Think about how amazing gta online actually is (or could be if there werent so many hackers and shit) but that you can just do whatever and do heists with friends, drive around, go into each others apartments and cars. its that someone allowed you to actually do all those things with friends what makes these games so amazing.
Every game for me boiled down to "Oh you think you're big and bad cuz you have shields and a ton of fighters? FUCK YOU imma land inside and go full Rambo on your ass" ahh good times
It's no coincidence that It was mainly a single player experience. This means the devs were focused on making the game fun to play, nothing more. EA only seems to care about lazy online games with no passion or soul created to monetize players. Despite every update, their fake Battlefront is still a boring game with no replay value. This became even more evident once It stopped receiving content.

If they took this game, and just put up to date graphics on it, you’d have a top selling game guaranteed Fellas, it’s coming. Quit commenting I’ve seen the trailer and the 5000 comments since the announcement
game was incredibly unbalanced though. It was easy to spam grenades, and often the game would bug and glitch because of shier amount of AI being stuck fighting in a hallway, spamming grenades and rocket launchers. Also the heros were basically dragonball characters with lightsabers, the only thing that can kill them are probably bombers, which were incredibly overpowered on ground missions. making it into a online game with 40 or even 64 players, would reek havoc on the frame rates, and on the gameplay balance.
As someone who didn’t have internet when I was 7 when this came out, the ability to create a whole playlist offline of different maps mixing in space battles and going from the republic era to the empire era was amazing!! I’d always end with the last match on the death star. So much fun.
When Battlefront (2015) was announced I was so freaking hyped because I naively assumed it was going to be like a love letter to the game I spent my childhood playing. My disappointment was immeasurable.
My dad bought me that game back when it was released, as a surprise. I only played it once, got bored, became disappointed, didn’t play it ever again. Good thing I played the original Battlefront 2 first, EA should be burnt alive
Who’s here after the announcement today? I’m so excited to finally play on next gen consoles! Edit: That’s all Aspyr’s fault for the game being broken at launch. Luckily I’m in College currently and I’m not buying the game until the end of the semester. Hopefully by then they’ll listen to the fans and fix the game properly. They have to fix it… right?!?
@@gamer10137 Yes... If you compare battlefront I and II you can see things really good from the first that didn't appear in the second. First of all lights and shadows effects, in the I are good in the II simply do no exist.. the possibility to jump on a x wing from the ground and move the battle in the air, in battlefront I you could also lay down, there was also a lot of maps that would have been great to have also in the II. I guess that maybe there were also a lot of hardware (and memory) limitations at the time, so to include space battle they may have erase lights effects and deleted some maps. By the way it was a shame they did not include Bespin Platform in Battlefront 2, that map was one of the best of ever.
By the way... when the game were made to have fun together physically in multiplayer and not only based on online mode. I never forgive EA to have totally ignored potentiality of Galactic conquest
@@Potandthekettle Gta san andreas was like that too a lot of features got removed cuz of console limitations at that time wouldn't be surprised if that was the case for star wars too
Ngl the heroes mechanics were perfect, you had decent health on kill but a constant decrease in health when not killing so you couldn't camp or sit and wait for any health to come back. You had to become an aggressive player to survive as a hero in this game and it meant you either died or lived long enough to actually be useful for your team. So simple but the best system.
The best little detail about Battlefront 2 was, that on Polis Massa, you could run without a vehicle out on to the surface. If you were a droid you got no dmg while running to the enemy hangar, and as a human you could keep using health packs and barely make it. Good stuff right there. They didn't need to allow the player to leave the hangar without vehicle but they did.
The Act Man also during space battles if you were the republic or empire you can land outside the shield and walk around parts of the ship in space and if you amwere lucky could jump to a nearby frigate 👌 loved this game
I’ll never forget screaming “FOR THE CHANCELLOR!” during dodgeball in elementary school and the all guys laughing and all the girls confused. Best game ever
Hostile reinforcement count is diminishing. We lost an outpost. Take it back! Same some for the rest of us! Score one for the republic. I really need to reinstall that game...
