No just NO. BEFORE you sign on the dotted line, you get your house INSPECTED. It’s 300-500 dollars for the biggest investment of your life. Not doing so is 50x worse than buying a car without having a mechanic look at it first.
It's really no one's fault but hers! "Working hard" has nothing to do with how anyone will treat you! Being "good natured" in trusting others often makes one a target!
In some towns any issues with the sewer lines causing issues inside the home are covered by the city. Not sure what kind of inspector she had because a simple walk through by your average handyman could've pointed out a lot of these things
This is why that' independent woman' mindset is not the way to go, (and yes I heard her say she's a widow) . But soon after such a case, a woman that's wise should IMMEDIATELY replace the situation with male acquaintances from church, or brothers or male cousins or SOMETHING! You can't tell me this woman don't have access to males in her surroundings... A major fail on her part, and bad judgement to trust ' the industry '. Recouping from this ordeal financially is going to be a Major feat to overcome. She can do it, but their is more than one lesson for All of us to learn here.
You sound ridiculous..when was the last time you saw/heard a BM do something for free/goodwill? All BW are nit self proclaimed “independent women” …what if she purchased a home jn a city or state she doesn’t have family or friends yet? The onus on the inspector and HUD not her!
