Duff little beer table as a tyer cover. You can sit in your thinking chair with a cold one 🍺 thanks for sharing all you hard work.
Thats a function I didnt think about!😂

We are getting there guys and girls ..give Dif a mention on your other channels to get a few more over help the guy out .sweet👍👍🇦🇺🇦🇺
Thanks for the support Gazza!
That's nice Div, also don't forget the nissan window winders can be fairly easily adapted to fit your truck.
I like the way you built that we're renting that truck
It's looking better and better. Groovy Man !
Really like that 51 Chevy truck it’s excellent and so’s your work!
Thanks 👍
I really like the way the rear fenders turned out. Better then the original
Thanks man! Yeah, very happy with them. Also think the nicer than the original "boxy" ones.
Your hand-made alignment tools are awesome.
Glad you like them!😄
Awesome! The thinking chair worked, you took a huge ugly opening and made it look much better.
Thanks man!

Very impressed. Design, fabrication , execution, all fantastic.

Always a good time seeing what you come up with and how you do it...

Well done Div on reaching 5000 subscribers..

Thanks babes! And thanks for the support and putting up with me 😅
Your creativity is inspiring. Frankentruck is coming together nicely.
Very happy if I can inspire man!

Like the tail pan with rounded piece for your spare tire.
Accuracy, symmetry equals beauty, awesome man.

Getting there! The bird is called a Hadeda. Lots of them here.
GREAT RECYCLING , love your work Diff....Ass end looks TUFF....... have a LAKKA ONE BRO !!!!

Hello Chis from Kentucky!
I love the truck , awesome job.
Cool addition to the already cool truck
Thanks Tommy
every one needs color in their life , nice job ! Maan !
Yeah man! Thanks
I kind of like the yellow bump-out, it grows on you. And after it "rusts up" a bit, it will kind of look like a safety yellow feature, Lol.
Thats what I've also been thinking! Lets see how it turns out. Easy to take off if I dont like it later on😅

Great job! Another 👍🏻👍🏻 from me.

I was thinking a split, extended bumper. Here in Louisiana we have a lot of rear end collisions.
Your ideas are pretty cool. I figured out your round rod clamp from one look and I have to say, smart design, wish I thought of it. Oh on the lower roll pan section, why not make it hinged.