I owe some of my fondest memories to this game. My buddy Lawson managed to convince our computer lab teacher to let him put BF2 on all the computers in the lab. Every day after we finished our work we would have like 20 person LAN parties of just bf2. We would play all maps space and ground. It was truly one of the happiest times in my life. And that’s was only like 3 years ago.
Wow, it sounds like Lawson must be a very convincing person! The only way your story could possibly be any better is if you got your teacher to join in on playing😂
You know the game is good when you can play against bots in the campaign and galactic conquest and its really really fun. I never even tried to play this game online and it was still one of my favorite games for the PS2. I fondly remember the space battles and the map where you play as wookies vs droids.
Same exact thing for me. When you really think about it when this came out, online multiplayer was the exception not the rule. Playing online multiplayer on the PS2 was almost unheard of at my school and within my friend group.
It breaks my heart so much that Battlefront III never saw the light of day. It looked so ambitious, so excellent, so incredible, and yet it never happened...
It’s unfortunate that Dice with today's technology could have made the PERFECT Star Wars Battlefront game, but decided to go in the opposite direction than the fans. Just imagine Galactic Conquest, and the MASSIVE wars! Ironically EA mostly cares about money, but if they just did what the fans wanted, they would be swimming in it!
@@helpfulapple3125 Galactic Assault is loads of fun, but I don't like how almost every map ends with choke points. That's why Geonosis is my favorite. I've got a feeling that if they do make a Battlefront 3, that they will probably bring back Galactic Conquest. Especially because of the success of Supremacy.
DaRumpleKing 100 I think EA said that a BF3 was unlikely (I’m not sure if they said this during the loot box fiasco or after the game’s redemption), but we can only hope for one.
@@fraserduffy4576 unfinished how though? I don’t recall downloading DLC and Patches to fix a game. If it was released on the shelf for sale it was done. It may have been a garbage game or buggy but that’s what you got.
@@django_freeman27 I mean, understand what people say about kotor 2. But they chose to cut stuff out from the story. I’m talking about a game that is what it is when you buy it, regardless of whether it sucks or not. My point is there was no patch work or DLC back then.
@@fraserduffy4576 pffft that is such a bad criticism even now when you compare games from the early 2000s to end 2000s, that's an understatement. Cyberpunkj 2077, Dead or Alive 6, and Fallout 76... yikes didn't age well at all. Considering what has come out in the last 5-7 years full of early access, micro-transactions and god for bit gambleboxes -- I'd still trade "this form of unfinished" as they have more value now.
I was born in '01, so this game was my entire childhood with my Dad playin' split screen on our PS2. . . I *love* this game. It's got such a special place in my heart, and Galactic Conquest really is a gamemode no other Star Wars game has managed to do. Like, Battlefront 2, the more recent one, missed so many opportunities. They should have just revamped this game with some improvements. It would have been the best game released by EA. But nope. . . They made that game. . . That horrible game. . .
Coming here to mention I was born in '99 and played the FUCK out of battlefront 2 (easily 5000+ hours into the singleplayer alone as i didnt have internet). I recently got the new EA battlefront 2 on sale for thanksgiving and while it isn't NEARLY as good or has near as much content or gamemodes I do think they do a handful of things far better. For example I really do think heroes are handled MUCH better in EA BF2. THey feel still overwhelmingly strong to most troops but feel like they're just a 3rd tier of troops past the special troops rather than being unkillable gods(unless you're in a vehicle) like they felt in OG BF2. They also don't suffer from the time limit/constant health drain OG BF2 had which was my biggest issue with them in that game. I also think the star cards are incredibly thoughtful and had the game been able to be developed more (so basically if EA hadn't pulled DICE off the game) that it could have been a really good system that went really deep rather than how it seems to currently work where you kind of just run Bounty Hunter on every class to rush into higher level units. I also think the extra bling added to the game with the skins and emotes was a very welcome addition. If only EA didn't pull the plug on one of the potentially best games they could have ever had on their belt just to have that team then work on one of the biggest flops in recent gaming history.
