An amazing thing about Rothery’s solo in “Easter” is that when they were first recording the album, he nailed that solo on the first take. The final product on the album is essentially unchanged from that first play. Sheer genius.

Yeah, Rothery, like Hogarth, impresses me every single time. These guys are incredible musicians. Thank you very much for watching!

We have long been known as “Freaks”, which was a fun b-side by the band in the 80s. We are also known as “Marillionaires”.

Thanks for the reaction guys! That "falsetto" before the guitar solo is all Steve Rothery's mastery of his guitar. I've seen him do that live. Mark Kelly is the keyboard player. Ian Mosley is the drummer. Pete Trewavas (treh-wah-vahs) is the bass player. Marillion definitely is a "family". Everyone who runs their business is a member, and the fans are the "extended family". If you go to a Marillion concert you feel the vibe. You could hear the audience singing the chorus in this song, for example.

Thank you for sharing your insights on Marillion's band members and the concert experience. It's always great to connect with fans who appreciate the music on a deeper level. After all that's how we met right.

I was having sleep well, I left that. I fought more and more in love with this band Everyday. What did you think about my comment about Rothery? Better not being left out of a conversation about top 10 guitar players. And I was curious what you thought about my Warren Haynes comparison.

@@DannyLeeOGT Steve Rothery needs to be ranked up with the finest melodic guitar players. So Warren Haynes is right there.

@@digibirder I'm not sure why that's who come to mind, but it is. really besides David Gilmour, who obviously Warren Hayes emulates as he played the whole album in that bar. There isn't a lot of comparison for Rothery. And that blows me away, that that is the guitar doing that falsetto. I thought I had found some kind of hidden gem and I would be one of the only reactor who had caught that. I was totally wrong thinking that was Hogarth Was doing it, but somehow I feel like that may have been the band's intentions all along. Are there only four members? Why do I feel like I'm missing one?

For your next Marillion reaction to celebrate your tenth reaction to the band, let me suggest you do one of their long epics, "Ocean Cloud". It has an unusual inspiration, the life and amazing accomplishments of Donald Allum, the first man to row a boat across the Atlantic Ocean from Europe to North America, then back to Europe, not just once, but twice. Hogarth went through a compositional period where he was very interested in human obsession, and he and the band not only provide us with a musical journey across the ocean, but also through the mind of Mr. Allum, looking for an explanation as to what would have compelled a man to risk his life and stress his body that way. It takes a while to take a rowboat across the Atlantic, so the song is over 17 minutes long, but more than well worth the investment of your time. th-cam.com/video/R2gSZXqpr2g/w-d-xo.html

Yes, absolutely love this band. And please, don't take this as me sound and greedy. But they have never once shared revenue with us. I'm not sure why, cause I look at other reaction channels, and I haven't seen that many that have done as many or more songs that we have. And by sharing revenue, a lot of people thinks that means taking money away from the band. It does it. It means the revenue that this channel would make off of the ads that people watch while watching the reaction is shared with us. The may have never done that, and I've disputed every time. I've been very nice and polite and told them that we were an upcoming channel. We didn't have much money that we had never even had a month where we made more money than we paid to run the channel. And I'm really not sure why, cause almost every band we do shares revenue, there might be certain songs that they don't, but Marillion has never once ever shared. I'm not saying that would stop us. but we literally don't make enough money to cover the program. Now we have leases on all of the computers and the equipment we got right now. So once those get paid off, we'll be breaking even now. And I'm happy with that. But I guess that's why we haven't returned back to them yet, because we don't have any wiggle room. Does that make sense? Please, don't think I'm being greedy. but it is free advertising for the band. Tons of new people on channels get introduced to these bands. I don't know how Marillion and feels, but apparently, they don't like reactions.

Steve Rothery = better than Gilmour. Seen them live many, many times (the first time was in 1989 when they toured Seasons End, the album this song is taken from). Simply brilliant, Britains best kept musical secret 🤐 .

Listen to any of the top 40 and you'll see why. More than 3 chords, words that meen something and make you think. Not really chart fodder are they?!?!
Listen to Brave, the album is a concept album about a teenage girl who's abused by her father, runs away from home, gets involved with drugs and finally commits suicide. Not really radio friendly but truely epic.
