OG Battlefront 2 is so good that the modding community has essentially reverse engineered its PSP spinoff and ported the maps to it, as well as taking the Xbox engine update and porting the maps and new heroes along with it.
OG bf2 modding is insane, and it's got content of over a decade to go with it. I've seen maps that recreate the assault mode from BF2015 pretty well, and many other things.
I've seen them port the Xbox DLC's maps and heroes, but when did they port the actual engine update? I'm looking at the moddb page for the mod, and it says that Kit Fisto and Ventress had to have their movesets modified in certain gamemodes, because the PC game still doesn't fully support them. Sorry if this's a dumb question, I also happen to be new to the game...
@@fanb1536 That’s OK the reason they had to be modified was due to memory constraints with the engine even with the update I don’t think the game could handle both Kit and Asanj in the map at the same time, The modifications better animations use less memory.
Well if they based the story off something interesting like actually being a stormtrooper and then eventually slowly die from a blaster shot to the gut while your teammates you’ve known for years abandon you without a blink of an eye as you bleed out, before you succumb to your fatal wounds and die. The last thing on your mind was your family. Unfortunately they will never recover his body. Now that would be an emotional rollercoaster. Leave that idea for comics that wouldn’t be a good story what would be better is everything up to you dying what would be better and would extend the game beyond one mission would be: either another stormtrooper saving you’re dying ass or a rebel that took pity on you in which you would fight for that side for a while alongside whichever soldier saved you which gives time for character development also extending the game by many hours until eventually they die in a battle or something idk

Battlefront III needs something that's been missing from the past two games, the ability to walk inside ships and blow up enemy ships via dogfight or from the inside by infiltrating the ships. Especially ground vehicles just like SixToon has stated.

Highly agree with the sentiment over giving new games the same names as their predecessors. It's not always bad, but under certain companies it becomes a marketing strategy that cheaply banks on the predecessor's popularity and fanbase.
The game is actually so repetitive that I've discovered that depending on the map and the AI you're against (in co-op mode), the AI will actually follow a pattern, and either stay with the same command post letter or go back and forth throughout the game. Once you notice the pattern, the game just becomes stupidly easy.

I lost my PlayStation 2 quite a while ago... I moved on to PC and always remembered the fun timesI had playing Star Wars Battlefront 2 (2005) with friends either at their house or at mine. Honestly it's the game that really got me into first person shooters. Anyways, for years it never occurred to me that it's probably on Steam. Best $5 i've ever spent, especially considering the plethora of mods now available for it. New galactic conquests, new instant action settings and characters to play, updated graphics, everything you could think of has been modded into that game. I still go back and play it when I am looking for some mindless fun.