My son was also born in '01. I built a second PC for network play side by side. Does that compensate for being a less than perfect dad? Maybe not but it made me a dad.
My experience when I first played Battlefront 2. "Oh look, an ATAT." *Walks over to ATAT* "Can I get in it?" *Gets into ATAT* "OH MY GOD I CAN DRIVE THE METAL CAMEL!" *Walks around killing everything without worrying about some bullshit timer.* "I AM GOD!!! FEEL MY WRATH PUNY REBELS!!! ALL HAIL THE METAL CAMEL!" Ahhhh, good times good times.
Total awesomeness I KNOW RIGHT! So pissed when I first played Battlefront 2015. You know, the sad thing is when I got rid of 2015 Battlefront I was legitimately joyed about it being gone. When my PS2 gave out and I had to sell my games to get my first Xbox 360, I didn't want to give away my Battlefront 2. I was so sad to see it go.
My reaction to both the original Battlefronts, both 1 and 2. Though I do think the first is a bit harder since the snowspeeders do guarantee a cabled death.
I only wanted a full raiding party in my imperial shuttle then i look behind me and theres some stormtrooper ignoring me and full on sprinting to the bomber to the far end of the hangar
dude every time i played space battles i did it all,my favorite thing to do was keeping my guy alive so long that it felt like he had his own back story.i also loved landing in their hangar bay and stealing vulture droids, then goin out and destroying their command ship from the outside. man i love this game,i wish they'd put it on the xbox one.
Hopefully someday they will. At the moment they seem to have some weird idea about what to make backwards compatible but they make KOTOR back compat so that's good news.
I remember being the last man on my team and then coming in clutch with the win. I defeated an entire enemy team. Still consider it my greatest achievement in gaming.
It really gets your heart pumping. Capture one command post, fight off the attacking hordes for as long as you can, then run to another command post and repeat.
@@kellerlamper3479 Kamino is good. It's always a challenge to dodge all the sniper fire when taking some of those outside platforms. I get kind of sick of the AIs getting in the turrets though. if you get the chance you should since clones spawn from transport ships the enemy ship got flooded from the inside and the clones kept takeing enemy ships to attack the enemy battleship XP
Omg I remember picking a clone with a launcher, getting into a ship, landing in a separatist hanger, fighting my way through to the engine room thing with those green canisters and destroying them.. maybe it’s cause I was just so young but I found that so difficult to pull off perfectly but when I did it, it was the funnest thing
Joe Taylor I have high expectations for the new game mode of Battlefront 2 (2017) that’s coming out tomorrow, and it will be similar to what you’re saying, the objective is to take down capital ships from the inside, I think it’s going to be awesome!
Joe Correia no it’s not, we’ve not had to pay for 1 DLC in the last 2 years the games been out. They’ve also acknowledged the fact they messed up and are now working on bringing regular content in the game FOR FREE.
I remember when I was playing as jango when surrounded by Jedi on hero mode I got annoyed at the Jedi(think it was wondu)deflecting my blaster and said "ok deflect this" fired a wrist rocket at windu and then quickly rolled out the way in shock
@@Silvio_Nightwind I haven't played the og battlefront games so I don't know what they were like but if a fucking port of a game from 2 decades ago is this bad... damn
@Mixedhero 2017 is actually fairly good now - it was shit at launch but two years later? It's pretty decent. Although yeah being able to choose servers would be a nice, there's actually a lot of content now. P2W is also gone. It's by no means a great game but it's not bad anymore either.
Raiders of the Lost Arkatin yeah until they had to fucking ruin capital supremacy, when it first came out it was awesome but now is just a pile of shit, I really want to love bf2 but I just can’t
My 12 yo nephew is obsessed with this game right now. He barely plays the ps4 and all the awesome games he has for that and plays this one instead. 90% of the time.
You should check out Angels Fall First. It's a sandbox sci-fi shooter that can be played 100% solo with full AI support. Many say it's a modernized Star Wars Battlefront 2 (classic) and Battlefield 2142.
