To show before/after you can just press alt/opt and click the eye on the firs layer. This shows you only that layer or all together. I am sure you already knew that, but if I taught something to you it'll be just a crumb of the thankfulness for what you taught me!
Picked a lot of things from this quick video! I will definitely join your school as soon as I am employed again. Thank you for sharing your knowledge here on TH-cam too!
I always wondered how food photography looks so appetizing when done right on those store poster ads. Some of it is in the food prep and lighting, and the rest in the editing and boosting contrast, highlights, saturation selectively. Thanks for tips on editing. I may try more food photography now (usually I only do other types of product not food.)
I don't mind that, because everything that's advertised is edited - what I loathe are obvious composite shots like this one, where it's so clear the beer and burger have been shot at totally different angles. It makes the items look comparable in size, when we know they're not.
all photos are edited. By the computer first and then by the photographer. You cannot view a raw image without a computer editing to view. Editing to achieve what the eye sees is often needed due to the limitations of the camera sensor to achieve the same result as the human eye.

Thanks yes I did know, although I don't know why I got confused doing it this time!

So glad to see some useful info and not a presentation for the release of a set of pancake lenses. Much appreciated Karl.
Glad it was helpful!
I love how frank he is when critiquing photos x)...
"It looks DEAD."

Thank you
Good job.Thanks for the video.
Thanks for watching!
you need to start adding key in caption for when you do a specific action with shortcuts keys. Great edit though thanks
Very nice example ;)
Thanks! 😃
Looks better Karl. I would have thought you would have cropped it vertically much more as there is a lot of dead space above the burger.
I’m assuming that’s there for words or graphics to be dropped in.
thanks for the helpful video.
I thought the first thing that you would do would be to remove about 50% of the background from the top down.
Great video!!! Could’ve lifted up the exposure of the foam as well 😊
There's a lot more I could do if it wasn't 10mins.
sir how did you invert that saturation mask in 2:15 . Sorry I'm beginner in this
'Command' and 'I'

Great job.
Even a non alcoholic vegan would love it ;-)

Can you please give us the download link for this raw photo so we can practice post processing editing on it...
Thank u sir 😊
the edge of the burger should be fixed
The beer is light because it's probably an American beer, Ha
🤣🤣
:)
I don't think food photos should be allowed to be edited for advertisement purposes.