Way back when Star Wars Battlefront was announced for current gen consoles, I about pissed my knickers in excitement. I have kept telling my friends "All they need to do is make the exact same game but iron it out". But we all know how the story ends.
Hearing Vader's breathing on Dagobah was one of the scariest moments in gaming. Going in to capture it and then spinning around firing blindly, hoping to land a shot or two before you die, only to find out he's not there.
There was also a tiny detail that was really cool. On Polis Massa, living creatures would suffocate when not in a vehicle, and outside of the airlock. The droids didn't, so you can run across the moon's surface as a droid.
TF2BluSoldier IMO I think the Clone Troopers and Stormtroopers should be able to do that since their suits have 5 minute long life support systems, since the CIS usually doesn't need the help given how they're the faction that tends to win.
When I play singleplayer I always win unless the grenade spam is more intense then usual. Then again I have the achievment that perma unlocks the elite rifle.
Rossume Rossume Bro, I loved that achievement so much. It was something you worked for so long to get, and then when you won it, it felt earned. I wish more games did that nowadays. I kinda understand why, cuz they don't want some Lvl 100 who already has an experience advantage to have even more of one in equipment, but I still miss it.
One of my favorite map features was Polis Massa. Since there was no breathable oxygen on the map, going outside would slowly kill you. UNLESS you were a droid. The droids would, oddly, still make choking sounds, but they keep their HP.
The fact that I often installed this game just to play space battles for hours says alot. I like the campaign and standard ground battles, but space battles felt like a separate game and could easily spent hours playing it.
2:33 THAT right there... is one of the most intense maps ever. You have the one side you are up against while also having to fight a neutral Tusken Raider team that attacks everybody. Not to mention a neutral sarlaac pit placed in a key area between three command posts. That map... that little area was a blood bath and I wished the OG Battlefront 2 brought it back
I loved that vehicle with the guns on the side and the front, and how even in speeders the sarlacc pit could still kill you, and how the tusken raiders actually played a vital part One of my best memories though, was on that map, you know how you spawn near the sandcrawler? near there, you got those rocks to go towards the base to the right of the sarlacc pit, there was Count Dooku in the midst of those rocks, surrounded by like 12 clones including me, all shooting at him, and he died it looked so cool
MCNT052 Killing Dooku felt like a movie moment right? I know how you feel. In that game, the heroes were legit hella scary. Blocking almost everything you threw at them. Walking death machines. I don't think, as a kid, I get killed a hero in that game
I wish we could've gone prone like we could in Battlefront 1, that and the OG darktrooper's Shotgun was miles better than the arc-caster, that piece of shit got me teamkilled soooo many times.
When you would shoot them with say, biggest gun I can think of, AT-AT main cannon or something, and they block it o_0 At that point I was really annoyed, it was my goal to kill them since they kept killing my guys and defying fairness (legit blocking from every angle is so not fair lol) So I would Shoot explosions near them and force them off edges land on them and run over them good times Oh, i loved the first time you got on top of an AT-AT as a rebel, and the other one tries to shoot you but ends up killing the one you're on XD
Arc gun was so underwhelming, but I played the death trooper anyway because of one reason You could use the jump pack full charge, at the point of your highest reach, de-activate then reactivate to launch yourself again mid air and go FLYING then pull out your pistol because Yeah
This game distracted me from a lot when I was young. I had a lot of family issues and this was an escape from reality. I always wanted to meet the creators. I'm getting really emotional writing this.
No kidding. I just bought and downloaded it onto my PC bc it's always left me with that itch that literally no other game has ever been able to scratch. If EA were to bring it back I'd hope they would only update the cinematic scenes, the graphics in general, ironing out the aim controls a little better, and maybe updating the movement animations and such. But that's it, I'd be pretty upset if they turned it into another piggy bank lol. Or I'd love to see modders update all of the things I mentioned in the first place; if they wanted to.
Dude your correct bout everything I remember when I was in elementary school I would rush home to play Star Wars battlefront 2 and I had a blast. Me and my friends took turns to see who would get the most points and we had pizza and game night at my house and play it all night. I miss it the good ol Star Wars battlefront 2, it brings back good memories
I remember when I used to play this with my childhood friend Alex. Mostly, though, I played on my own. This game along with Halo 3, Mario Kart (Wii), and Super Mario Bros (DS) basically defined my childhood.
I did a poll on the SW Facebook page I was on at the time and asked Would you rather pay 120$ for Battlefront 2005, fully remastered. Or 20$ for Battlefront 2017. Over 80% of the people who answered (there were hundreds) said they'd pay the 120$ 😅
imagine put those games together like you are in space fighting then you get a LAAT and go fliying to the planet then land and let some men as reinforcements, then you take of and go back to the space and take more soldiers from the cruiser repeating that until you win or lose
All EA had to do was update the graphics, improve the multiplayer’s ping, add a few extra maps, ad some cutscenes, maybe a cosmetics DLC and they would have had the best videogame of all time
How can a whole ass company be so greedy and stupid, I don't get it. Actually maybe they're very smart, exploiting nostalgic adults and young star wars fans alike in order to get money. Sad but its a good business strategy with P2W lootboxes because idiots buy it up over and over.
The First Game ok, People see Battlefront (Ea) Pulls a few nostalgia strings expects it to be pretty similar ends up being bland and non playable without a $50 add on. Battlefront 2 (EA) Stellar Graphics, littered with greed. Fuck EA Canceled a Star wars game that would be like Uncharted. imagine that for a moment
I would play this on my ps2 with my friend on split screen, and we got unexplainably excited when we found out first person was available. I would pay so much just for a graphical remake of this game.
Yes! The ability to choose your perspective always intrigued me as well. Ratchet and clank did it as well and that very reason is what made me fall in love with these two games. Oh how I wish gaming would go back to that Era
Still playable on PS2. Use the new DNS code to play online: 74.91.125.138 or 45.7.228.197 We have a group of players that go on every Friday night and we have a FB group. Let me know if you want to join
For a second i was about to comment on your hypocracy since battlefront 2 is literaly microtransaction the game. Then i realized it was classic battlefront 2 and all is forgiven.
Tosha Holley...you're very misinformed...EA did that so their reviews wouldn't be so bad, but they'll be back lol everyone knows that this is EA we're talking about
God Smash saying that they are gone right now, which they they are also which I said doesn't make it misinformed I know they have a possibility of being back but that has nothing to do with me saying it's gone "right now" the rest is a later issue
Yeah but the servers are pretty laggy, some of them are good to play at but not a lot i would probably recommend this for PC beacuse of the mods but the PC port dosent have splitscreen so buy it on console if ur gonna play with friends
There actually was DLC for this game, but like you said, not at all necessary. You could spend $5 to get Kit Fisto and Asajj Ventress for heroes and villains and you got Bespin, 2 Rhen Var maps and a Yavin Arena. Pretty great deal because the new hero characters were absolutely a blast to play and Bespin was one of the best maps in the game. Not to mention you got another map to play hero's v villains which was the best part.
Bro I legit thought that I was the only nerd that played this game! Seeing over 3 million views gives me the most amazing chills. Hello brothers and sisters!
This game and Republic Commando freaking ruled. I was one of the beta testers before this game was finished and released, and I got to play the space battles, and the Fall of the Republic campaign up to Operation: Knightfall (the attack on the Jedi Temple in the Order 66 sequence), and part of the feedback I gave was to mark where on enemy capital ships to drop bombs and fire missiles to destroy them. Awesome video, man! So many great memories dug back up. Like sniping the Queen of Naboo from the balcony above the courtyard.
even tho I was late to all these games I remember spending every single and all summer the playing shit out of these games and i don't regret a single second
Installed this game last night. Played through a whole Galactic Conquest game as the Empire. The last Rebel planet was Polis Massa, a map that was always either massive and open or tiny and cramped. I activated the Enhanced Blasters bonus and went in as a Stormtrooper. Unfortunately, the Rebels used the Garrison bonus. This would've definitely screwed me over as they would've wiped us out with 50 lives to spare. Luckily I didn't die once, and by the end of the map, wileth the Award blaster, War Hero achievement (bonus damage) and Enhanced Blasters bonus I was one-shotting every rebel I came across. Had an absolute ball. It was still a challenge. Best game of all time? Almost definitely.
For a while, Star Wars games were bad, like a streak of bad luck way back in the day. And then, a golden era blossomed for a certain amount of time, and just an incredible, immense amount of truly grade-A games came out under the license. Rogue Squadron, KOTOR, Republic Commando, Battlefront, Empire at War, Jedi Academy, on and on and on and on. And it was glorious. I mean, these are the sort of games you'd still play today. I still go back and replay KOTOR 1 and 2 occasionally. I'd still load up Battlefront 2 and board the enemy ship to take out their [autoturret defense system]. I sure as hell still play Empire at War. I mean, the mods made for it, fan-made creations that add in old Legends content, or takes it into the Clone Wars era with incredible depth of content? A golden era, that is now, sadly, over.
Fusilier I played The EA Star Wars Battlefront. I think it’s okay but the original Star Wars Battlefront 2 looks intense! I wish I could play it again. You can Infiltrate Enemy Ships!!! Am I right?
When the homies came over the night always ended with Heroes on Battlefront 2, its unbelievable how they managed to totally ignore such an amazing formula for a game. If they just polished it up a bit and made the controls a little less clunky and rereleased it would certainly become an amazing success. I still remember that moment at the end of every game trying to get your character in mid backflip for the freeze frame.
I miss the old days... When I was a kid, I'd be dragged out of the house by my parents to do errands and go shopping for various things all over town. After a particularly long day, my dad agrees when I ask to stop by a nearby game store to browse. I see a game on the shelf with an awesome title, or cool box art, or is part of one of my favourite franchises and beg my dad to let me get it, and eventually he'd give in if he was in a good mood. You treat that disc like it was gold in your hands as you head on home. Then when you get home, you rush around doing the last few chores for the day (or homework) before you get to sit down in front of the Xbox, shove that new disc in, and the game would boot up in seconds. No patching required, no dlc advertisements in your face, no special currency to buy, no lootboxes to open... what happened??? :(
Games got bigger so it's harder to just put in the disc and play... but yeah all the DLCs piss me off especially when they're released soon after the game releases like wtf
Fun fact! During the space battle you can choose a pilot and when your carrier ship's shielding goes down, you could go to the ship's shielding room and slowly slowly repair the machine until the shielding comes back online. Little aspects like that is what makes the game soo good.
Yep! or on certain maps where you could destroy the enemy ships turbo lasers to keep them from bringing down your capital ship's shields faster. So many little details.
Haha i remember when i was 5 or 6 we got battlefront 2 and I was bad at the space missions so I would camp inside the main ship and just repair the shields and wait for my team to win for me
I always liked how Rise of the Empire mode filled in the story gap between episodes 3 and 4, all the minor rebellions that had to be put down before the Galactic Civil war heated up. Some of this may be red-conned by Rogue One but Pandemic really made the most out of a simple campaign setup.
That's similar to what star wars rebels did, they showed that were many smaller rebel cells before the war and eventually joined together as the rebel alliance.

Also the heros were basically dragonball characters with lightsabers, the only thing that can kill them are probably bombers, which were incredibly overpowered on ground missions. making it into a online game with 40 or even 64 players, would reek havoc on the frame rates, and on the gameplay balance.

You missed a detail! The death star has a trash compactor
Yea i love this little secret
I loved running down there to lure my brother only for him to get crushed. Good times
Really I didn't figured that out!
Time to play it on PC.
I remember finding that
to be fair there was a lot of details in this game
They didn't need to allow the player to leave the hangar without vehicle but they did.
underrated detail right here!
The Act Man also during space battles if you were the republic or empire you can land outside the shield and walk around parts of the ship in space and if you amwere lucky could jump to a nearby frigate 👌 loved this game
Frost Ultimate I used to do that all the time! it was the coolest thing
On Hoth, did Anyone else jump onto the top of the AT-AT walkers as Luke and start slicing at it?
Flint25 I did, and still do. Even to the at-st
I’ll never forget screaming “FOR THE CHANCELLOR!” during dodgeball in elementary school and the all guys laughing and all the girls confused. Best game ever

The fact that you could go into the enemy ship and tear it apart from the inside was always so awesome.
Yep
Really made you feel like you were infiltrating the enemy star ship, so that their defenses were crippled, giving your own starship an advantage
But nope. . . They made that game. . . That horrible game. . .
it’s not the worst, but they missed out on what they couldve done.
DAMN IF YOU WERE BORN IN YEAR 1 DOES THAT MEAN THAT YOU SAW JESUS ------:
the new battlefront 2 is really good now after the "updates"(key word) but it's payable and fun.

It's the other way around for me. The Republic always seems to win.
I played Galactic Conquest a bunch on the PC. I was the Galactic Republic and I absolutely destroyed the CIS.
One of my favorite map features was Polis Massa. Since there was no breathable oxygen on the map, going outside would slowly kill you.
UNLESS you were a droid. The droids would, oddly, still make choking sounds, but they keep their HP.

2:33 THAT right there... is one of the most intense maps ever. You have the one side you are up against while also having to fight a neutral Tusken Raider team that attacks everybody. Not to mention a neutral sarlaac pit placed in a key area between three command posts. That map... that little area was a blood bath and I wished the OG Battlefront 2 brought it back
I loved that vehicle with the guns on the side and the front, and how even in speeders the sarlacc pit could still kill you, and how the tusken raiders actually played a vital part
One of my best memories though, was on that map, you know how you spawn near the sandcrawler? near there, you got those rocks to go towards the base to the right of the sarlacc pit, there was Count Dooku in the midst of those rocks, surrounded by like 12 clones including me, all shooting at him, and he died
it looked so cool
MCNT052 Killing Dooku felt like a movie moment right? I know how you feel. In that game, the heroes were legit hella scary. Blocking almost everything you threw at them. Walking death machines. I don't think, as a kid, I get killed a hero in that game
I wish we could've gone prone like we could in Battlefront 1, that and the OG darktrooper's Shotgun was miles better than the arc-caster, that piece of shit got me teamkilled soooo many times.
When you would shoot them with say, biggest gun I can think of, AT-AT main cannon or something, and they block it

At that point I was really annoyed, it was my goal to kill them since they kept killing my guys and defying fairness (legit blocking from every angle is so not fair lol)
So I would
Shoot explosions near them and force them off edges
land on them
and run over them
good times
Oh, i loved the first time you got on top of an AT-AT as a rebel, and the other one tries to shoot you but ends up killing the one you're on XD

The fact I'm still seeing recent comments on this 2 year old video says a lot. This game needs to be brought back
@@caseyhall2320 The only thing EA would bring back is lootboxes and releasing the game 40% done
@@Soldier14 I mean, they released this "Star Wars Battlefront 2" game. What a shame. Not even 40%
Nice pfp. I'm hyped for odst's release on PC
@Shabaka Smkss especially firefight. It's my favorite mode on all of halo

Hold your horses. Explain Bryan
Just reading this brings me back to hanging with my friends and doing the same thing on BF2. Fuck dude I feel old lmao
Surely you mean "had a blaster"
AlabamaCowboy I still have my Battlefront 2 to my PS2, the memories.
I remember when I used to play this with my childhood friend Alex.
Mostly, though, I played on my own.
This game along with Halo 3, Mario Kart (Wii), and Super Mario Bros (DS) basically defined my childhood.

If they remastered 1 and 2 and put them in a collection like the mcc id buy it.
Theyd need to put the dlc with it too.
I did a poll on the SW Facebook page I was on at the time and asked
Would you rather pay 120$ for Battlefront 2005, fully remastered.
Or
20$ for Battlefront 2017.
YES JUST REMASTER THEM! SCREW THESE STORIES SCREW INSIDE LOOKS SCREW LOOT BOXES JUST REMASTER THESE GAMES
@@LandSharkCorner with online play would be great
All EA had to do was update the graphics, improve the multiplayer’s ping, add a few extra maps, ad some cutscenes, maybe a cosmetics DLC and they would have had the best videogame of all time
Its kind of sad how easy this would be, and Incredible. It's like they never looked at what made the original games so good.
well EA isnt the brightest
Dig Strayan and make the story better. Seriously that one sucked
Oh how I wish gaming would go back to that Era
there are some mods that completely overhaul the graphics. its not the best you'll ever see but they're much better than the original

Back in the days where you bought a game that was the complete game. No need for DLC or paid content.
Jose Martinez The only DLC I could think of was the famous Jabba's Palace map for the console version of Battlefront 1 (2004)

Wow thank you for giving that feedback to them. You may have actually gotten them to improve the game simply based on your suggestion, that's awesome!
From knights of the old republic to republic commando to battlefront 1 and 2 to force unleashed, old star wars games are great

Forbesie man so many awesome memories. So,glad to have it on Xbox One. And yea the AI was actually smart and adaptive. Loved that
It’s a great game but nowhere near the best of all time. Come on, lads, don’t be blind just for the sake of nostalgia.
Polis Massa was always the last cell of that rebel scum :)
I fucking HATE GEONOSIS WITH A PASSION, that map sucks dick
Forbesie Coincidence?! I THINK NOTT
Am I right?
ofc you can, you can even bring a group of friends with you inside your ship to infiltrate as a squad.. or fly two ships.. do anything you want really
Fusilier how dare you leave out lego Star Wars?!
Fusilier Hey, star wars battlefront elite squadron for the psp was the bomb back in the day.
No Starwars Game will ever be better than the KOTOR series imo. I use to want KOTOR movies.. but now i'm not so sure they'd do KOTOR justice.
We're so back!
I spent at least a quarter of my youth in galactic conquest
When the homies came over the night always ended with Heroes on Battlefront 2, its unbelievable how they managed to totally ignore such an amazing formula for a game. If they just polished it up a bit and made the controls a little less clunky and rereleased it would certainly become an amazing success. I still remember that moment at the end of every game trying to get your character in mid backflip for the freeze frame.
Yooo I forgot that those backflips and side flips were clean I miss this game so much
Or an across the map headshot with a sniper
Three red lights of death.
Squeezing out every possible penny/Making more money with dlc s expensions etc happened
The bull shit will continue until it's no longer profitable.
Games got bigger so it's harder to just put in the disc and play... but yeah all the DLCs piss me off especially when they're released soon after the game releases like wtf
Xbox lmao gtfo
This came up in my recommended as they released the new trailer. We're back baby!
Except it took a fuckload of time and standing there with a welder for 5 minutes and doing nothing else isn't really fun.
Haha i remember when i was 5 or 6 we got battlefront 2 and I was bad at the space missions so I would camp inside the main ship and just repair the shields and wait for my team to win for me
@@fpp144 Haha, that is awesome.

The last time I played Galactic Conquest, the clones tried attacking Geonosis *8* Times.
EIGHT.
Bro I feel. I just finished the clone side of GC, and I had to fight on Naboo 7 times. Either invading or defending.
I had to defend hoth for 3 hours with four of my buddies, it was nothing like the simulations
It's a system we can't afford to lose.
yknow, you pretty much got everything after the clones attacked the 4th time, clones were just really making sure you got everything for GC
Noobs :D
I always liked how Rise of the Empire mode filled in the story gap between episodes 3 and 4, all the minor rebellions that had to be put down before the Galactic Civil war heated up. Some of this may be red-conned by Rogue One but Pandemic really made the most out of a simple campaign setup.
That's similar to what star wars rebels did, they showed that were many smaller rebel cells before the war and eventually joined together as the rebel alliance.
It felt like the story added a lot of more depth to the star wars universe it made the world feel more believable and human.
The remastered version just announced and had to check out for the nostalgia
